closed to shizuma;
[ It's cold.
The cold is the first thing Reiji notices, because he doesn't remember it being winter, and also because it chills his entire body from the inside. It's not natural at all, a faint realization that is soon confirmed by the fact that this isn't his room at all.
Most people would panic upon being confronted with a panel of some sort of clear plexiglass very close to his face. Reiji does too for about three seconds before his eyes spot some irregularities on the inside of the panel, and a few moments of fumbling later it opens with a soft pneumatic hiss.
The heir sits up, rubbing his eyes to clear them and not recognizing the bay area at all. Half of him suspects it's a dream, but the other half points out that it feels too lucid to be one. He turns to look down, and his still-sluggish mind takes all of three seconds to process what exactly it could have been. ]
Gosh, please don't tell me this is a coffin.
[ Truly, the most witty of comments. ]
a good while later, mass text;
Hello everyone! The name is Suwa Reiji, and I've got a quick question or two.
Is anyone here from Kanagawa Prefecture, or otherwise Japan? I've just arrived here with a friend and we're looking for anyone from the same area. As well as any news or tips you can give us, that would be greatly appreciated too.
I understand that people from all professions come here; could anyone point me to places that could reasonably hire performers or athletes? I'll be keeping an eye out for it myself, but advice would make it a lot easier.
Thanks a bunch!
[ ooc: replies will come from both of them! ]

[ action ]
Reiji would be greeted by that soft smile that the relationer normally wears and his head inclines, eyes slid to a close as his form visibly relaxes along with his facial expression. ]
Reiji-sama, I'm so pleased to see you.
[ It's then that he realizes how cold Reiji must be and he immediately shrugs out of his jacket, resting it on the heir's shoulders. ] Here -- I don't want you to get sick.

Thanks. [ He slips the jacket on, willing himself to not shiver. It works. ] I'd suppose you know where we are?
[ Reiji doesn't look at Shizuma directly, violet eyes scanning their surroundings. One hand pulls his phone out of a pocket - it's still there, something also a pleasant surprise, and he checks the time.
Hm. ]

I glimpsed at the items we were given and this appears to be Genessia.
[ He motions to the box and the pamphlet that were near the heir, shoulders slacking slightly. ]
They gave us a necklace, a device known as a videophone which I believe is similar to our own phones, a pamphlet that describes this place and some red bills which I've assumed are this world's currency. That much I've been able to gather so far.

You know, this sounds exactly like a video game.
[ Not that Reiji had time to spend on these things, but he did dabble in them here and there and these sound awfully like a form of a tutorial. An immersive one.
And you believe all of it?
Reiji doesn't quite, because it's by all technicalities, impossible. ]
no subject
It does, doesn't it?
[ A sigh passes from his lips as he picks up on Reiji's thoughts almost instantly.
I'm sorry, Reiji... I'm honestly trying the best I can given what we were given.
Maybe this was all a really bad dream. ]

[ He takes their mental conversation to a physical level, tapping his chin and looking thoughtful. It's rare that he ever discards his mantle of cheerful nonchalance, but this is one of those moments. ]
I'd suppose this is the best of information we're given. [ It is only now that he notices the same box that had been left in his cocoon (coffin???), and he starts to examine it as he speaks. ] It's better than nothing.
[ And he knows that Shizuma had the tendency to fuss over things a lot more than was healthy, so he quickly adds: ]
At least we're not stranded here by ourselves, we have each other. We'll figure it out somehow.
