[Levy's running from her store when her nightmare catches up with her. Her feet trip over themselves sending her crashing towards the cold ground. Her phone drops from her hand, her attempts to call for help useless and yet the video feed begins to play. Those watching see the blue haired girl with stains on her cheeks and dirt covering her dress, there is fear in her gaze as she turns back to look at who’s chasing her.

A low chuckle can be heard but before the man chasing her comes into view the feed ends.]

You forgot? Let me remind you.

[The words are thick and heavy, a cruel note to his tone as he slowly steps closer. Levy shakes her head, her heart aching knowing that she forgot her friend. It doesn't matter if they weren't close. He had told her to be strong, to keep fighting and yet she let the memory slip away thinking of some greater good.

Is it even worth it?]

I didn't mean to.

[Except she did, there is no undoing it. Tears freely begin to streak down her face as the Redfox steps closer. Each moment only adding to the fear and pain she held in her heart, knowing what she’s done; Levy doesn't even try to escape.]

"It might be too early to use my powers again...but I definitely won't let you hurt Levy-san!" Mamoru said with a serious look as he breifly closed his eyes and a bright green glow appeared on him and he sprouted his white fairy wings, and his hair stood up. He stood in front of Levy and covered her in the glow as well, creating an energy shield, making a sign with his hands. his arms and legs winced in protest, but he wasn't going to let this Gajeel hurt Levy.

"I may have failed to save Sakura-san from Gilgamesh, but I won't lose again! So leave her alone!

The phantom only laughed at the young boy. It's eyes fixed to Levy who cowered behind him. She wanted to fight, she wanted to run but her joints were locked into place as if fear has stolen her will.

"Then let her tell you of her crime."

Levy began to shake her head back and forth. Fresh tears rolling down her cheeks. "No." It hurt and more than that she didn't know what to do. She was lost with one of her friends moving forward, his eyes gleaming with the intent to kill her.

"I don't care!"

Mamoru shouted out with determination. "It doesn't matter what she's done! I know in my heart that Levy-san is a good person! I can tell she has true courage in her heart! No matter what she might have did in the past, I know that it doesn't change that Levy-san is Levy-san! I have faith in her! Believing in someone to save them with all your courage, that's what it means to be a true hero!"

"Levy-san, please try to move, we'll try to back away together, okay? with my shield, we should be safe..."

Levy's eyes widened with each word, her tears drying for a moment as Mamoru stands between her and her fears. Except she had forgotten her friend, she had chosen to forget him. How did Mamoru not think that she'd do that to him too? What if she forgot everything?

She swallowed clamping her eyes shut and then trying to stand.

The Redfox steps closer and as if to test out Mamoru's shield his arm extends into a piece of steel that comes crashing down towards them.

As the blade made contact, Mamoru braced himself and tried hard to hold the barrier, yelling as he increased the energy, managing to deflect the first blow.

"Levy-san, we have to get out of here! I don't think I'm in good enough shape to defeat whoever this is, but I can at least do this!" Mamoru said as he took Levy's hand and with the shield still in place, Mamoru flew the two of them away from the attacker. "Please, hang on, Levy-san!"

The man only smirked as his arm was pushed away. He didn't look like he was letting up any time soon. Levy's nightmares wouldn't end until she was gone. She shook her head back and forth as the haunting laughter of her friend invaded her ears.

She swallowed and slowly stood.

"We should run." She whispered softly unsure how much strength she had left.

"Don't worry. I'm getting you out of here if that's the last thing I do, Levy-san." Mamoru said as he started to fly with her hand in the opposite direction. "Please, hold on."

However, as they started to get away from whatever was chasing Levy, Mamoru seemed on edge, but he tried to shake off his odd feeling and help the other. "I'm going to protect you and get you to safety for sure."

Levy's hand holds onto his tightly as they attempt to make their escape. Her eyes dare to dart behind her where the Redfox was following with a devilish grin.

"Faster... we need to get out of Fayren." Her voice was weak and she felt as if she might collapse from the effort of just seeing the man chasing them.

"In that case. let's head to Genessia City...I'll get you at least to the Children's Home..." Mamoru nodded, beggining to fly faster. a negative feeling began to go through Mamoru's body, but he tried to push it aside, but it still bothered him enough to ave to change his plans. "Before too long we'll reach the archway, once we get close, I'm going to have to ask you to run as fast as you can to Genessia. There's...something I need to do here in Fayren..."

Levy looked up at at Mamoru with a frantic stare.

"No! You can't stay here!" She didn't know what was going on but she wasn't foolish enough to think it was only her who was experiencing her fears.

It wasn't too long before they got to the archway. At which point Mamoru landed and stopped glowing and turned back to normal. "You should keep going before whatever is chasing you catches up." Mamoru explained.

"There's still something I need to check out. I'll catch up with you later. Will you be alright from here, Levy-san?' Mamoru said softly, looking into the looming forest.

She hesitated, not wanting to let him go out there alone but she knew that she couldn't persuade him otherwise. She nodded her head and then turned towards the Archway.

She wouldn't stop running until she reached home.
