Greetings citizens of Genessia, as you should already be well aware I am the brilliant scientist Dr.Albert Wily.

With the sudden attack the other day I think it's in your best interest to prepare for another, now you're probably asking yourself "But Dr.Wily, how can we possibly prepare for something like that?" The answer is simple; Accept me as the Guardian of Nova City. One of my creations was on the scene the moment the attack broke out, if I had the resources I could have a dozen more just like him made and on the scene by the end of next month.

I'll give you some time to think it over, but don't take too long, who knows when something like that could happen again.

[There's a brief sigh, then Wily switches the conversation to private. She isn't the only one who can play the serious card.]

I've heard what they say about me, some of it stings, some of it does ring true.

The reality is that what I've done in the past is there and I have to live with that. I also have to look out for the future.

[Wily must be a good actor. Sofie's said things about him - that he's a megalomaniac. But for a moment Amelia believes that he's gotten a good, firm slap on the face when it comes to the reality of the situation. And she's had the finger pointed at her before too, cast out for her skills and the way she thought. Fortunately for Wily, this all works in his favour.]

There's work to be done. Maybe... hm...

Of course I'm right. Speaking of work needing to be done, I believe I left you with a job, didn't I? How's that coming along?

[If he's going to start mass producing robots, he could always use a grunt to speed things up again. He might need to get some leverage to use against her once she finds out his goals aren't all sunshine and rainbows, but he can worry about that later.]

[Amelia's already found out how to vote for this guy, and she's done it. Taking a deep breath, she nods affirmatively. Wily's robots were a good choice - she just knew it.]

There were a lot of distractions, but I finally managed to repair it's core after I was able to get back into my house after the attack... It's actually working pretty well! But it uh...

[Wily, explain.]

... It kinda shot lasers at me at first.

[Ooooooh. You want an excuse, he can do that.]

Hmmmm... Your repairs to the core may not have been perfect, that could have caused a power surge that scrambled it's programming momentarily.

It stopped, correct?

[Oh and let him slide over toward his computer to check and see if the tracker on that Met came back online.

It did... after I disabled it again and rooted through it to remove its weaponry so that I could turn it on without getting blasted. After that I tried to alter it just a little so that it wouldn't attack me. [You'd be surprised how hard it is to reprogram a function chip without the proper computer!] Seemed it was programmed to see people as hostile... Was that intentional? Is it some kind of security robot?

It was an all purpose utility machine, naturally I gave the ability defend itself just in case. It's programming must have been scrambled when it was damaged.

...At least you fixed it.
