[Action/Video] - Waking up

[Light gleams from an open window blinding the young princess who is soon to stir awake. A hand moves to her eyes to shield her gaze from the harsh sun but it only allows for some relief. Her lips part as a soft mumble falls into the air. Her muscles slowly stretching out as a light yelp sounds next to her ear. Sakura’s eyes open and slowly the room focuses, soft beams of light forming objects as well as a cute little growlithe who waited patiently at her side.]

[When she’s ready she reaches for her phone, the small device looking rather insignificant in her palm. She feels stronger now but she knows that the price is a heavy one. She inhales a deep breath before flicking the device on.]

Excuse me. I wanted to thank those who helped free me recently. If there is anything I can do to say thank you, please let me know.

I’m sorry for the trouble.

[After a short pause she continues.]

If you want... anyone can come to the Cat’s Eye Café in three days. I’m going to try and make cakes for everyone so please come by.

[She’ll also have to make sure that it’s okay if she pays Fai back for the cakes.]

[She will be at the café with a smile and a lot of cakes. There is one meat pie which adds a slight savory smell to the otherwise sugary aroma of the shop but it’s been set aside for someone in particular. She’s wearing a cute uniform that Fai had made for her with a wide smile spread across her lips. It’s something small but she wants to say thank you to those who had helped her.

With a warm smile Sakura turns towards the front door.]

[It’s a cute little café and of course anyone is welcome to order off the menu. Sakura is going to make sure to visit with everyone.]

[Ever since he arrived, Mokona has spent a lot of time with the sleeping Sakura. Even though he doesn't quite understand how both Fai and Sakura are from so back in time. Here is the princess they've been searching for but it's not quite right.

At the moment, he'd been sleeping on Sakura's pillow near her head like he used to whenever she fell asleep like this but one of his long ears twitches at the soft sounds. The growlithe's yip has him stirring fully. Mokona is quick to wake at that and gets up to see the princess' eyes open.]

Sakura-chan! You're awake! [Hope she's ready because Mokona hug incoming!]

Mokona?

[Her eyes widen at the familiar cute ball of fluff. She hasn't seen him since she arrived and the sight of an old friend immediately brought a smile to her lips. She opens her arms as he comes bounding towards her. She's a little tired but she can withstand a Mokona hug.]

When did you get here?

[She's a little happy he missed the mess with the feather. She'd have felt awful if she made Mokona sad.]

Mamoru had seen Sakura's message, and wanted to head right over, now that the field hospital had cut him loose now that the majority of his healing was done and he actually felt up to walking. His usual toga, shoulderpads and arm and leg braces were being fixed up and cleaned at a tailor, so Mamoru had to go buy some new clean clothes. Thankfully a clothing store did sell a rather comfortable pair of tiny red shorts and a shirt and vest his size, along with some blue and white sneakers, that were pretty comfortable for him but around the showing arms and legs were still areas that were still bandaged up. He was also still wearing his green gem necklace as well.

Mamoru's body still ached a little bit, but he was regaining much of his energetic self back as he ran to the cafe. When he arrived and entered, he saw her and happily called out.

"Sakura-saaaaaan! It's so good to see you again!" Mamoru called out rather playfully.

"Mamoru!"

She turned looking more than a little surprised to see her friend. She remembered watching him fall, the horrid of weapons coming at him and then she had looked away. Sakura smiled but it wasn't completely sincere. She felt awful for letting that happen to him and completely blamed herself for the pain that he must had felt.

"You're okay? Should you be walking around?"

She pointed to the bandage with a worry crease to her brow.

Mamoru playfully closed his eyes and smiled as he spoke in a playful tone "Don't worry, don't worry! I'm a bit better than I was a while ago, the medics and doctors at the hospital were able to help me. I was just tired of laying in bed and feeling lonely, so they gave me the okay to leave. I just have to wear these bandages and take some medicine." Mamoru said warmly trying to assure Sakura he was fine. "Other than being a little sore and telling me to probably not use my powers or fly for a week or so, I think I'm back to my usual self." Mamoru said nervously as his fingers toyed at his red short shorts, while his other hand rubbed the bandage around his left arm.

Mamoru's face then turned worried himself. "To be honest, I'm much more worried about you..." Mamoru began. "When Gilgamesh struck me down, I...I knew I didn't have the power to win, but I wanted to keep fighting for your sake... But... I promised Anastasia-chan I would come back alive... So...I played dead. At the time, I know it might have looked to you like Gilgamesh did kill me when I was struck down. If that made you upset, I'm sorry..." Mamoru said. "I wasn't able to keep my promise with you after all, so I had to try my best to keep my promise with Anastasia-chan..."

[Sakura turns, her lips pulling into a wide smile.]

Much better.

[She's still resting because Fai makes her but she's felt like she's had more energy since retrieving her feather. She feels stronger.]

