[Video] An Open Invitation (Backdated 6/26)
WHO: Satori and YOU
WHAT: A public video
WHEN: 6/26 about 2 hours after the first monster report
WARNINGS: None
[The video feed displays Satori, once again seated in her now-familiar sitting room she'd used in previous video conferencing. Satori seems somewhat ill at ease, and it's a little hard to spot, but delivers this speech with the remarkable stoicism she tended to most commonly express.]
"This message is intended for all affected by the recent crisis. I've heard the news that Everglade has been waylaid my mysterious beings, and an anomalous tear in empty space has appeared. Little is known about the unusual creature sightings that have been circulating, for the time being. However, the situation is clearly a grave one that deserves urgent attention. In my world of origin, one would call such a troubling occurrence an 'incident'."
"As a recent Guardian elect, it is my duty to protect others from danger, that much I know. And while these creatures seem to be attacking only these areas in particular, I will attempt to gather information about the threat while I'm able to do so. Until the cause of this incident has been discovered and this distortion eventually halted, I will assist my fellow Guardians where ever possible."
[She tents her fingers as she continues, still looking quite serious about the matter, and perhaps a little determined to see this through.]
"Of course, Fayren is unharmed, but Fayren remains on guard, in case the worst is to happen. And I will not stand idly by while those in the other cities are endangered in such a way. In other words, I offer asylum to anyone in either of the two affected cities who have been driven from their homes, or has otherwise decided to leave for this incident's duration. There is more than enough space in my home of Chireiden to accommodate and shelter you. Needless to say, as well, but I will ensure the waterways leading to Chireiden's archway will be free of any threats or roaming beasts. While this video might not show the palace's enormity, there are many, many areas of it that go relatively unused by my sister and I. Be warned, should you choose to stay here: my home is filled with a small legion of various animals which we keep as pets, so it may become an issue for those of you uncomfortable around animals. I should hope they'll warm up to their new guests in due time, in any case."
[Her third eye shifts a little as she organizes her thoughts. After a moment, she moves the camera to a nearby window overlooking the surroundings of Chireiden, allowing viewers to get a grasp of its scope. She quickly moves it back, having made her point.]
"It is my hope that these troubles will come to a quicker end, and that all of you may, more or less, return to your former lives, uninterrupted. I urge you as soon as possible to notify me in advance if you've chosen to travel to Fayren, and arrangements will be made to lodge you. The location of our archway will be offered to any who ask. Be sure only to bring what you absolutely require, and travel lightly. What matters the most are your lives and safety, at this point."

[Mewtwo has been manning the defense of the Fayren gate with Blastoise, Venusaur, and Charizard surrounding him, several crates of his freshest Sitrus Berry crop nearby for anyone coming through the gate wounded. When he hears about the offer to open Chireiden to refugees, however, his distrustful nature surfaces again as he makes a call to Satori.]
Are you sure this is wise? I was under the impression that Chireiden was a sort of sanctuary for yourself and your sister away from humans. Do you really wish to open that sanctuary to any who would seek entrance?
Re: [Video]
She stated, flatly, but rather pointedly. "If these actions are at the expense of myself, even if this seems to against my nature, so be it. My sister's out in the field, and may be in danger, and I'd be unable to forgive myself if I wasn't doing my part in her stead." More resolutely, she asserted herself to her fellow psychic. "My duties as a Guardian are first and foremost. To do nothing would only give others more reason to discredit me. Besides..." she continued, her third eye relaxing some, "...It isn't as if this won't be mentally taxing. Seeing as Koishi isn't here to shield my mind, I should hope my Murkrow will lessen the psychic strain on me, until the crisis passes." She sighed, deeply, idly petting her clearly worried third eye... "Only time will tell, but I must ensure there's still a home to which she can return."
Mewtwo nods, turning his attention back to keeping the gate secure against the spirits should any attempt to break through and seeing to any seeking refuge from Genessia. Homes were a... unique subject for Mewtwo. At one time, he thought it was something to isolate him from the rest of the world, but in time he had grown to understand them as something more communal.
"I see. Though that does beg the question, just where is Koishi? I am surprised that she is not with you."
Re: [Video]
"As I've said, she's gone into the thick of things in order to help others escape. While I dislike the idea of my sister going alone and risking herself like this, she stands a chance to find out what's going on, in that place." Her third eye looked rather perturbed, as did her face, and for once, both expressions matched up. "...I'm hoping that she keeps me informed and returns safely. That is really all that can be done, at the moment."
Mewtwo had hoped for a more... concrete location for Koishi's whereabouts. The power that girl held and how starkly different she was from her sister made him worry about her ability to control that power. Especially given the situation. He ponders for a moment before his eyes glow, issuing silent commands to his comrades who all nod in understanding before he turns his attention back to Satori.
"I mean no disrespect to you or your sister, however... something tells me things would be better for all involved if someone kept an eye on her. Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise can see to the needs of refugees for the most part, and will see to the gate's defense. Perhaps I should go to check on Koishi..."

