3rd Coin for the Horde [Text]

Well that was a fun scrap. Hope not all that much happened in Nova outside that. Does anyone know what polish works best on giant robot heads? I need to know for reasons.

Also while I'm asking quesitons, whats with naming planets after dirt? That's like the most common planet name I've seen or heard. Its godsdammned ridiculous, its your home planet name it something better than fething DIRT.

What is a 'planet'?

[Exalted cosmology is not like real world cosmology. Or even planescape/spelljammer cosmology. Creation is flat, and surrounded by Wyld chaos rather than space.]

I have no idea. My home world is called Remnant which while I'm not exactly sure how that came to be, at least we aren't named after sediment.

I-I didn't think earth was that bad a name. I mean I don't know who named it or why, but that's what it's been known as for as long as people have been alive.

[Just another reason why Creation sucks, along with its backstabbing its rulers syndrome and not having a super-god friendly afterlife.]

I know, its fething ridiculous, right? I mean you'd be all like "Hey friend, where you from?" "I'm from Dirt!" You'd get laughed out of the average bar in Sigil!

But its the name s'dirt. How you supposed to compare to planets with names like Archeon, Baator, and Pandemonium?

[SMOOTH ADELINE. SUPER SMOOTH]

Is it okay to ask what they are like?

Koishi was not one for texting. She was one for doing things in person. Which is why it might be a bit of a surprise to find that she had drifted in through the open window and was currently examining the "trophy" Adeline had kept from Nova City.

"Hello Miss!" She reached up, shaking the dragon's shoulder gently. "Miiissss! Can you see me? Hey! Miss!" A pause, Koishi's eyes drifting up... "Horns!" A tiny hand grasped one, not really pulling. She was still floating after all.

Archeons the 'homeworld' of the orks and most squats. Seeing as the orks love fighting and the squats hate the orks, s'always a fight going on there.

Baator's a....special place. Deals and pacts are the currency and the daemons are the bankers, ya ken?

Pandemonium....its not a nice place. Dark, loud, oppressing. Most folk steer clear of it.

Adeline was enjoying her day off post the big fight, even despite her duplex apartment trying to be extra spooky with flickering lights and noises in the walls. Adeline ignore them, having lived in worse and spookier places than this back home, and focused on polishing her trophy. She preened at it, letting the turgid stench of the polish whisp out her open window.

And thus this is how she ended up with a clinger on her horn. She turns her head and sighed before gently brushing Koishi off her horns. "Oi sprat, toldja before those are sensitive." Despite her admonishing tone, she was smiling. The weird not-daemon child was amusing, if nothing else.

Koishi perked up as the dragon turned to look at her, letting go of her horns. Compared to how the little youkai looked in battle she looked absolutely harmless right now. No claws, no sharp teeth, no blackened sclera, no tentacles... And most importantly, no terrifying aura, though her eyes were still glowing. It was probably just an aspect of her species.

"Hello miss!" She seemed to be in a good mood to. Not that this was anything new. "I saw your window open and smelled something funny so I came to see. And then I noticed your mind and so I decided to come and visit. Whatcha doing?" She reached out to poke at the robot head, leaving a single fingerprint on it. "Why do you have a robot piece?"

Adeline immediately starts rubbing the spot Koishi poked with her scrap rag. Idly, Adeline wondered what made Koishi have such a different face when she was fighting those bots. Was it some strange not!daemon thing or just her? Now that she remember, she would remind herself to look up 'satoris' or whatever.

"It's a trophy, sprat. And that smell's the polish I got for cleaning it up. I like to keep trophies from my fun fights, y'know?" She says as she gets up and puts the head onto her table. "Y'want a drink or somethin' since yer here......Koishi, right?"

Koishi drifted over, following the dragon and looking at the robot head on the shelf. Fortunately she didn't try to touch it again. "If you want to get into fun fights you should come down to old hell. The oni really love to brawl and they're really really strong. I'll come watch and cheer too if you'd like! But sis wont come. If she did there would be a riot because the oni are scared of sis."

She perks up as the drink was offered, pausing a moment, tilting her head... "I'd like some tea, please! I really like rose tea the best but any kind is also good."

Digging through her cabinets, all squeaking eerily despite how oiled she kept them, Adeline makes a thoughtful noise at Koishi's statement. Good for her that the overculture of the Great Wheel never really ended up having the same connotations for the word 'hell'. "Huh. Zat so? Sounds like a blast, where can I find it?"

In time, she sighs and shuts her doors. "Dammit, forgot I went to Nova to get my groceries and shit." She looks sheepishly over to Koishi. "Wanna bounce and go out to get some tea and cakes and shit?" she asks awkwardly.

O-Oh they are...I thought they sounded a lot nicer than they actually are.

And they sound loads better than Dirt.

Koishi nodded. "Yeah! Old hell is lots of fun. Delicious meat and great sake and fun fights. It's in my sub archway. It's in the Fayren Waterways but it's a little hard to find so I'll have to show you, okay?" She drifted over to her. "And if you don't want to fight the oni there are all manner of things to do still. The Oni go on lots of hunts to bring back more meat. They fight giant hellbeasts with entirely too many teeth. I came along once but then I sliced its mind apart and it was too easy. So I'm not allowed to go anymore."

She tilted her had as the cabinet was closed, turning her gaze back down to Adeline. She blinked. "Ohh. I forget things all the time. It's no big deal." She drifted closer. "Oh! We can go to old hell if you'd like! There's plenty to drink there! And then I can show you where it is!"

Adeline's expression grows cocky as she hears the little sprat go on and on about it. "S'that so? Sounds like my kinda place. Almost like an ork colony, soundin' like. Those are fun." She lets herself bask in her favorite memory, the time she ran roughshod over an ork colony and became the warboss of them for a while by kicking the biggest meanest mother trucker in the teeth until he gave up.

At Koishi's offer, she nods. "Sure, sounds like a blast. Just let me lock up and we'll head off, okay?" She says as she pulls out her large jangly keychain (for extra noise and security) to lock up her apartment.

Koishi's eyes lit up and she hopped forward ont o Adeline's back. "YAY!" She wasn't especially heavy it seemed, though she was probably floating some. She still had mass though and that might be an issue. She seemed to have a bit more weight and force than something her size should have... Though considering how large her tentacles were in the fight then that was probably no surprise.

"I'll show you where to go, okay? And you can meet Sis too! She's really nice! But she can read minds though, okay? But you don't have to be scared because she's nice!" If the oni really were scared of her though a little caution would probably be for the best. "Do you want me to fly you? I can carry you easily. You're not that heavy, even with the armor."

[flat world is pretty convenient for a Solar sniper with Awareness and Archery Charms standing atop Mount Meru tho kkekekekekeke]

...are you saying we're on some kind of huge ship? I don't feel like the ground is floating on anything

Well, besides Earth, there is Mercury, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto. That is at least in our solar system. You would be surprised to learn how many planets there are that are not named after dirt!

I-I guess, but we don't know which name came first. The name meaning dirt or the name of the actual planet.

Point! Still, wonder why it wouldn't be changed later.
