Episode 1: Arriving with a Yang! [Video]

The feed pops open to show the face of a rather fetching blonde girl with lilac eyes as she grins at the camera while standing next to the hologram of Weiss. "Yo Weiss! I'd rather you were here in person to get me instead of just a hologram, but I'll take what I can get here." She seems pretty optimistic despite being in a foreign world. Though having a familiar face like Weiss certainly makes it a lot easier as she's still looking around suspiciously.

"So...anyone know of a place where a girl can get a strawberry sunrise? And don't forget the umbrella."

Well Yang's got a leg up on others in knowing Weiss, but it's the latter comment she was addressing.

"A Strawberry Sunrise? Is that a drink of some kind?"

One never knows around here.

"Yup! It's a tasty one too. Though you can't forget the little paper umbrellas they give you. They're pretty cute."

Also alcoholic, but she doesn't need to say that.

"It sounds adorable. I'm not sure if where they would sell something like that though. If they're bottle drinks then maybe in a supermarket, or you could try one of Genessia or Nova City's restaurants." Lucy actually hadn't gone exploring too much in the other cities, aside from Fayren and Genessia though.

"Well...normally I'd just go to a bar for them. Do you know where the nearest bar to the...Bay was it, is?"

"Ah, that's where you are? Um... I'm not really sure where the bars are. I've avoided them myself; I can't really hold my alcohol." At least she's a happy drunk though! "Let's see... from the Bay... Oh! There should actually be one about a block away from the cafe - you can't miss it. Just head straight until you get to the cafe, and then hang a right."

Nodding, mostly to herself, Yang turned from the Bay to start walking down the street. "Is that so? Then I'll head there then." At least she was a happy drunk too. Though she was always happy ~~until you touched the hair~~.

Pausing, she fished out a set of keys from her pants before pausing short. Sighing, the blonde dropped her head as she started walking again. "...I miss Bumblebee."

Lucy hated people touching her hair too. ~~Unless it was her partner. Then she got super flustered.~~

"Bumblebee?"

Yeah... Yang's pretty protective of her hair if how she dealt with anyone who cut even a strand is any indication.

She perks up a bit at the question. "Bumblebee is my motorcycle. I rode my baby all over Vale."

It's nice hair! She couldn't blame Yang for being protective of it. Lucy would be too - though ah, she did promise someone never to cut her hair now that it was grown out longer, and since he liked it so much she intended to keep it that way. Also she spent a lot of work on growing and maintaining it. Cutting it is a no no.

"Well, maybe you could get a new er...motorcycle here?"

She'd get it trimmed every so often because having it too long could be a pain, but those trips are few and far between.

"I suppose I could...but then it'd cost a lot to get it just like my old one." Though perhaps she could get Weiss to help her fund that? She doubts it.

"Yang?"

Had she left, only to return again? She seemed to have something of a habit of doing so...

"That's my name! ...Do I know you?"

Well if she's back, she doesn't recall leaving in the first place.

Plus Yang's hair was a lot more full than Lucy's. It definitely looked like it'd be a pain if it got too long.

"Well, I don't know how much those things cost, but there are sometimes jobs in the paper that pay out pretty well. It might not take all that long to save up money for one." Pause. "Although the higher paying ones tend to be pretty dangerous." She didn't know if Yang was a fighter or what.

It was still kind of a pain now, especially after a shower to dry it out, but it was her hair and she'll take the time to make sure it's nice.

She does grin at the mention of dangerous jobs. "Dangerous jobs is my thing. I'm a huntress-in-training after all. A little blood and sweat won't bother me." She waves one hand at the camera before what was a simple gold bracelet around her wrist extends out into a large golden gauntlet that covered her hand. A fighter indeed this one.

"Huntress?" She grinned at the demonstration of the bracelet becoming a gauntlet, "Wow! That's pretty cool. My partner and I do the same thing -" She ... just isn't going to mention the thing with the guild since she refuses to acknowledge that fake building. The last job we went on, we got a pretty good amount of money eliminating a bunch of crabs infesting the docks. We even got to take home a lot of crab meat from it. Too much you might even say."

"You do. Or you did."

Which wasn't very helpful, but he barely understood how someone could leave and come back without any memories of this place. That wasn't enough to explain it.

