[Sofia has done this dance before - arrive at a different world with it's own rules she has to obey unless she wants this world invaded by the enemies of her employers. She observed the necklace with curious eyes, even pulling out her own translucent smartphone to compare them for a second while she was walking, not even bothering to see where she was going and talking under her breath again]

Find a place, get a job. Sounds simple enough. Tedious, but simple... 

[Sofia rubbed the back of her neck and releases a frustrated sigh]

...Gah, feels like too much work. I'll do that later.

[While finding shelter and a livelihood is more important, her top priority right now is tea. She's less of a slacker once she had some of Oolong tea in her system]

Two different worlds before being dragged here and all of them had awful tea. [A sharp cringe] Should I go three-for-three?

[Sofia was just appreciating the view of the city while following Ruby. She looked at the Tupelo building and lets out a neutral "Hm". Living in a fancy penthouse in New York city made her take other apartments for granted, even though she's really just borrowing the apartment from her boss]

It's nice.

[Way to be lame Sofia! She should be at least a hundred times more excited than that.]

[And Ruby will take Sofia's hand and continue to lead her on into the apartment building.]

[Sofia didn't expect Ruby to take her hand and lead her into the apartment. It's kind of nice. It reminds her of herself back when she was at Ruby's age, just minus the 80's Goth hair. She would have cringed at the embarrassment of the flashbacks of her teen idol phase until she saw the apartment building inside.

While she is unimpressed all the time, Sofia's jaw dropped a little at the sight. Classy and elegant. That's her kind of thing. She looked around in awe]

Wow... It's much better looking indoors.

[Her being a couch potato who stays indoors for weeks might have something to do with her preferring the interior design than the exterior]

[Sofia smiled warmly at the way Ruby just cheerfully guides her inside the Tupelo building. She wasn't complaining for once]

We could start at the top and work our way down.

Sounds like a plan.

[She'll press the button and down the elevator comes. Once they get in she'll hit the top floor and up they go.

She'll fidget a little as they go up, she's not exactly a patient person.]

[Sofia noticed how Ruby is fidgety while they waited in the elevator. With grabbing her hand earlier and now this, Sofia couldn't help but feel the contagious energy that just oozes from this young lady]

So, do you have friends from your world in here with you?

Friends from my world? Uhmm, well yeah. Just one thought at the moment.

My friend Jaune ended up here too, he woke up a little while after I did. He's living on the same floor as I am.

[Sofia made a mental note of that name. She might have to see who this boy is sometime soon]

That's good. It's no wonder you're taking this new world thing rather well. Especially for your age.

Yeah... It was a huge load off my chest when I found out I wasn't the only one here.

Don't get me wrong I'm still kind of freaked out about this whole thing. I'm missing school and my friends are probably worried sick about me... But it' nice to know I'm not the only one here.

[Sofia puts her arm around Ruby's shoulder and give her a reassuring pat]

Well, don't. I can assure if you go back to your world, it would be in the exact same second you were in when you left. As if nothing happened.

[She looked down at Ruby and gives her a friendly smile]

Come on. It looks like I'll just be staying here. I can just move to someplace better if I find a job.

[She smiles a little at the shoulder pat, but she's kind of confused at Sofia's comment.]

That'd be great, but how do you know it's going to work like that?

[Still the thought that it could happen was a little reassuring.]

It's part of my job. Traveling worlds and all that fun stuff... I'm just on vacation right now.

Really? Then do you know how to get back? Because that would be really handy right about now.

I know how to get back, but I can't take anyone with me or take you home. You'll need some kind of passport to be allowed through the Nexus and get a ride back to your world.

And I'm guessing I can't just go and pick one of those up, can I?

Bingo.

[Sofia shrugged. It sucks being stuck in a world you're not supposed to be in, but it's part of the multiverse's crazy nature]

[There's a bit of a sigh.]

[Sofia made a quick glance downwards before look to Ruby again]

I know it can be difficult or irritating to suddenly wake up in a different world. But no matter what happens here, you'll be fine when you get home. I will have your back if things go bad.

[Not a promising thought, but it's reality. No place is without it's evil. But Ruby has earned her respect enough for her to help the young lady when the need arises]

Right, yeah it is kind of a pain in the butt I guess...

That would be nice, but can you fight? I notice you have a folded weapon on your back from the looks of it. What is that, exactly?
