[MINI EVENT] Fayren Attacked
Who: Open.
What: Big Trouble in Little Fayren.
Where: Fayren.
When: Today. Just after midnight.
Arlen was a known summoner in Fayren. He grew up there and so did his wife Vestele. They'd been friends since childhood and started dating in their teens and marriage happened soon after. Arlen returned home and found a letter stating that Vestele had been kidnapped. And if they wanted to see them again, they needed to follow strict instructions. Enclosed in the letter was a wedding ring that belonged to Vestele, just so he would know that this was no bluff.
He was told not to tell anyone what happened and to be a specific location. If anything out of the ordinary happened, his wife would die. So he arrived at the meeting place and met a man dressed in robes, his face obscured by a hood that he was wearing. Vestele was behind the man, bound and gagged.
Before he knew it, he felt a sharp pain in his neck as an unseen assailant injected him with something. Arlen was told that he had just been injected with a poison just to make sure he cooperated. It would take his life in seventy-two hours, but if he did exactly what they wanted then they would give him the antidote. If not, in seventy two hours, he would die, and at that same time, they would take Vestele’s life as well. Arlen only cared to see Vestele set free, even if his actions led to him being imprisoned, that was fine. Just so long as Vestele was safe.
Fast forward to now, he was attempting to complete his final task. Chalk infused with his magic as well as stolen ingredients that were acquired from a thief was used to scribble intricate markings on surfaces not readily visible by people merely passing by. He could feel the point burning in his body all the while.
This preparation was completed quickly, within half an hour for him as he was well versed in this. These circles served as Point B. And Point A? Well, Point A to all of the circles were located within a monster infested ruin.
He activated the circle he was nearest to and it started a chain reaction. Start points and end points were connected and creatures were teleported into the city. Reanimated Skeletons, Fire Bats, Clockroaches and Giant Boars for good measure. Creatures that ranged from annoying to deadly in the right situation.
He completed his task, now the Hands of Decay needed to uphold their side of the bargain and release Vestele. Arlen fled from Fayren using the teleportation circle that he made to send him to the ruins while the creatures began to attack the city, from there he planned to head to his meeting point. He prayed that Vestele would be safe, and that Fayren wouldn't hate him too much.
[ooc: The TL;DR version, Summoner summons in monsters after 12AM when most people are probably in bed. He’s been blackmailed to do so. There are a large number of monsters roaming around/breaking into house/attacking people. So, mini attack in Fayren. ICly, this will only last for one hour. Probably quite a bit of property damage will happen as a result. You know, with giant boars running around and all.]

"There." She yawned, wobbling a little in her seat. "That should be all of it. Now," she yawned again, "Now we just have to call the city guard."
no subject
"Yeah and after they come we can just head on home."

"You still hanging in there okay? How long did they say they'd need to get here?"

She leaned forward against her knees with a heavy sigh, trying not to think about the one question that kept nagging at her. Was it their fault the people died, because they were too slow. But it couldn't be - that woman was dead a day before they even showed up. But still...

They weren't exactly -quiet- about their arrival either, they came in a team of three along with a horse pulled cart. Two of them went over to check the corpses while the third approached Natsu, looking tired. "Are you two the ones that made the call?" He asked to confirm his guess.
Lucy shifted, coming alert with a stifled yawn. Whoops, professionals are here. "Yea--Yes, we are." Lucy answered, straightening to glance at Natsu, and then past him towards the guards.
The guardsman gave a short nod, "We appreciate your help, but we can take care of things from here."

That said, he bowed to the both of them and turned to join his companions at the cart. Lucy sighed, getting to her feet. "Well, let's get going!" Though she'd be lucky to make it even halfway - now that things were passed off to the authorities, the exhaustion was showing.

"Hop on. I'll get us home faster if you hitch a ride on my back" After all he could sprint down the road with Lucy like that easily.

It doesn't take long for Natsu to simply hop over the gfence surrounding the guild grounds and coming to a halt at last.
