[Attention Genessia citizens and Guardians alike! Meet Vyse, the Blue Rogue. This spirited young man appears on your screen, his brown hair a little plastered to his forehead by sweat. He's been running around a lot! But having freshly escaped danger, he's free to dole out the warnings. What little that can be discerned of him is this: he has one funky glass eye-piece, and he's in a well-lit cave of some kind.]

Greetings Genessia. I unfortunately have a warning to issue: the Goblin activity mentioned in the paper is part of something big; some kind of "plan" by Skeletor. Now I don't know who this Skeletor guy is, but I had a little chat with one of his cronies, and if that guy was any indication, this "plan" is big trouble. Those Goblins are armed to the teeth, so I don't think they'll be stopping in for tea.

Right now they're in Fayren. I told the City Guardian about it, but I don't know just what she can do alone against something like that. Personally? If these guys try anything I plan to be right there to put a stop to it. We're on to you, Skeletor.

[Personally he's hoping that being outed might curb Skeletor's ambitions for a while...] Everyone, be careful alright? These guys are dangerous.

Goblins in Fayren is it? And what makes them so dangerous aside from the "armed to the teeth" bit?

Aside from being armed to the teeth? Uh... [Honestly, that jarred Vyse a bit. Is that not reason enough?] Well they're violent and unpredictable normally. But now they're under some precise leadership. It's like taking a storm and directing it - focusing it.

[Come on Killian, any sailor worth his salt wouldn't like that metaphor.]

[ Armed monsters, be it with weapons or magic, are certainly worth not underestimating, but still aren't all that threatening to him in the long run.]

Aye, I've faced Mermaids that could do just that.

[Literally, summon storms that could tear your ship apart by making your men turn on each other while the sea drags you down around you.]

A beast is still a beast even with guidance. I'm sure we can muster more cunning than the creatures with the right group of men and women willing to fight.

What?! You really faced a mermaid?! I thought those were just legends! [Welp, you've gone and got him interested, Hook.] Are you a sailor too?

[You've got a point though! How skilled can they possibly be?] ... Yeah, that's true. But there's nothing to be gained by underestimating someone's opponent. I'm not worried about the Goblins - it's their leader that's the problem.

Mermaids mate, they usually attack in droves.

[He smirks, amused at the question. Is he a sailor?]

[Nodding in agreement.]

Aye, best to aim for the head of the beast.

[Vyse only blinks once in surprise.] ... Oh! You're a Captain! Sorry, I couldn't tell. [Still, he's elated to meet another sailor, and his face brightens.] I'm Vyse of the Blue Rogues. I was Captain of the Delphinus for a while. It's nice to meet you, Hook.

[Man, what a name.]

[Couldn't--Couldn't tell? Pardon him while he's trying not to take that personally. You do get a somewhat frowny look for it though.]

Killian Jones is my name, but Hook suits me just fine.

[He's not sure if it's nice meeting you yet Vyse. If you were a lady he'd agree it was a pleasure either way.]

So then, what's your plan for this goblin mastermind?

Killian Jones? Now that sounds like a-- [Oop, he really shouldn't just start throwing around the term 'pirate.' It's not the most polite of terms.]

Anyway... we may have no choice but to fight him. He's got the Fayren Guardian stowed away in his hide-out and I don't think he's going to budge unless we do something, or just let him take over.
