[The lid to the pod slowly unseals...then cracks off of its hinges, kicked off by a jutting boot from within the cocoon. The lid flips through the air, crashing off of the ceiling and rebounding into the water with a noisy clanging splash. The boot, attached to a strong and shapely leg, goes back down, and the curvy blonde inside of the pod sits up. She yawns. With a few blinks, she smiles, and looks down at the box. She gives it a cursory examination along with its contents, but doesn't bother doing more than skimming the pamphlet before she hoists herself out of the pod. Both boots hit the shallow water, splashing her legs as she strides for the exit. She can read the brochures later; she'd rather get a look at where she is with her own eyes.]

[Genessia seems to be consumed in a cold but gentle rain. Yang peeks out, holding out her hand to feel the drops on her fingers. Crummy weather! She looks at her box.]

Well...better than nothing, I guess!

[Holding the box over her head as a makeshift umbrella, she dashes off to the left. It feels like it's been years since she stretched her legs, and she's eager for the exploration and exercise. She's also eager to find someplace warm and dry.]

[Some time later, Yang's grinning face appears on the screen. Her wild mass of thick blonde hair, wet from the rain, is being rubbed idly with a towel.]

I'm guessing none of you guys would know how to get to Vale from here.

[Yeah, she knows she's not going anywhere anytime soon.]

So tell me.

[She drops the towel in her lap and fluffs out her hair, then settles her chin into her hand, grinning.]

What does a girl do for fun around here?

[Jaune is trying to get used to his new place, which is weird for him. He hadn't expected to live alone for a while.

He hadn't picked up actual groceries yet though, and had been living off of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Hearing a broadcast on his little phone, he picked it up.]

Hey I know them. That's Yang! Ah~ My fellow blond has followed me even here~ [His swooning probably isn't serious. Maybe. Hopefully. In any case, he dials her.]

Jaune! This is a surprise.

[It's totally not a surprise, since Ruby already told her, but eh! She beams, folding her arms onto the table and leaning forward to grin into her communicator.]

How are you holding up? Been here long?

Oh I've been holding up just fiiiine, and no I got here the same day Ruby did - you do know Ruby's here, right?

[And then he dropped his sandwich.] Ah, jeez. :x uh... [Annnnd then he picked it up, studied it, blew on it, and then started eating again.] And what about you, my golden idol? Did you just get out of your pod?

[Golden IDOL? ...Yang squints at him with half suffering, and half bemusement.]

Yeah, we had a little chit chat before you called. Looks like she and I are gonna be roomies!

...You're not seriously going to eat that after it fell on the floor, are you?

Huh? [Oh, right, she can see him. Still it takes him a moment to catch on before he simply hid the sandwich behind his back.] No! No, that's gross. Heh...

Well, she was going to be roomies with me but she told me that... [Wait a second, he was told they couldn't be roomies. Now he wanted to know why.] ... Well, she's better off with her sister anyway. [He smiles and laughs it off.]

[Yang tips her head back and to the side, gesturing vaguely. Well, whatever. If he wants to eat it, that's his business.]

Ohhhh, so you wanted to room with my little sister, hey?

... Because the garbage can is over here! [Right, he could also WALK with the phone. He continues talking while he disposes of the floor sandwich.]

Wait, what? No! I mean, we were going to, because we weren't sure that anyone else was coming! So we were gonna stick together. Because we're, you know, friends? I do have friends ya know. :|

... She's fifteen for crying out loud!

[Yes, begone filthy sandwich of the pit.]

Two years isn't that big a difference. I dated plenty of older boys when I was her age.

Anyway, you aren't living too far away, are you? Now you'll just have more friends to hang out with.

Yeah, anyway... She and I live in the same building at least. On the same floor even! I'm a little down the hall. No room mate or anything though, just me - so... yeah! It'll be great to have more friends closer to me.

[He's trying, at least, and Yang can respect that.]

Well, since you lost your lunch, why don't we pick something up for you and bring it over later? Call it a housewarming gift.

[Jaune looked... surprised.] You'd do that? Really? [Yang - a pretty girl - was being nice to him. Before he came to Beacon that was never a good thing.]

[He broke into a smile.] That... would... be... aw~some!

[Well...if she were REALLY nice, she'd invite him to come eat lunch with everyone, but she kind of wants some girl time with her teammates. They can hang out with Jaune later, especially since Ruby wants to bring him along on their shopping trip.]

We're going to be out in the rain anyway, so why not? What are you in the mood for? How about a nice hamburger?

[He grins wide. Jaune didn't even know Blake was there. Still, he spent so little time with most of Ruby's friends that it made sense he didn't spend too much time with them now. He had always been spending time with his team-- Oh, right... his team wasn't here now.]

A hamburger sounds great. Don't spend too much money on me! I'll pay you back!

[That earns a genuine chuckle from Yang. He might be kind of a dork, but he's also incredibly sweet. It's a cute combination, and she approves.]

Well, if you insist!

[She won't say no, as she's planning to save up for a motorbike. Can't hurt to plan for the future if they can't find a way to leave the city!]

So have you met anyone new here yet?

[He had to think for a second.] Well I met this guy, Harry. Buuut I don't think he likes me. Let's see, then there was Ruby, yeah and then... Oh! I met a girl named Raye, sorta. We only talked on the phone. She was kinda cute! Nobody else, yet, but I haven't even got set up with a job yet.

[Jaune grinned, though it was a nervous sort of grin. Not everyone had the head-strong confidence of Yang.] Here's hoping we're not stuck here long at least. I gotta get back to Pyrrha and the others.

[He kind of scrunched his brow and rubbed the back of his head.] I... guess. It doesn't seem like there's much need for Hunters around here. I haven't heard anything about monsters.

[She'd tell him about the monsters prowling the forests in Fayren...if she knew they existed. She hasn't had a chance to go over the travel brochures just yet, though.]

Depends on what's needed! If I can buy a motorcycle, I could probably taxi people around town and make deliveries.

[Or, as she told Ruby, she might see if she can sign up as a male modeling agent. Yessssssss.]

If I get bored I can switch to something else. Getting a job doesn't seem all that hard here.