[The moment Sakura's message went out, Anastasia went to the Cat's Eye Cafe on the date Sakura said.

Dressed in her preferred casual royal dress, she arrived at the cafe, trying to think about what to say to Sakura.

Though she was in, and was nearly overwhelmed in joy to see for herself that Sakura is safe, she found herself unable to say anything. Anastasia remained as composed as she could as she approached her friend, and opened her arms, hoping she will accept a hug.]

[Sakura turns as the door opens, her gaze landing on Anastasia. Her lips curled into a wide smile and she stepped towards her friend to return her hug.]

[She's happy that the girl had stayed away from the fighting and that she can see her now.]

I made a very cute cake with you in mind. Would you like to try it?

[She pauses, and while the smile remains spread across her lips it's obvious she's worried.]

Are you alright? He hadn't gotten hurt have you?

[Fai had been doing his best to keep his mind focused on other things while she had been out cold. It was always nerving to wonder how long it might be this time, but at least with this time she wasn't ever going to wake up to anything bad... at the moment. The moment he could hear the Growlithe bark he turned his head, losing focus on the mixing bowl he had been using before he made his way toward the room, giving a small smile when he saw she was finally awake.]

[Her voice is soft though more color has come back to the young princesses features. She feels better than before though that's only natural after everything that's happened. For the moment she'll push those awful memories away and put on a warm smile.]

I'm really happy to see you.

[The sight of his death still sent a shiver down her spine, even if it isn't permanent she won't ever forget.]

[Sakura isn't shy when it comes to strangers. Seeing the other girl makes her smile widen slightly though the gesture doesn't reach her eyes. She's still a little worn from the experiance.]

[There is a small tint of regret in her tone though she tries to remain happy.]

Cat's Eye Cafe... Interesting name for a cafe.

[Slowly she made her way to the door and opened it, stepping inside she looked around. It seemed cozy, calming and nice. It made her smile. Taking a few steps in she soon heard a voice of a young woman.]

Oh... Hello. [She soon looked at the young girl, giving a soft smile.] This place looks really nice, do you own it?

Oh, no. Fai-san does.

[Her smile widens into a bright grin that rivals the light of the sun.]

Please take a seat! I'd be happy to take you're order. Fai-san's cakes are the best!

[She isn't exaggerating either.]

[Sakura turns with a wide smile. She doesn't know Gohan well but he had been one of those to help her.]

Hello! I'm glad you came. Here! Have a seat.

[She indicates a vacant seat at a small table.]

I'm really glad you came. I hope you weren't hurt.

[There is a small hint of regret in her tone though it's hard to pick out among the happy sounds of welcome and her bright smile.]

"Thank goodness; I'm glad you're all right. Since you're offering, I'd like one request granted. Aside from the cakes, that is. Please pray for Everglade, for the deputies under me, and myself last of all. Courage, safety, righteousness, wisdom. You know, the usual. We could really use it.

[Sakura nods with a wide smile that rivals the light of the sun.]

[She doesn't think there is a good way to repay those she's troubled but she hopes to start.]

[There is warmth in her tone and in her expression though Clow might notice that it doesn't quite reach her gaze. The cage has left her shaken and the experiance had been unkind. She feels awful for what she's put the town through and her dreams had been of not only new memories of home but also of dark memories of the cage and her keeper.]

Koishi showed up at the Cat's Eye Cafe several hours after Sakura's initial video without calling and without texting. She just sort of showed up, the door opening and closing unnoticed, the little youkai drifting through the cafe. It was probably some time before she was noticed, her glowing gren eyes peeking up over the edge of the counter, watching intently. She perked up the moment she was noticed, drifting up quite a bit, all smiles.

"Hello Miss!" Her voice had a sing-song tone to it, the looped artery over her left shoulder twisting into a heart shape. "We weren't properly introduced before. I'm Koishi Komeiji! I'm a satori youkai. We're psychic, but don't be nervous, okay? I can't read minds anymore. Just the subconscious!" Psychic? Well, she did have a literal third eye. A sphere about the size of a baseball, closed and hovering in front of her heart.

"I came by to make sure you're okay. And you are! That makes me really happy. I was worried that you were going to be hurt a lot longer than you were. You could barely move before and now you're up and about making cakes and phone calls!" The little youkai waved her arms. "That's amazing! Are you part youkai? Or something like that? Or maybe a living goddess like the nice miss with green hair from the mountain?"

[Action] The chattebox has arrived!

Sakura was a little taken back by the rush of words but she greats the girl with a smile. She's seen all sorts of strange thing and wasn't to surprised to a Youkai as well. Her own past and powers are unknown to her though she's hardly an average human which was most likely obvious after everything with the feather.

"I don't think so. I don't have all my memories yet but I'm Princess Sakura from Clow kingdom."

As far as she knows, she's normal.