"My sister's dealing with matters on her own, so I'm not sure how helpful it would be, but try to get into contact with her. My only proof is their lack of amulets and...the way they feel, mentally. Their minds are straightforward. Or...more straightforward than most sentients." Seeing as that wouldn't make sense to a non-psychic, she continued her explanation... "You've dealt with them for some time: do you notice that it's almost as if they were programmed to be /like/ humans, rather than having minds of their own?"

"Erm, well. I mean. Sure they're a bit common, but they wouldn't be commoners otherwise." Ted wasn't fond of the thought that the people to who'd he gone through so much trouble, and for whom he'd roped in others to share in said trouble, didn't "count". "I um, try not to judge the extent of one's humanity. Especially here. You're very sure the cause of their natures can be accounted for by unreality? I mean, I imagine anyone would ring a little odd if they've been in Genessia from the start."
Sheepishly, he added, "Then again, none of the spirits seemed to be very interested in them, really. I wish I could say the same. I had just assumed all the battle going on was keeping our enemies occupied."
[Video] Backdated to 6/28 (day 3 of the event)
As such, when he turns on the video feed he looks fairly awful. Pale and tired, no hat to be seen, the remainder of a bloody thumbprint on his cheek.]
M-Miss Satori! Miss S-Satori--
[He's relieved that she seems to be okay. That she's at least on the video feed. And if she's this calm and collected then Koishi too, right?]
You're okay? I-is Fayren still okay? Is K-Koishi s-still okay?
[Stuck in Nova City with nothing to do but stay in bed and be told to stay out of trouble, Luke has made great use of his time and worried himself into a tizz.]
*idly retrieves eaten post*
"...Triton, I must ask you to calm down." She sighed, wiping her brow for a moment, as if that would speed her thoughts any. "Fayren's certainly fine, at least, for the time being. I believe my plan may be working as intended, to relieve the displaced from danger. And Koishi...I haven't heard much of her, though I suspect she can handle this on her own. The most I should hope for is that she'll notify me if she discovers anything about the situation." She admitted, exhaling out some of her stress, her third eye looking nervously about, in the call... "I know very well that Koishi's able to brave these things a little easier. Not to mention, avoid them easier. But, to be frank, I'd rather she'd return as soon as possible. As much as I've tried to keep myself from being idle, I dislike the fact that there's nothing I can do, at least in her case." Her third eye quickly tried to hide these worries from sight. "As the elder sister, it's my lot to fret about her, after all."
*claws self out of inbox*
It's a good thing Luke is cute, because his anxiety is likely wearing the nurses' patience thin.
He leans back from the screen, the small frown on his face darkening. He's gotten himself so thoroughly worked up that he's shaking, little tears on his face.
"She'll b-be ok-kay. And you t-too," he adds weakly. "It's g-gonna be okay. It h-has to b-be, right?"
Normally Luke is more confident, even as he gives up on holding his head up for the camera and presses his forehead down against the bed. The completely disheveled display is indicative of both how worried he is as well as how hurt he'd been. His voice is very muffled by the pillow when he speaks again, but loud enough to be heard just the same. "'M s-sorry, Miss S-Satori. It's j...it's just r-really..." He hiccups, a sniffle audible even with his face not visible. "It's scary, and I don't know what else to d-do. I'm...I'm sorry."
