[Today is one of those days, when a new arrival destroys the hologram with fire. ...Seems like she's completely overdoing it and the flames are still there when there's nothing else left. After a moment Cinder turns the device around to show herself with an arrogant smirk on her face. Nope, she's got no reason to hide at this point.]
Well, looks like most things haven't changed here. How very [pause, wait for it~] Disappointing.
[Ah, so not a new arrival then and despite the fire back there, she's calm. What did Weiss do to her? Nothing, but maybe destroying that thing is still much more personal when you come from the same world.]
And she's still saying "this place is fairly safe" even though anyone can wake up here whenever. So consider that when I ask you; do you believe her?
[Fairly safe sounds so boring afteralmost everything back home. Not that Cinder is really complaining about being here, this time the timing was great and there's always the option of making this place less safe. Be prepared?]

What is it going to be, Cinder? Are we going to do this again? Because I will not lose.
[Action]
He is wrong. What she'd get from this is the joy of watching their friends suffer, so it's not like she wouldn't gain anything from this.
Jaune is still an idiot, it seems. Maybe he should listen to others sometimes. Ohh and if she was a mind reader -- he should definitely listen to Cinder explain how Destiny Girl desperately tried to crush the evil witch under all those things back home just to see how Cinder Fall can't be defeated like that. Or actually, he can just hear it from that girl once she knows the full details of that fight. Remember that thought if you ever talk about Cinder's fight against her, Jaune.
Where's that ball as soon as it reaches the area near Cinder? Oh well, you know, fire powers and all. At least she doesn't send anything back.
Instead she just decides to leave after she's done with giving them one more arrogant look for being years too early to this. There's no point for a rematch if anyone asks her and playing with fire against children is over and not even interesting, when they're not ready to fight her.
Maybe you should use Pyrrha's headpiece to make a collar to that blonde, Ozpin. That way you could keep him in a leash.
Seriously though, better keep them far away from her now when she walks away and from now on too, she's not going to leave situations like this often. But this time she walks away about as soon as her heels reach the ground. Don't try to come after her, children, she'll give you no time to regret it.]
[Action]
[He stops struggling with Ren because he's never seen Ozpin this angry. He's also never seen time stop. That's kind of badass. He can't even argue. Vale's damage is still too recent for him to just ignore. He stares dumbly, before his face twists into a glare.]
You couldn't stop her before! No offense Professor, but we're not leaving you here alone!
[Right, Ren? He gets into a defensive position to protect himself and his friend, and...
Cinder's walking away. She's literally leaving like they aren't worth her time and he's furious and still hurting and none of this is fair or okay. He tries to run, his voice laced with desperation, fear.]
We can't let her get away! She'll just catch us off guard later!
[Action]
it's taxing, on his aura, especially after he's already recovering -- but it worked, for whatever reason. cinder is gone, lie and jaune are alive, and so is ozpin. overall, a successful day's work.
but now he has to deal with lie and jaune -- or, really, just jaune, who appears to still be held back by lie, and ozpin draws in a breath before glancing toward them both, his lips pursed into a thin line. ]
You are lucky she did not kill you now.
[ sharply, and he rests his cane back on the ground, shoulders slumping abruptly ]
What chance did you think you had? What purpose did this serve? I understand -- and share -- your pain, but acting so recklessly will only serve to make matters worse. What breeds Grimm? Discontent, hatred, anger -- strike her down now, with those as motivation, and we are no better than she is. We must be patient.
[ and, finally, ozpin quiets before taking a few steps toward them. ]
Did she harm you before I got here? Are you both alright?
[Action]
She can't be anywhere near Pyrrha.
But what makes it worse is, on some level, he knows Ozpin is right. They were lucky. But he feels so powerless to do anything.]
How is killing us now any worse than killing us later when we don't expect it? We don't have time to be patient. You've seen what she can do, what she will do if we don't stop her!
[He glances at Ren. He could really use his teammate's help on this. But the adrenaline doesn't last. He's defeated, and he looks down, his voice drained of emotion.]
I think we're both fine.
[Action]
[ he says it evenly, seemingly satisfied with jaune's assertation that he and ren were fine. ]
The wrong time to make decisions, especially those that can result in life and death, are when you are overcome with emotion. That isn't to say that emotion is a bad thing -- but it can be a driving force in making an incorrect decision, and one that you would regret. I do not want that, for either of you.
[ he pauses before sighing, turning back to look at where cinder walked away, tapping his cane impatiently against the street before speaking again. ]
Lie, I trust you can take Mr. Arc back to your home without incident?
[Action]
Yes, sir. [He looks at Jaune as a "Let's go" signal.]
[Action]
We're not giving up. And I can take myself back home.
[Ozpin you are the second person to make a comment regarding whether or not he should be walking home by himself. Weiss was the first. Even though he's still upset, he nods at Ren. It's not like he's going to leave him here.]
[Action] 1/2
No one said anything about giving up.
[ ozpin is patient. he knows when to make his move, and he knows when not to. and he understands, clearly, how jaune feels -- this is not the first time ozpin has lost someone, and it will certainly not be the last. but they're children -- this is the first experience they've had, with the horrors of war. patience is required, and an understanding that ozpin hasn't had to use in quite some time. ]
She will pay for what she has done, but not at the expense of my students. I will not allow that.
[Action]
... in the meantime, train. Become better -- stronger. More able. Take care of yourselves, and each other.
[ he sounds weary -- he hates giving these orders, and these suggestions. his students aren't supposed to be soldiers. ]
Go home. Rest. And in the morning, begin again. I will contact both of you soon.
[Action]
Re: [Action]
We will get stronger. But we're not resting. [How could they? No one was safe anymore.]
Let's go, Ren. [He starts walking off.]
...Don't do anything dumb like fight Cinder alone, Ozpin.
[Action]
[ underneath his breath, as he watches them walk away -- and only when they're safely out of sight does ozpin allow himself to relax, turning to look at where cinder had walked away.
and then he pulls out his communicator, to quickly text glynda.
this is officially war. ]
