[It's a wonder that Pascal hasn't been kicked out of the diner yet, because she's been redecorating a corner of it for 20 minutes. She feels pretty ok with the waitress giving her the stink-eye though. Management's loved her ever since she upgraded their bar robot to a robot bartender complete with wheels and an AI that dispensed pseudo-therapy with its whiskey, so she can basically get away with anything.

Good thing, because Pascal's aesthetic is silly string, confetti, and party hats. She's not the type to do things halfway, and this is a momentous occasion! Her best friend in Genessia is finally going to meet her Little Bro from home! They'll get along, of course, because they're both too cool not to. Unless, you know, Hubert does that grouchy thing or Pidonus gets too protective or whatever, but eh.... it'll be fine.

She's practically vibrating with excitement as she waits by the door, and whoever arrives first is going to get a face full of very loud noisemaker. After she runs out of air, she finally steps back and takes a breath.]

Welcome! C'mon, I've got a corner booth for us over here!

I'd... Meant to talk with you on that after the incident in the Bay, honestly.

And getting away was definitely for the best, yeah.

[But then, she's distracted by the sudden topic change to party hats.]

[Hubert nods to Pidonus, but can sense she doesn't want to go further with her explanations. And, given he's learned his lesson about being completely skeptical about people, he's going to let it slide. For now. But he will investigate further on his own, as he is concerned about whom Pascal is hanging around with]

[And with a farcical sigh, he relents to accepting the party hat and starts putting it on]

Actually, in my time, you were calling me "Hu." It wasn't nearly as irritating as "Little Bro," though I can't fathom why you can't simply use my name.

[Once the party hat is on, he grins]

Is this acceptable?

Cause 'Hubert' sounds like a 40 year old man with one of those frilly neckties and a monocle who waddles around drinking super-pricey booze and pretending to read boring old books.

[Telling it like it is! Or like it sounds in her head. Whatever.

Her eyes light up when he grins.]

Awww yeah, that's perfect Li-- [Nope.] Hu! Now hold on just a sec...

[Think fast Hubert, she's going for the camera.]

[Pidonus just blinks. Though Hubert does sound like an older name than, well, this fellow is.

For the moment, she's going to avoid moving until Pascal's made her move, more than a bit confused by her going for the camera.]

[Hubert rolls his eyes but if she wants his picture, so be it. He gives her barely a smile as he waits for the photo to be taken]

[It'll do! She snaps a picture and turns on Pidonus to get a picture of her too, whether or not she's prepared for it.]

Ok, great!

[With the photographic evidence out of the way, she tries to flag down the surly waitress.]

Can you bring us some coffee? Or... [She glances at her two friends.] Whatever else you guys want? Oh, and a slice of banana pie for me.

[Pidonus is surprised by the picture, but stops and just sort of shrugs.]

Er, just coffee's good for me.

[Something about Hubert leaves her a spot uneasy for the moment... Hopefully that's just a one-time thing.]

Tea, please.

[Hubert sighs]

It seems that is all you ever eat, Pascal.
