First Race [Action/Text]
[Action]
[Even after seeing that lady in the hologram, reading the info she got, and understanding how to use the communication device she got, Vanellope still wasn't completely calm. Sure, she was safe here. But she couldn't go back home. That was the thing that bothered her the most. She knew things would be okay back in Sugar Rush; she'd appointed Taffyta to take care of things if she ever disappeared so their game wouldn't get taken down. It'd cause suspicion if she was gone for too long, though. And she knew Ralph and the others would be really worried about her.
As she stepped out into Genessia City proper, she tried to follow the green line on the map as best she could - trying to avoid suspicious areas or people. She'd learn the area over time, if she had to stay here. That wasn't much of an issue. What was was her fright of being in an unfamiliar area and not knowing anyone here.
It's completely possible to get her attention though, especially as she's getting out said communication device to send a text. After all, she wanted control of her emotions while she spoke to anyone else, and using the text option seemed like the best bet.]

So... a couple of questions from a newcomer...
Is there really no way to go back home? And if not, does time still pass while we're here?
How do we find if others from our own worlds have come here?

So... a couple of questions from a newcomer...
Is there really no way to go back home? And if not, does time still pass while we're here?
How do we find if others from our own worlds have come here?
[Text]
[But then there's the question about others from your own worlds and she's glad this is text since she's grinning a little.]
Depending on your relationship, they'll probably find you at some point or other. But, hey, might as well make the most of this place until someone figures something out, right?
[Text]
It wouldn't be hard to find them, for one reason or another.
[Either giant stature, loud jumping noises, or just being loud in general.]
[Text]
[Could be worse. Could be found via worse methods, like if she'd been left alone for too long and maybe caused a ruckus herself. Oops.]
You figure out which city you're going to stay in? Though I guess city is... relative, given on where it is. [As in she's not going near one of them with a ten foot pole for... reasons.]
[Text]
Just got outta whatever it was I was sleeping in. I dunno what cities there are right now. [Leaving out the part that she's heading towards where the map's leading her right now.]
[Text]
Worried about someone you think might be here?
[Text]
At least if one of them were here before me, I'd know things were okay back home.
[Because she'd seen all of them before she arrived. It'd be a good assumption that if any of them were there, maybe time didn't pass back at home.]

... She didn't want to be stuck here still, but she could still make the most of it.]
That's good to hear. Thanks for the info. [She's much calmer now. And thus, more curious. She doesn't really want to stay in a children's home. She can take care of herself, if she knows where she's going.]
So... what is the 'working age' here?
text;
text;
What kinda work is there to be done? [Best to be sure.]

Sucks to be you that you got pulled here like the rest of us, but I do get a tiny bit of enjoyment in telling you that no, there is no escape. You are doomed to be here for the rest of your mortal life.
text;
I don't age. But hey, if I can't escape neither can any of ya.

And I guess only you can use it, huh?

[Action]
Can I help you?
[Her voice is soft and sweet as she looks down at the girl on her phone.]
[Action]
Jus' lookin' around, I guess. Jus' woke up here not too long ago.
[Action]
Are you hungry? If you just woke up it might be a good idea to eat something.
[At least to stay healthy and keep strength up.]
[Action]
A little... [A lot. But she didn't want to say that.]
[Action]
There is a cafe just around this corner. Would you like to go?
[She pauses.]
It's my treat of course.
[Action]
...Okay. Thanks... um, what's your name?
[Normally she'd be more snarky, more sure of herself... but being a child in an unfamiliar place, she was definitely uneasy. She'd recover soon enough.]
[Action]
[She smiles and begins to lead the way towards the cafe.]

As for how to pass the time... what do you like to do?
no subject
[...Wouldn't hurt to answer the question anyway, though.]
Usually racing. Or working on my kart... or hanging out with my friends.
no subject
Well, you could probably get a job at a race track, maybe? Or start your own. If you're very young there are other kids at the K&H House you might get to know.
no subject
[... Wait.]
Is there a race track here?
[Steering clear of the 'kid' thing for the moment - she doesn't want to be stuck with other kids.]
