WHAT: Hammer's organized a little meet 'n greet over pizza, his treat. What a nice superhero!

WHERE: Geraldi's Pizzeria - Genessia City

There's something very inviting about a pizza parlor. The combination of spices never fails to set a man's stomach to grumbling, and Captain Hammer is no exception. He's arrived twenty minutes early to put down an order for three extra large pies, figuring that would probably be enough to feed the ones who responded to his proposition. And if more arrive, they'll just order a few more pizzas.

He figured this was a good way for the people stuck in this weird little dump to know who they could befriend (each other) and who they could rely on to punch villains in the face (and that would be him).

The pizzas were set out on a long, high table ringed by barstools. There were plates, napkins, forks ~~for the weak~~, a basket of breadsticks, a pitcher of root beer on one end, and a pitcher of real beer on the other. Hammer himself was perched on one of the barstools, enjoying a slice of pizza heaped with pepperoni and olives. One boot rested on the floor, the other was hooked on the lowermost rung of his barstool.

[Well, it had been a lovely little get-together. Good food, good company, and good conversation. And then toward the end of the party, everybody in attendance gets a message on their phone with an attached media file.]

[It's a slideshow, pictures of each and every one of them. On their way to the gathering, at their respective apartment buildings, and even just walking around the streets, always taken from a distance. And playing over it all is a happy little tune.]

[Any attempts to track down the sender yield only one result. Just a letter, nothing more.]

[And there it is. Declarations of heroic nature and good deeds seemed to attract villains like dirty, garbage-loving flies to the sweet goodness of heroic honey. For a moment he was about to give up on ever finding an evil wretch intent on spoiling a happy night, but there it is. There's the threat, the theme song, the signature of 'M'.]

[Hammer puts away his phone, but to his surprise...and it really does surprise him...he sees that the others are bent over their phones as well. What's this? Usually he's the one to field all the death threats. There's a moment of silence, and that's when Captain Hammer knows that it's time to speak up and make his move.]

Some of you...may be frightened.
And some of you may be scared.

[He speaks at first, shrugging a little at the last line while rising to his feet. And yet, somehow, there's a quiet stirring of trumpets.]

This pervert stalker thinks he's got us.
But it can change if we're prepared.
It's a tale as old as old people,
The clash between good and bad.
If we're going to gain the upper hand,
Then what we need...is a paaaaaaad.

[The music swells, catchy and upbeat as Hammer magnificently leaps onto two barstools to sing his song.]

Every hero needs a heaaaaaart of gold
Fists of steel, for punching evil in the face [He pulls down his fist, driving it into an imaginary villain's jaw]
Every hero needs a kickass car
And every hero needs a secret base

Now's your chance to taaaaake a stand
Vote for good, it takes one--two--three
Yes three votes for a base of operations!
So raise your hand and vote for me!

[OOC: Impromptu musical number time! Join in ~~or fail miserably at trying~~, give him weird looks, whatever you like! But if three people vote to have a secret hero base put in Genessia, IT WILL HAPPEN.]

[Jaune got the message on his phone and... honestly was weirded out, probably like a lot of the people around the place.] What the-- What the heck is this? [He didn't yell or panic like he normally would, but stared in shock as there seemed to be pictures of him, his friends, even people he only recognized from the gathering.]

[Cue Hammer's musical number.]

It takes three votes to get a secret base?

I really don't do singing
But this could be my chance
To be a hero like I've dreamed
To defend... with sword in... hand? [He eyes the sword at his hip]

Yeah, sure! Why not?
You totally get my vote!
Every hero needs a secret base
So... uh... yeah!

[He did say he wasn't one to do any singing, to be fair. Still, his hand was up!]

[The phone messages? That was creepy. The sudden musical number? That was kind of adorably cheesy in it's own way. Ruby's not going to join in because she embarrasses herself well enough on her own without making a musical number about it.]

Uh... What was that?

Ruby! Just put your hand up!

[Jaune was kind bouncing in his seat, and had to brace his elbow with his other hand because his arm was getting tired.]

[Okay fine Jaune, she'll raise her hand. The idea was a little silly, but pretty cool too. So she'll go with it.]

[Captain Hammer gives Jaune a sympathetic pat on the shoulder.]

Nice try, kid.

[At least he made an effort, and that's commendable. Kind of. But what matters is that there are now three total votes to put that base into effect, so the triumphant and stirring march resumes.]

Every hero needs his adoring fans
And to put evil doers in their place
Where else will he put his asskicking car
But in! His! See! Cret! BAAAAAAAAA--

[The music abruptly stops as Hammer pauses to punch a few buttons into his phone.]

Hey, CPU? You've got your three votes.

'Votes confirmed. Secret base placement has now been initiated.'

[Good. He puts away his phone. Clears his throat.]

--AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE!

[Triumphant fanfare.]

And then, toward the end of the pizza social. He's baaaaaaaack.