"Yup. We're the ones who protect our world from the monsters of Grimm. Fight evil, protect the people, the usual shebang." The gauntlet easily returns back to its old form around her wrist, leaving her looking unarmed again. Pretty good way to look like she's harmless when she's not. "Huh....crabs on a dock huh? Must have left the dockworkers feeling quite crabby."

"I do...not really know you sorry." She says after a few moments of trying to figure out if she recalls mister dark-haired and scarred. "Mind filling me in, buddy?"

Don't try looking to her about it. Even if she did remember, which she doesn't, trying to figure out something like that was beyond her.

Well she certainly thinks that gauntlet is cool. Actually... "Hee, that sounds familiar." Light guilds did that too, after all. "That gauntlet you have there - was that something that's custom made? I've been wanting to have something similar made for my friend, but it'd have to be something that can withstand fire as hot as...well, volcanic I suppose... or at least fire-proof." Not that there's any way of telling Yang's was something that durable, but if she knew what kind of material it was made of she could at least ask around about it.

And she grimaces at the pun, giggling, "That's awful." Still laughed though!

"Does it? Are you from Remnant too?" Though then again, if she's taken, certainly other worlds' people have been kidnapped too. "...As far as I know it's custom made. If Ruby was here, she'd be the one to talk to about making a weapon for your friend. She made her sniper-scythe." A beat. "Ruby's my sister just so you know. A good girl, you should try being friends with her if she ever ends up here."

Maybe she's already here now that she thinks on it. Weiss is here after all.

She smirks as the girl laughs. "Still got you to laugh."

"Well at least you got the message."

That's good that she doesn't have to explain anything like that. "Stay where you are, I'll come get you." Weiss seems like she's a little exasperated with this. It's not Yang's fault though. Frankly, she's tired of going through this over and over again with people she knows, but at least this time she.. has an idea that might at least spice it up.

Neptune did teach her how to drive, after all. It can't be that different, and she knows for a fact that Yang will feel better about being plopped into a strange land if there's a motorcycle involved.

Unfortunately, the motorcycle.. never actually makes it to Yang. In fact, Weiss switched the video to audio after she said she would come get her, so in a minute or so, Yang would be able to hear five consecutive things:

Sorry about your wheels, Yang. You.. might want to get those fixed at some point.

"Hey, Weiss! Nice to see you're actually here." And not like... just some weird hologram left behind or something. She does have to wonder why Weiss seems so stressed out. Maybe she caught her at a bad time?

She does quirk an eyebrow at the sounds coming from her communicator, time spent on her beloved bike easily letting her know Weiss just tried something with a bike. She should at least show her concern over the matter as it sounds pretty bad.

"Weiss...is the bike okay?"

A distinctive "Hey!" can be heard after Yang asks if the bike is okay. Give her a minute to get out of the water before her device gets fried.

"Well... I was going to pick you up, but as it turns out, driving a car is nothing like driving a motorcycle."

Mostly she didn't expect it to accelerate so quickly. The rest she didn't even get to finding out about. Though Yang might find it suspect that Weiss even knows how to drive a car based on that statement... Somewhere in the distance, a tiny little yapping can be heard from Weiss's window.

Grinning sheepishly, the blonde lets out a little chuckle. "Well I figured you'd be fine if you crashed so soon. Your aura would absorb most of the damage."

She does have to sigh and shake her head at the second thing to come out of Weiss' mouth. "Why would you think driving a car is like driving a motorcycle? They're two separate beasts. That's like saying owning a dog is like owning a cat."

Speaking of animals, she does tilt her head at the faint yapping. "...Did Zwei end up here as well or something? Or do you have a neighbor with a dog?"

"It is with Blake's kittens," Weiss grumbled before she could stop herself. The needy little baby cats were more attention-seeking and much louder than she thought Frost, her dog, ever was. Weiss got an earful for bringing home a dog, but somehow Blake bringing home a miniature herd of kittens was acceptable. Needless to say, the bitter tone was obvious.

"That's Frost. He's my dog. I've.. been here much longer than you have, Yang. Quick summary: I have a dog, a house, have established Schnee Company in multiple cities, a boyfriend who I'm actually thinking of asking to move in and if you, Blake, and Ruby don't agree I'm considering moving out if he says yes, time is stopped back home, and this is the third version of you that's been here so I'm a little tired of going over this to you."

She may have gotten her cranky levels up after crashing a motorcycle, honestly.

"As for the motorcycle, Neptune taught me how to drive when he was here and I figured you'd want to have something comforting. I'll get it fixed, I already texted my assistant."
