For some time now, Kefka's tower had sat comfortable in its little shell, unmoving, the monsters content to just attacking whoever was foolish enough to get too close. But something different was happening today. High above the tower, a brilliant ball of light was beginning to form, casting a golden hue on all it touched. On top of that the three statues at the corners of the triangular barrier looked little like statues any longer, and would even speak to any that drew near.

Something big was about to happen. The very air itself seemed charged with an unmistakable power that didn't need magical sensitivity to feel beating down from the orb overhead. Whatever was happening, any who saw the light knew that one way or another, it all ended today.

It had been a little while since Kefka taunted Zeref with a potential attack. However, he figured they'd had enough time to stew. It was time to attempt to take Zeref and his guild's powers for himself. After all, a wizard with dominion over death magic would make such a lovely crystal.

The relative peace of the day in Everglade was shattered when a large portal opened up near the Tartarus guild hall. The first through its shimmering ring was a massive Behemoth that announced the attack with a bellowing roar while smaller monsters flooded out around it. Metal Hitmen and Vector Lythos made up the bulk of the attack force, though there were a couple Great Malboro among the number as well.

[ there's a moment where the view is upside down- and it's of nothing but a blue arrow. he pauses, holds it out further so the entire person holding it is in the shot (still upside down) ]

I think I figured everything out. Sort of. I can just talk into this, right? And then everyone else sees or hears it? [ there's a pause where he's not sure what to do after that. is it even working? how would he know? ] It's so weird to talk to people without knowing if you're actually talking to people.

Uh... - I'm Aang! Hi. Weiss said that this was an entirely different world. Thanks for the introduction explain by the way if you can see this! She said different world so I was wondering where everyone else came from to begin with? I only know the one I came from-- Okay, technically two but the Spirit World is interconnected and I can be in both at the same time so I'm not sure if that counts.

Also, how do people go about finding out if anyone they know is here? Or has anyone seen a flying bison around? Do you guys have bear-bears or different kinds of bears? What's a video anyway? Is this a spirit world or a regular world?

The sky over Genessia city are unusually densely cloudy today. Barely any light is getting through, really. Thunder has been rumbling through the clouds and the occasional bolt of lightning could be seen darting through the gray skies, but that doesn't seem to bother the people on the ground. If anything there seems to be a large party. Traffic has been blocked as nearly a thousand people, all in black robes, congregate in an intersection, their eyes locked on the skies. It is when the video feed clicks on that the cause of the commotion makes himself apparent as Kefka's face is broadcast.( Cut for length )

[If one is out and about in the main city of Genessia, there's a good chance that they will bump into a man standing on a soap box, wearing a white robe and with gold trim. A middle-aged man, with white hair and a short beard. He's shouting at the top of his lungs and a rather large group of people have assembled.]

Gather round children! I have seen something amazing with my own eyes! Our god walks among us and has revealed himself to me! He has shown me the truth of his glory, and it was an experience that changed everything I knew about life!

He can provide us what we all desire the most! The innermost workings of our hearts are laid bare before Him! Soon, he will descend upon this world, and will bless the faithful, and strike down the wicked! Give yourself to the god that walks among us, and you too can share in the glory that is our merciful god!

[Kefka watched on from the shadows, pleased with the performance of the spell. He was worried it wouldn't work on a native of a world free of the Warring Triad's influence. He had to stifle the giggle that would've given his alleyway vantage point.]

Zeref looked away from the camera for a bit, frowning, before turning back. }

We cannot wait any longer. I have chosen Tartarus' Third Master.

[Today, Kefka can be found lazing in the air above Fayren, though there are no distinct clues as to where in Fayren he is.]

Ah... such a wonderful day, is it not, Genessia~? The sun is shining, the breeze blowing, people making fools of themselves in the name of friendly competition~

[He takes a deep breath.]

Though I must say... there seems to be a faint scent on the wind... perhaps it is a wind of change, coming to blow through Fayren~? Only time will tell, I suppose.

[ Zeref appears to be in the middle of Fayren City; a very bad place for him to see something that angered him, or at least severely embarrassed him. He's glaring, but his eyes are barely visible; they're not quite red and glowing yet, though. ]

Who in their right mind would think this was a good idea? [ Zeref holds up a flier for the beauty pageant. The camera is centered on his name, in the list of male contestants. ] Whoever you are, do you realize what could happen if I participated in something like this!?

[ Ignoring the fact that he'd sooner volunteer one of the Books of Zeref to be reviewed in the Genessia Tribune, if his magic activated in the middle of something like that... ]

[When the video clicks on, Kefka is all smiles. His face isn't pale, and though his eyes still bear the crimson markings around them, he otherwise looks... uncharacteristically normal. He even has a proper suit on.]

