A scrawny-looking old man in a suit greets the camera. No, make that a shivering scrawny-looking old man in a completely soaked black and white suit. Still, despite that, he looks like he's in relatively high spirits; when he speaks, his quiet voice is calm, even slightly amused at the novelty of his situation.

"Well, this is new. I can't say I've been through a kidnapping like this before. Though I'm not sure I buy the part about different worlds. Still, assuming there's anyone listening, I do have a question or two. To start with, what day is it? It's a bit chillier than I expected."

Doubly so for someone in his circumstances; freezing temperatures and wet clothes (especially ones meant for milder weather) do not mix. Maybe he should get inside or find something dry to wear before he gets into serious trouble?

((Prose is my default, but I don't care if you reply in brackets! I can also toss brackets around my narration if prose over the network is a problem?))

"Goodness! Someone that's made it all the way to, why, at least middle age. You're a rare treat, sir. Practically the stuff of legend.

It's the twenty-second of November, to slay your riddle. Welcome to your new home."

A young raven haired woman appeared on the feed, she gives a smile and tries her best to keep a professional presence when talk to someone or at least helping them.

"It's the twenty second of November, so in a sense we're in the last month of Autumn near winter, which is why it might seem a bit chillier than where you last were." She knew when she first came in here it was odd since it was Spring when she first arrived.

"Though I assume you need a nice warm place to go to. I can be with you in about two minutes since my inn is near by."

Nagisa seemed a little cheery as he answer. For someone whose in the same boat it might seem odd. "I don't think I've ever been kidnapped before, though you make it sound like you have?" That at least made his smile fade for that moment.

"Though about the different worlds...I think since we don't have dragons where I'm from and seeing one around here... I would be more inclined to believe it."

"Are you okay?"

Sakura ficks onto the video with a worried glance to the screen. Her and Fai's apartment aren't too far away, she should be able to run him a towel or a jacket or something. As she spoke she started to rummage through her house and more than a few things could be heard falling.

"It's November I think. Um... are you at the Bay? Let me bring you a towel."

Does that mean there are no old people here? How interesting -- but Jerry can't think on it for long before the next bit of information comes out.

"It was late spring, before. How did I lose six months?" The question is quiet, mostly to himself.

He's already found out about the six months he somehow missed, so it's not as much of a surprise this time, but it's still distressing. He focuses on her other statement instead, since it presents a solution to his more presently pressing concerns.

"That would be a great help, thank you. I appreciate it."

Oh, shoot. Time to find a reasonable explanation; no reason to blow his cover this early.

"I mean, I've never seen a kidnapping like this before. You know, television, cinema." There, that should work. Thankfully, he's a practiced liar.

No question is too quiet to suggest an answer. Especially a dumb one.

"Hmm, you must've misplaced them. Did you try retracing your steps?" So hilarious.

"Genessia works in mysterious ways. Which is about as good an answer you can expect to any other queries you've got, I'm afraid."

Oh, hey, you okay? I'm in Genessia for a photographic service but I still have a couple of hours before it, do you need a hand?

And I suspect other people already replied but it's already november here.

"That's right, those types of things are seen by a lot of people." Makes perfect sense, right? Yeah, Nagisa think it did.

"But this world is like those television shows and movies, but real."

"Very well. Can you please stay at the Bay, it shouldn't take me longer than five minutes to get there." Advantage of her inn being so close to the Bay. So with a polite bow she switches the feed off before she started to make her way and as she said she wasn't more than five minutes until she could see them.

"Hello again, I'm the one who mentioned my inn before, I'm here to take you there."

After some fiddling the face of something... very clearly inhuman flickered on the screen. Her green hair was disturbingly natural looking and framed by a black sunhat. Her green eyes had a surprisingly bright inner glow, causing some faint camera problems until she pulled her face back a little. She appeared to have blue cords floating around her body attached to a blue sphere, which hovered in front of her chest. Actually it looked remarkably like a closed eye...

"Hello Mister! You're in Genessia!" He probably already knew that. "None of us are here because we want to be. But that's okay. It's really fun here too. I'm Koishi Komeiji. I'm a satori youkai." If he was at all familiar with Japanese folklore he might have heard of the species.

"It's very nice to meet you Mister." Her voice was almost sing-song. I can help out if you need anything. I'm nearby or I could just tell you things with the phone."

He winces at the sounds he hears, hoping nothing fragile is being broken and that the girl isn't being hurt.

"I'm fine, really." Never mind that 'it's a bit chilly', translated from Stiff Upper Lip to Plain English, means 'I'm freezing my butt off'.

"There's no need to go to such trouble. I think someone's already on the way."

((If Sakura wants to help out anyway, maybe you can join in the action thread with Yukiko up there? If her player doesn't mind!))

"It was rhetorical." Only not really; if there's actually an explanation, he would have liked to have heard it.

"So there's nothing on who's in charge here? How and why we were brought here?" Usually kidnappers want something.

"I think someone's already on the way, but thank you for your concern." For a bunch of what he presumes to be a bunch of fellow kidnappees, the people in this city are extremely friendly and helpful.

"But you can help me with this; is it common to lose time coming here? It was late spring before."

"Any idea what our kidnappers want?"

"I have a towel... are you sure?"

She didn't want to push the matter but he looked cold. She didn't know what else she might be able to do anyway.

And here was a small child peering into the video with an intelligent expression. He didn't look a day over seven.

"When you have eliminated the impossible whatever remains, however improbably, must be true. Holmes said that about deductions, but I think it is true for here as well. We can't prove the existence of other worlds yet, but the evidence doesn't support any other conclusion."

"Ah, are you okay? You look really cold."

Takato frowns in confusion.

"I guess it's a little strange for this to be another human world."

Ah, one of those crotchety old men. "Oh, not nothing. Let me tell you..."

With trademark cheeriness and flowery verbosity, Ted laid out da rulez. This place appeared to be led by spirits, who wanted everyone here to A.) Show them what it means to be 'alive', and B.) Protect the world from evil spirits knocking on its dome. It's perhaps more numinous than geriatric Jerry was used to, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Best get to livin'! And protecting, if that's your bag.

Yukiko will find him just inside one of the entrances of the Bay; not so far in as to be in the water, because he's trying to get dry, but just to have a roof over his head. He's hugging himself, head down and shoulders up, for warmth, but when he spots her, he straightens his posture.

"Lead the way." He nods respectfully, ready to follow.

"I appreciate it, but I don't want you to catch something trying to help me." He's already wet from falling in the Bay, so the rain doesn't really bother him, but this is the kind of weather that keeps people inside.

((Now I wonder if the combination of rain + freezing/below freezing temperatures means freezing rain, ha ha.))

Jerry reels back from the camera for a moment in sheer surprise, but recovers quickly.

"Thank you for the welcome, young lady. Do you mind telling me what a 'satori youkai' is?" He pronounces it well, indicating at least a little familiarity with Japanese. He's pretty sure he's heard the term 'youkai' before (probably by flipping through channels and stumbling upon some fantasy anime or other), but he has no idea what it means.

"I'm not saying it's impossible, I just don't believe everything I hear without investigating for myself. There could be other possibilities as well."

He's awfully well-spoken for a boy his age... and Jerry wonders what Holmes has to do with any of this.

"I took a little spill, but I'll be alright." He gives a small, self-depreciating but amused smile; despite the cold, he doesn't seem too put out.

"Is there any other kind? Other than other planets, I suppose."
