[Action]

[The newcomer had enjoyed his swim until the robots showed up. Chasing them didn't seem to do anything, so he gave up and hesitantly left the Bay in hopes of finding somewhere peaceful and without any more creepy metal people. Or meeting Thoth. Either would be fine.

So now in Nova City, there is a young man shaking out the excess moisture from his hair without caring that he's getting anyone else wet. He holds the sleeves of his jacket up, looking at people suspiciously, and quickly scampers off to the shadows. He understands he was brought here against his will. It isn't the first time, but this place is a lot more intimidating than Zeus' garden. He just wanted to find someone he knew, or better yet, return to the garden. He curls up with the jacket, feeling something in his pocket. Oh yeah, there was that weird thing that was supposed to help him talk to people. He pulls the videophone out, staring at it warily.]

Kaa?

[If only Thoth was here, he could definitely explain how to use it. He pulls out the pamphlet, which is now wet, and starts to read the instructions...until he finds it to be too much work and tears them out in frustration instead.]

Kabara! Bara!

[Stupid communication thing! He begins pressing buttons at random, digging his nails into the sides and trying to pull it apart. Maybe if he sees how it works he'll be able to make it do what he wants. Probably not.]

[Video]

[He accidentally turns on the video feed without realizing it, so now anyone watching is going to see an annoyed looking God moving the videophone around so it doesn't focus on one thing for more than a second.]

Kabara! Kaa!

[Finally, he gives up and throws the device on the ground. It wasn't doing what he wanted and he didn't see anyone familiar anyway. He huddles against the wall and doesn't move. Maybe he'll come out if most of the people go away.]

Oh, so you're from the Egyptian pantheon. [But who? Loki isn't that familiar with the Egyptian side.]

Thoth isn't here, but there are a few others. Susanoo and that human girl.

Bara. [He nods. That didn't take Loki too long to figure out. But as far as communicating which one he is, that's more complicated. Anubis doesn't think it matters too much, since no one but Thoth has known up until now.

But when Loki mentions Thoth isn't here, his mood drops entirely. He stares at the screen, frowning as if he can't fully comprehend it. Then he starts to get angry, shaking his head so adamantly that his hair ends up messy and in his face. He seems to growl a little before he yells back.]

Kaabara! Bara bara! (You're lying! It's not funny this time! Thoth has to be here, he must be!)

[Wow, wow. What changed his reaction this drastically? Thoth not being here? What kind of a relationship did these two have?]

Hey, it's not my fault he's not! This place just hasn't summoned him yet.

[How will he learn anything now? On his own??? Thoth was the only one who ever bothered to understand him, and with him gone...

He knows it's not Loki's fault. But no one else will understand him, and they're all kind of scary too. Glaring at the phone, he throws it on the ground, taking his frustrations out on the object that is connected to this place he doesn't want to be in.]

[Well that was sudden. Loki's not really sure if it's even worth trying to communicate with this guy, but... he's from where he is, so he might as well try.]

Hey... it's possible he might come here soon. You just need to wait a bit.

[He stops what he's doing, huddling over the phone and tilting his head with a cautious sort of hope.]

Kabara? (I don't want to wait. Are you waiting?)

[Somehow this time, he's able to at least guess what he's saying.]

I don't want to wait either... but I do want to see Balder and Thor, so I'm waiting too.

Kaa... [His expression softens. Not out of pity, more like empathy. He doesn't know Thor or Balder very well, but it's obvious how much they mean to Loki.]

Kabara bara ka. (I hope you see them soon, Loki!)

Wha-- why do you suddenly sound like you're comforting me? I'm fine.

[No he's not, but he'll live. He has Yui and Susanoo to bully.] If you need a place to stay, I guess you could stay either with me or Yui.

Bara. [If his expression is anything to go by, he doesn't buy it at all, Loki.]

[Aww, Loki's kind! He clasps his hands in front of him, toying with the sleeves.]

Kabara! (Thanks, Loki! Can I watch you play pranks sometime? Thoth doesn't like them, but I think they're fun to watch.)

... this definitely would be so much easier, if I understood what you're saying.

[Yeah, he completely didn't catch that. At least this guy seemed happy?]

Yui lives in Attleton and I live in Fayren. Do you think you can find your way to either?

[No, he doesn't, but Yui offered to find him and he doesn't know how to make him understand. So he just nods.]

Kabara. [He stretches and drops the communicator carelessly, curling up next to it to sunbathe.]

Uh- well, I'll see you at some point, then.

[If he wants to sunbathe, then he should. It's not like this conversation was going anywhere like this.]