In my home world, I was not only the High Court Mage of the Gestahlian Empire, but I was the world's top expert in the field of Magitek Engineering. [ There's a bit of fumbling from the camera as it shows a large, pupil-less green eye. It blinks, then pans back to show a young girl with a frilly dress and wing-like hair adornments. It.... looks like she's in Fairy Haven, the guildhouse for Fairy Tail in Fayren.

She's giving a big smile as she examines the camera-walkie-talkie-thing. ]

This works like a communication lacrima, right? I wonder if it can see ghosts. [ It can!! Or at least, it seems people here don't need the guild crest to see her ethereal body, so same thing. Not that she knows that yet. ] If it can't, I'll bet this is pretty scary, right? Ooo! [ She shakes the camera a little, emulating a haunted camera or... something.

She seems to grow bored of that after a few seconds. She pouts a little. ] I just got so bored waiting for somebody to show up here. Fairy Tail is usually so active, but it's quiet here... Is everybody working? Sleeping? Maybe I should go check everybody's rooms...

[ No, Mavis, that's breaking and entering. Probably. You lived aloneish on an island for like a hundred years come on you can wait a few hours. ]

....I wonder if they'll be surprised to see me here?


[ So yeah. First Master is hanging around the guild waiting for people to show up. Bother her in person or over the videophone. ]

[The water ripples, sending soft echo's through the cave. Terra's eyes flutter open and set their sight on the cave's ceiling. She brings her hand to her head watching the water drip down her forearm.]

Water?

[She turns and feels a weight on her chest tumble away. Terra feels the water trail down her back as she reaches for the box that now lay below the tide. She stands and opens the box taking note of its irregular content. After stashing the items in her bag she moves towards the light of the exit.]

[She stops at the sign, reading the words carefully.]

This isn't home?

[She reaches down into her bag bringing the communicator out. After a deep breath she turns it on reaching out to those listening.]

Hello?

It had been far too long since Kefka had done anything involving his illusion magic. It was something he enjoyed far too much. The confusion and chaos that always followed his illusions were always far too comical to resist.

He approached the Fairy Tail guild hall, tapping his chin as he walked. So many suitable candidates, so little time. But, to avoid any kind of duplication, since he wasn't sure who was inside at the moment, he spun once, taking on Zeref's appearance. He took a second to mimic the mage's walk before stepping into the guild hall, acting as if nothing was out of the ordinary.

Let the games begin.

[ On waking in the pod, Lucy was admittedly very.. disoriented. It wasn't her apartment back home OR in that other world she'd been in for a year. MOreover, Natsu wasn't with her like usual. Or Levy, or Erza. But maybe they'd gone to scout ahead? ]

[ No, she was sure Natsu would have waited. After looking over the items left with her and familiarizing herself with the new equipment (thankfully she was familiar enough with a thing like that so it didn't take long for her to understand), she slipped out of the pod, searching around the Bay first, before heading out to the city.

Boy did she hope her friends were here somewhere. One can find Lucy exploring/scouting around not far from the Bay, her videophone in hand. ]

[ It isn't long after she's digested all the information she was given before she fussed with the videophone enough to turn it on to broadcast a question. ]

Jaune sticks his hand out the front door of the apartment building he lived in before he dared step out. It's supposed to be raining cats and dogs, as per the newspaper's readings... but he felt nothing. "Ha!" He smiles, "Thank goodness that weather report was wrong. Maybe the rest of them will be too."

Great! Now he can go march to Harry's office in Everglade and tell him that he's gonna sign up. Then Jaune could work his way up to being a real hero! It's kinda like when he joined Beacon - minus the falsifying of documents and all that. So on his way he goes! And he starts passing by the Bay when suddenly...

MEAO!

Jaune hears a terrified meow of a cat who falls from the sky, and he looks up just in time...!

... To have it land on his face.

"WAH! OH MY GOD!" He wails as the tabby starts flipping the heck OUT, kind of like he does. Before it scampers off and darts away though, it leaves his face with a frantic claw-raking. Jaune screams like a little girl as it hurries off, clutching his now scratched-across face - one big set of three claw marks diagonally across his face and a couple nicks taken off his chin.

"OH HORRIBLE PAIN!" He shouts, "NOTHING COULD BE MORE AGONIZING THAN THE PAIN I FEEL AT THIS MOMENT!!"

He kind of flails around for a moment before simply slumping up next to something - a vending machine we'll say. His screaming stops, but now he's all teary-eyed and miserable.

"What is WRONG with this place?!"
