Exploration - Genessia part 2

Where: Genessia - Game stores, toy stores, any popular places for children. Name your place.

[Losing a dear friend has been rough on her, and being asked out by a Pokemon didn't do anything for her either. Anastasia was in desperate need to find the good times again. Anything at all that can give her a sense of normalcy from the days before she met Mamoru.

Following on past successes up until Attleton, Anastasia went back out into Genessia city to look for anything that might be fun, with her Sylveon walking close beside her. But her current state of mind prevents her fro recognizing something fun. She had heard of places called "game stores" and "toy stores." She might go to one of these.

Anastasia eventually finds a store, looking up to read the sign.]

"...Is this it...?"

[The closest thing she can think of is a video feed. But otherwise, she had no exposure to television or arcade games thus far. So Anastasia slowly shook her head at Yugi.]

"N-Not really, no..."

Then I guess before I explain video games, I will need to explain that.

[He figured of where exactly to start.]

A television is... well they show pictures that are moving is the best way to say.

"So it is like our communicators? Then what is the difference between television and our communicators?"

It's not in real time. That's the difference. This one television are pre-recorded and usually what is live we cannot simply reply to and they talk back. It's one sided.

"I see... And a video game is like television?"

[sizedoesntmatter]

Yes, but you get to control a character. That is pretty much it.

[innocent_royal]

"Control a character...?"

[She doesn't believe she can really understand this until she sees it for herself.]

"Can you show me a video game when we get to a store?"

[sizedoesntmatter]

If they have one set up, I should be able to, but not all stores do.

[He didn't know which one did that, but he figured one must. He soon pointed out one of the stores before walking toward it.]

[Anastasia would follow close behind, but not too close. She would let Yugi show her what a video game is.]

[As soon as he was in the shop he walked th aisle, trying to remember which one it was. As soon as he found it he stepped over.]

These are what video games look like before you put the disk or whatever into a console.

[Anastasia stopped following and only watched Yugi pick something out off the shelf and bringing it over to show her.]

"A disk, and a console?"

[It was clear such words were new to her.]

Yeah, it's complicated to explain really. But a disk manages to keep a lot of information and data within it, which is what the console reads and is able to process and show it up on a television.

A console is simply something that runs on power for the purpose of playing disks or cartridges depending on the console.

[Anastasia smiles softly.]

"I understand. You're good at explaining things. Is it possible to sample a video game?"

Uh, thanks.

[He gets told that a lot.]

It should be... [He soon stopped on front of one. Thankfully it had been set up with a game already in.]

"Oh, okay..."

[Anastasia examined the set up. Seeing the game menu looked interesting, but she wasn't quite sure what to do or how to start. She made the connection that a controller in front of the system might be related, so she tried pushing buttons. There was a reaction.

She picked up the controller and tested each of the buttons to see what they each do. But she was quickly and easily getting lost on menu changes.]

"There seems to be a lot to do..."

There usually is in the menu and in game you get what is known as side quests to do when not doing the main storyline.

[He figures he is trying his best to explain anyway.]

[Anastasia eventually found her way into a new game, it seems to be an RPG with a story that was quick to interest the girl.

After the intro is done, she was able to move a character around on a overworld. She had a small smile on her face as she moved the character around in random directions.]

"This quite charming."

[At least that is what he figured anyway from her words. With a smile he just kept a watch really.]
