[Shion just got off his shift and he's been thinking about this for a while. He tucks some hair behind his ear and starts talking.]

I've started working at the hospital, but that led me to noticing that we could use more medical facilities in the other cities. So I'm thinking of starting an emergency clinic that would be open to anyone who needs medical attention.

I'm still not sure which city would need it the most, and I'm wondering if there's anyone else who would be interested in volunteering. It could be group-run, so when someone leaves, ideally there wouldn't be a sudden shift of responsibility onto just one person.

Doctor, are you available at this moment? Or do I need to make an appointment for a later date?

I'm not a doctor, Nezumi.

Don't you "what did you do?" to me. [ he rolls his eyes. he's just teasing ]

If you aren't busy, Doctor, could you look at this for me? And tell me what you think too.

[ he'll send a text message after that. they'll be on image file at the bottom: mms_attachment ]

You're the one asking for an appointment.

[He lingers on the attachment for a little longer than necessary. A house with Nezumi? Is that what he had been busy with lately? He had tried not to be too hopeful when he had told him he loved him and wanted to be with him, because he was drunk at that time, but if he was taking it that seriously.]

I like it. How did you find it?

I didn't know if you were really busy.

[ there's a pause and he's messing with his phone. Shion can probably hear him typing on it though his face is still seen ]

Are you sure you like it? I'll send you another one. You don't sound too sure... [ and there goes another message to him with this picture ]

We just...need to find somewhere to live... If we're going to be here a while, you know?

Not really. I just got off work.

No, I like it! I'm just really happy... I've wanted to live with you for a while.

I prefer the first one; it's more secluded. You can fill it up with books! But we're getting enough shelves for them this time.

You lived with me before in the slums. Why is it...

Your reasons for letting me live with you then were different.

It's perfect. [He smiles to show he means it. It looks warm, cozy and neat. But he's especially excited about living with Nezumi.]

Sure. We should probably see it in person.

Good! I'm really glad you like it. I was trying to get something that wouldn't be too much and would be easy to upkeep.

Just let me know when you want to go see it. I don't have anything to do if you just got off work.

Really? I'd like to hear you elaborate.

That's probably the sweetest thing you've ever said to me. Aww.

I'm near the hotel, I thought you would be heading this way sooner or later.

I knew you loved the sound of your own voice, but I didn't think it meant that much to you.

Well that just makes me sound conceited.

[And have a cold Shion running up to Nezumi when he spots him, eyes bright from seeing his Favorite Person.]

I didn't know you could be so snarky.

[ and as soon as Shion shows up, he looks over at him and smiles but-- ] You look like you haven't seen me in years. Are you cold?

It must have been from living with you.

No, I'm fine. [He is, but he's dealt with worse and he wants to impress Nezumi.]

I was happy to see you. Is that wrong?

I'm sure I did rub off on you to some degree.

[ he reaches a hand across Shion's back, resting it on his arm so that he can share his warmth ]

Not at all, you just remind me of Inukashi's dogs when you've been gone for a while and haven't bathed them. They act so happy for a bath. [ he snickers ]

[He interlocks their fingers.]

They really do, don't they? [He smiles.] It's cute.

[ he feels his face get warm at that and gives Shion's hand a tiny squeeze ]

Guess so. But the rats look a lot cuter when they see you're around. [ rats? cute? of course Nezumi would say something like that ] Are you ready to go see the house?

Your rats are pretty cute! [his smile turns sweeter because they are cute, but Hamlet is a little morbid when it comes to his taste in books.] Whenever you are.

Why do you think I was named after them? [ jesus christ these too... also, where do you think Hamlet got his taste in books from? 8| ] Good, lets get going then.

I knew it wasn't your ego that you shared in common. [He loops an arm around Nezumi. Stay close to him!]

How else would I have programmed them?

I would not mind offering my services in order to help out with this.

Great! What sort of experience do you have and what would you be most interested in helping with? We'll need people to take care of different tasks, which is why I ask.

Oh, and I'm Shion.

I have experience working on major and minor injuries and can tend to the sick. I also can work as a field medic and heal people on the front lines. Honestly, I do not mind where you would put me since I enjoy helping and healing others.

I could help out in the morning and afternoon. If we get more interest, I can take either a morning only or afternoon only shift. It does not matter to me.

I think it all depends on he situation. Things happen in each city, but at least two of them have hospitals or something that we are aware of. I know that Everglade sometimes need the help when it comes to all things medical. But you could perhaps do on in the three cities that don't have a hospital, that way you are helping many others.

It would be best to narrow it down to those three cities that don't have any hospital to speak of. Was there something about Everglade that makes it need more medical resources than the other two?

Well there are always attacks by vampires and werewolves and other supernatural beings. It's not all the time, but it does happen every so often. I know that it's them just doing what they need to, to survive, but they do hurt innocent people as well.

Honestly, that is a very sensible idea. The hospitals in Genessia and Nova City have helped me and my allies numerous times in the past, and in times of crisis we've often had to accommodate by setting up temporary measures. Something a little more...permanent in place already would certainly ease some pressure.

I agree. It shouldn't stop anything temporary from being set up when necessary but if it's already established, then it's more likely patients will be helped on time.

Yes, I do not think one should entirely replace the other, but a more permanent structure would help immensely.

Did you have any further thoughts as to which city you would set up in?
