[ gaila quickly ducks out of sight, away from the barrage of bullets. she's orion, quick and agile, never trusting her surroundings or letting her guard down, especially in unfamiliar, alien territory. it's how she survived life under the syndicate, how she managed to keep her head above water while living among a species that loathed her own. honestly, it's not terribly surprising to be shot at. things here were feeling a little to calm for her ingrained pessimistic tastes. the bad shoe was bound to drop sooner or later. ]
