Stay away!

[Levy's running from her store when her nightmare catches up with her. Her feet trip over themselves sending her crashing towards the cold ground. Her phone drops from her hand, her attempts to call for help useless and yet the video feed begins to play. Those watching see the blue haired girl with stains on her cheeks and dirt covering her dress, there is fear in her gaze as she turns back to look at who’s chasing her.

A low chuckle can be heard but before the man chasing her comes into view the feed ends.]

You forgot? Let me remind you.

[The words are thick and heavy, a cruel note to his tone as he slowly steps closer. Levy shakes her head, her heart aching knowing that she forgot her friend. It doesn't matter if they weren't close. He had told her to be strong, to keep fighting and yet she let the memory slip away thinking of some greater good.

Is it even worth it?]

I didn't mean to.

[Except she did, there is no undoing it. Tears freely begin to streak down her face as the Redfox steps closer. Each moment only adding to the fear and pain she held in her heart, knowing what she’s done; Levy doesn't even try to escape.]

Well... have you ever seen the Everglade guardian? It was that guy. He was being really shady and creepy, running his mouth about things he doesn't know anything about, talking like he knew me and Natsu when we've never met the guy. He gave this completely insincere apology about his assumptions, then, when I demanded to know who was spreading rumors or at least talking about us, he avoided the question. I don't know what his deal is, or how he even got the position he has, but I don't trust him.

[This just got super awkward.]

Yeah, I know Ted. [There is a slight pause and Levy begins to chew on her lower lip as she thinks about the best way to phrase this.] He really isn't bad and before you say anything just know I have only a vague idea about his conversation with you and I didn't tell him anything like that.

We work together and sometimes... [A lot of the times.] I'll talk about Fairy Tail.

I didn't know he'd talk to you. [She didn't mention her and Natsu's relationship or any assumptions about it.]

He was trying to get information about when Natsu and I fought Dracula. He decided our testimony wasn't good enough - which I suppose is why he didn't pursue anything with that creepy vampire guy. [ Which annoys her, letting someone just go like that. Oh well. ]

I don't know where he's getting his information from then. I know you wouldn't go talking about my personal life to people, and I sure wouldn't do that to you. But he wasn't willing to tell who his source was, which really creeps me out that someone out there is being a stalker or something. Or he was just making assumptions based off of his own weirdo fantasies or something. Either way, it makes my skin crawl. I trust you Levy-chan, just be extra careful around this guy.

He really isn't bad.

[She can see how he might come off that way.]

As I said we work together. Dracula has been doing a lot of very bad things and we're trying to find a way to stop him. More so in Everglade with everything that's going on.

[Levy sighs softly as she makes her way down the street.

He might have been trying to help but he likes to be vague.

Mm. I guess he might not be, but I don't trust anyone who acts like a shady creeper. And being vague is not a way to be helpful.

[ She's had quite enough of people acting vague and turning out to be assholes, like Dracula - not to mention certain other people in the past. ]

Natsu almost took the communication device away from me when I was talking to that guy, because I was getting upset and he was being "vague" and refused to give me a straight answer or even apologize without sounding insincere. I don't like people like that.

[Being vague isn't helpful but over the months of working with Ted Levy's been able to more or less pick up on his meaning.]

He's really a good guy and has really nice intentions. He's trying to stop Dracula and dark magic in Everglade.

[Which is very difficult considering the way of life that the people there lead.]

He does like to tease but he does say what he means. Only in a lot of words sometimes and in a very roundabout way.

I'm sure. [ Though Lucy's agreement is rather flat, being that the man gave a very bad first impression of himself. ]

So where did you say you were living?

Oh, it's just a block from here.

[She points down the street.]

I'm living with David. The house is big enough and I've begun to create a library in the attic. [Not to mention that her room is already filled with books.]

It's nice and you can sleep in my room.

[She doesn't mind sharing her space.]

[ Lucy blinked, and shook her head with a fond smile. ]

No, that's okay. I'll ... I wasn't intending to stay overnight or anything. My head is a little clearer now so I'll be okay going back later..

Back to Fayren?

[It doesn't take Levy long to figure out something is wrong there.]

At least stay one night.

[ Lucy clasped her friend's arm gently, shaking her head with a laugh. ]

I'll be fine. I'll remember this time. [ That her friends weren't dead. That it wasn't her fault. Besides, she didn't want to burden Levy with her troubles. She'd prefer to go for a while for a while, thinking, and then head back when she was tired. ]

[Levy will pout about it but she'll let Lucy make her own choices. It isn't really her job to force her friend to come over.]

Okay but be safe. [She gives Lucy a warm smile.] Are you going to do back now?

I will. Natsu's probably already looking for me anyhow. [ He rarely was far from her, especially during this craziness. ]

Yeah, I .. well, I might walk around a bit, and clear my head. But I'd really like to see your arm patched up before anything else. If Wendy was still around -- [ Well, regardless... ]

You have bandages and stuff in your house right?

[Levy looks at her arm and then nods. The pain has subsided some and she hasn't been thinking about it. Now that she's focused on the wound she swears it hurts more than before.]

Yeah I have some stuff. If David's home I can ask him for help.

[As far as Levy knows David can do anything.]

So I'll be good.
