[Action/Video] New Arrival at the Bay - OTA
[Action]
[Despite the pod opening to reveal a high school junior, he was still fast asleep and doesn't seem willing to get up.
Eventually, he does begin to stir in groggy protests and sits up in the pod, rubbing his eyes.]
"Ugh... Man... What happened?"
[He struggles to try to remember. He steadily begins to remember faces, a tower and darkness.]
"...Oh, right. We were exploring Tartarus, and..."
[Junpei took his hands off his face and finally notices his surroundings. Seeing a creepy cave littered with pods standing in water made him feel like he was in some alien movie. On top of that, he realizes he can't see any of his friends around. He begins to get nervous.]
"Wha... What the hell is this?!" [He tries to get out of the pod he was in, only to trip and fall into the water with a hearty splash.]
Flailing a moment to get back up, he grabbed the pod and pulled himself back up, spitting out water in the process. Looking into the pod, he finds the equipment he brought with him, a katana and the gun-shaped Evoker. Junpei takes them and straps them on. If this was another floor of Tartarus, surely there will be shadows and the last thing he wants is to get caught with his pants down, even if he was confident enough to take them all out on his own.
Furthermore, he finds something else in the pod, a simple box. Junpei picks it up and examines it a moment before turning around to look around the area he was in.]
"... Heeey!! Yuka-tan!! Mitsuru-senpai!! Akihiko-senpai!! Where are ya guys?!"
[Would that attract shadows? Probably. Junpei didn't care. He and Hermes can take them out. But, no reply. He waited a bit longer, listening carefully. Still nothing. He looks to the box in his hands and lifts the lid. He ignored most of the stuff he found inside, except for a necklace and a device. He didn't even hesitate to put the necklace on, grinning like the lucky guy that he was for finding such a sweet chain that would surely bring all the girls to his arms. He then turns his attention the device, holding it in one hand as he thumbed around with the buttons while he made his way towards the nearest exit, not realizing he just turned it on.]
[The network feed came alive to a teenaged boy, looking as though he's really putting in the brain power to figure out the communicator, talking to himself.]
"Just how do you work this thing? It has a screen, but it's not a TV and it's not a phone... So what is it for?"

Don't take him just because of his appearance - he's a vampire. The last time I saw him he was attacking one of the spirits here, putting Everglade and the rest of the city at risk when it was already in danger of falling. Though his tactics were pretty cowardly when Natsu and I fought him - he just kept calling on minions and fighting from afar, or trying to backstab. There are a lot of people here - even ones that look like children - that you'd think weren't a threat, and they'd prove you wrong.
Huh?
[ Frownie face? Lucy glanced up as Junpei gestured to Natsu, smiling. ]
Oh! That's him - Natsu! [ She got to her feet, holding a hand out to help Junpei up as well. ]
[Action]
Hey Lucy. You wanted me to come over so got here as fast as I could.
[He looks back to Junpei afterwards.]
So what did you need me for?
[Action]
"'Sup dude. I'm Junpei."
[He's just trying to be friendly. His grin was friendly enough, right?]
"Lucy says you can help me dry off. I, uh, took a little dive in the water back here by accident. Can ya help me out?"
[Action]
Glad you did. [ Lucy grinned, about to explain what she wanted him to do, when Junpei summed it up perfectly himself. Ahahaha. Glancing at Junpei, she motioned at her friend. ]
Just don't freak out. Natsu's the best when it comes to stuff like this.
Re: [Action]
[Friendly guy so he has that going for him at least. His summons do make sense once they both explain it to Natsu who nods in understanding before crossing his arms over his chest. After a couple of seconds his whole body catches fire, a strong heat radiating from the blaze around him.]
[Action]
[And freaked out he did. Well, it was more of a startled reaction as he backed off a few paces the moment Natsu went ablaze.]
"THE HELL?! You can set yourself on fire?!"
[Junpei wasn't afraid of the fire itself thanks to his Persona. While shadows have targeted him with fiery skills before, he never wanted to see what happens if he was set on fire, either in or out of Tartarus. Yes, it was the fact that someone just burst into flames right in front of him is what freaked Junpei out.
Junpei couldn't help but wonder if either one or both of these people were Persona users. But he wasn't going to ask outright. As such, he had no idea how or what to ask.
But at least his school uniform was getting dry, so he has that going for him.]
[Action]
That's not even the weirdest thing he can do.
[ Weird. She is of course, teasing her partner, glancing over at Natsu as his flames start to dry Junpei off. ]
But seriously, I knew he was nearby, and it was the fastest way to get you dry. [ She should have warned him, but it was funnier this way. ]
[Action]
[He says as if it's the most obvious and natural thing in the world. Which it really is. But only for him and those who know him. Either way the flames are strong and show no sign of even flickering out all throughout the whole drying stage.]
How the heck did you end up soaked anyway?
[Action]
[Junpei already said why, all though mostly jokingly. He only did so to give him an excuse to chat up Lucy, so he had no real reason to joke about it again.]
"When I 'woke up,' I... Kinda slipped and fell into the water."
[Kinda, as in he panicked and slipped, falling into the water.]
[Action]
Oh good, it doesn't look like your stuff got wet. There's money in here; Red Bills is this world's currency. It'll be enough for you to rent an apartment for at least a month, but you'll have to find a job after that. It can get expensive for some people but I think it might be cheaper here in Genessia than in Nova City or Attleton, at least. Well, depending on where you go, of course.
[Action]
You'll want to avoid Everglade. That place would eat you alive.
[Action]
right at her chestand really did not look forward to what she was explaining.]"I really don't know anything about Genessia, Nova or Attleton. Which one has the most convenient stores? What about a Wuck or Hagakure or a beef bowl shop?"
[While he asked, though, Junpei started feeling a little crispy and glanced over at Natsu.]
"You can stop now. Thanks, dude." [He then went back to his questions and get them out of the way.] "And what exactly is the deal with this Vlad guy and Everglade?"
[Action]
"And what exactly is the deal with this Vlad guy and Everglade?"
[ Hey, eyes up, Junpei! Shame! ]
Hmm... Genessia will probably be the best option for you - although I don't think most of those places are here. You can probably get some equivalent though - I know there's a place that makes beef bowls around here. Somewhere.
[ She glanced at Natsu for a moment or two, then back to Junpei. ]
You mean other than him being a creeper from day one? I'm sure he'll play the victim card, but not too long ago Genessia and Everglade both were in danger from some kind of creatues outside of Genessia's barrier. While everyone else was trying to fight to protect the cities, HE was attacking Everglade's spirit while it was protecting Everglade.
Natsu and I were asked to rescue Everglade's spirit by Genessia's spirit. We were able to run him off, thankfully. But he takes up residence apparently, in some old castle in Everglade. I wouldn't count on the 'Guardian' in Everglade being very helpful either.
[ It took him what, almost a month to even think about bringing "justice" to Vlad? ]
[Action]
He also stinks of death. Ugh his scent gave him away the moment we woke up here.
[He still remembers that day and how much he regrets not socking his lights out. That might be the last burst of heat that finishes drying off Junpei's clothes. But once he gives the signal, Natsu's flames go out as abruptly as they had burst around his body.]
