OPEN: End Of Year Tournament
WHO: Open!
WHAT: Midboss hosts a tournament to celebrate the end of the year. Food stalls, games, danmaku and fighting. Fun for everyone...at least until Diablo shows up.
WHEN: Monday 29th - Tuesday 30th December
WHERE: Attleton Arena & the surrounding area
WARNINGS: Violence, chaos, fighting, Midboss' ego.
Even with the loss of the oversized statue of himself, Midboss had done his best to prepare Attleton for the tournament ahead. He'd made sure to order plenty of flowers from Terra, and thus roses of many colours lined the main road leading up to Arena.
Stalls had been popping up since the early hours of the morning, and by Monday afternoon, a colourful selection stood along the street - both for party games and street food. It was important to have a variety, even if it gave rise to a rather disorganised mish-mash of activity.
Monday night opened with fireworks, announcing the beginning of an evening Danmaku showcase to warm up the atmosphere. Koishi had been given largely free-reign over the event, for better or for worse.
Drinks and music ran late into Monday night, as the Arena was cleared for people to mingle, with a pop-up bar provided for everyone's enjoyment.
The stalls returned Tuesday lunchtime, with the tournament proper set to run all afternoon and into the evening if need be.
It promised to be an interesting event, and the Guardian could be found flaunting his way around the city right up until the fighting was ready to begin.
[OOC: Here's the Tournament log! I'll put some comments with headers for people to mingle under, but if you want to make your own that's cool too - feel free to organise whatever fights you want, and have fun :)
As per earlier discussions - Koishi will be running Danmaku craziness, and at some point during the tournament Diablo is going to drop in to ruin Midboss' fun, so feel free to give Diablo-mun a poke if you want to get involved.]

Monday Night: Danmaku
Entering: KOISHI
A moment later the little green youkai appeared in the point of origin, holding up her arms and spinning around once, laughing and drifting back in the air, waiting for her opponent to appear.
no subject
And now for something completely different. EX BOSS VS EX BOSS
She flares out her jeweled wings and waits for the start. Besides, this was going to be fun either way!
Im The Announcer for a fun Family Game! It's called Danmaku!
"GREETINGS everyone watching! This is Aya Shameimaru reporting, ah though I guess I'm not doing news, but announcer am I? Well either way, let me introduce our first combatants in this Danmaku! On this side, green, lean, and full of I don't know what, Koishi Komeiji! And the other side, she's blonde, she loves blood, and destruction's her passion, let's hear it for Flandre Scarlet!"
"Now let me go over the rules for those who aren't familiar. Danmaku is a battle of maidens and beauty. The two battlers will fire off bullets of various shapes and sizes in a display of wonderous beauty in which they must try to dodge their opponents bullets in return. It's not as simple as just firing in a straight line, Danmaku encompasses the beauty and soul of the one firing them, a beautiful barrage expresses the beauty of the maiden's inner heart!"
"That said, there are still rules about it. First of all, Danmaku is non-lethal. The worst you'd get is some slight burns and maybe torn clothes. Try to keep it clean girls. Secondly, there are spellcards which are stronger effects that are more closely tied to each girl's personalities. In this instance there shall be three spellcards per girl to use! Spellcards are not only stronger, but can remove the bullets from the opposing maiden's, which makes them a great defensive move too!"
"Once all three cards are used up for each girl, the one who got hit the most loses! Girls do their best now and are preparing. Please wait warmly until it is ready."
(TL/DR: bullets are pretty. Spellcards are powerful. Girls can only use spellcards 3 times. Enjoy pretty firework bullets and their non-lethalness.)
