[Well, this was certainly a fine case of deja vu. One minute, he was standing with Nagase at their fallen wingman's grave, the next he was waking up in a pod. A very familiar pod at that. It didn't even need a flip of the pamphlet inside the box for Blaze to put two and two together- he was in this place again.

At least he didn't have the shock of seeing Nova City first this time, and he didn't have to swim out of the Bay. He hung around the hologram to see if there was any new information, but when there wasn't, he clicked on the videophone - which he takes immediate notice that it was upgraded in his absence. Returning to this place and recognizing it felt so odd, it almost felt like he was dreaming.]

This is Blaze of Osea's 108th Tactical Fighter Squadron- [He pauses a moment, realizing that he was repeating himself from last time. Whoops.]

Never thought I'd be saying "I'm back" at a place that isn't home. If possible, I'd like to request a sitrep on what's happened since I was gone. If memory serves, I was here in... May.

[Hey, check it out- someone who left the hologram alone upon arriving! He salutes then to end the feed and lets out a quiet sigh. He'll need to search for a job and a home again. So much for a trip to Gran Rugido.]

You were here before? I didn't know that that was a thing.

[Her tone is light but curious as she answers the phone.]

Oh... Sorry. I'm Airy. Is Blaze your real name?

[Asked by the person who calls themselves Airy.]

I didn't know it was a thing either. It's a little disconcerting.

['A little' is putting it lightly. Especially since given his time at home, it didn't seem like he was ever in Genessia at all the first time.]

No. It's my TAC name, but I do prefer going by it.

[It's got an odd sense of sentimental value, in a way. Same with "Kid", but... he won't go into that one for various reasons.]

TAC? What's what?

[It sounds like a military term.]

[Whoops. Way to go, Blaze, your pilot is showing. He really should probably drop the military terms.]

Tactical Air Command. It was my nickname in the skies.

[Airy laughs softly.]

Oh. That makes a little bit more sense. I honestly just arrived, did you like it here before?

[She has no idea what it's like.]

Oh.. You don't have to answer that. Sometimes I ask to many questions.

Yes. It was nice from what I can remember.

[He smiles a bit awkwardly.]

The transition of coming here was more bearable. Nova City was the first thing I saw the last time.

[That sure was weird. Speaking of weird, he also remembers nearly getting beamed in the head by the paper boy.]

Nova City... I don't think I've been there yet. Genessia's the closest to New York City.

[She hums softly before continuing.]

There isn't anywhere here like the small town I come from.

[He'd never heard of that city, but he could chalk it up to the 'different worlds' thing Genessia had going on.]

It does remind me a little of Bana City.

[Although the memories that came with thoughts of Bana City were a little unwelcome.]

Have you been to Attleton?

Nope.

[She's quick to answer.]

I really haven't explored that much. Anything... I haven't explored anything.

[She did say she just arrived, so that wasn't surprising. He's a little lucky that he has prior knowledge, in that regard.]

Attleton might be closer to what you're used to. It's much smaller than Genessia City.

[Really, he's surprised he remembers this much. Although he did have to remember every minute detail for just about everything in the military, so maybe it wasn't really that surprising at all.]

Really? I'll have to check it out. [Though she doesn't know if she wants to be reminded of home considering she had run away from home. She's at least a little bit curious.]

Where are you from?

Osea. I was born in the nation's capital city, Oured.

[He was pretty used to cities just based on that, but that city life is probably what made him enjoy his time at Sand Island so much... well, up until the whole mess started by Hamilton. He sounds a little uncomfortable then, probably because the realization of what he was about to say was just... weird.]

I've... found that no one that I met here before knew of the Osean Federation.

I haven't either.

[She winces.]

Sorry, hey! Since I have you, I have a question.

[There is a slight rustle before she speaks again.]

Is there a beach anywhere here?

[He pauses while he thinks, not sure if he should say 'yes' or 'no' here. But. Well. In truth...]

I'm not sure. That's one thing I never thought to look for.

It's on the to look for list then.

[That and a few random stores that Airy will miss if they aren't in this world too. As it is she is finally able to charge her phone from home which just means she has access to her music. She'd probably go crazy without it.]

I'm sorry. I'm asking you all these questions when you just got here.

[And now she feels like a jerk.]

No, it's fine.

[He sounds reassuring as possible, he really doesn't mind.]

I don't know too much about this world. My initial stay wasn't very long.

I guess we can't control that... huh?

[Airy's sorta starting to like it here.]

No. But I still wonder how it all works- how it chooses who stays and who goes.

[It didn't really make any sense. He couldn't even begin to fathom what even causes it, and every answer he'd think of would just sound like it comes straight out of a science fiction novel.

Well... I hope it lets me stay here for a least a little bit.

[She honestly likes having the time to sort out her thoughts.]

[Honestly, he's not entirely sure how to respond to her with that. If only because it sounds awkward to hope for someone that they get to stay kidnapped longer. So he'll just go a different route with it!]

Are you liking it here?

So far it isn't bad.

[She smiles.]

I even met someone who knows me. He's really nice.

[Blaze was a little thankful that video was off since he cracked a small, but pained smile. He couldn't help but feel a little envious. He does try to hide it in his voice.]

It's good that you have a companion. That helps make things a lot easier.

Yeah though I don't remember him... it's a little awkward.

[Because he knows her favorite food and weird things like that.]

[He seems briefly puzzled, not really directing his next question at her and more just wondering aloud.]

Can this place take people from different times?

[It was an odd thought for sure. He stays silent for a moment, his mind wandering off over the idea of one of his wingmen arriving. If the place could possibly pluck people from different times, then maybe... ...

Blaze catches himself in his thoughts and quickly shakes his head, trying his best to ignore the pain his chest while carrying on like nothing happened.]

I can imagine how that'd be strange.

[Airy can't say no, this place doesn't do that, because it has. She's happy that it hadn't been as awkward as it could have been but it's still an odd sort of situation.]

You okay?

[He gets a little startled by the question. He hadn't realized he'd gotten wrapped into his thoughts long enough for her to notice.]

Ah- yes, I'm fine. My mind went elsewhere for a minute.

[Airy hums softly.]

Okay.

[She doesn't completely believe him but she isn't going to push the matter. They've only really just met... it's probably all in her head anyway.]

I guess I should probably be going anyway. It's been really fun talking to you thought.

[A bright eyed girl answers his inquiry.]

You were here back in may? I've been here for a little over six months so it seems that I've missed you.

[She smiles.]

It's the end of February now so it's been awhile.

Welcome back.

[He seems a little surprised there.]

February? It's been eight months here?

[It hadn't been nearly that long at home. The times just didn't add up- his life went uninterrupted at home. Genessia really was a weird place. Still, he manages an uneasy smile. He's not sure he's happy to be back.]

Thank you. Has anything major happened that I should know about?

[Levy thinks about it for a moment.]

A few things have happened... There are a few things happening now too.

[She signs and tries to remember everything.]

People were looking for shards. There is some problems in Fayren and... I guess there is a lot going on...

[He's not sure what she means by 'shards' but he doesn't really want to overload her with questions. His brow furrows at the mention of Fayren though.]

Problems in Fayren? What's going on?

Well... there is a group called The Hands of Decay. They are looking to kill all wizards in Fayren.

[Which includes her and most of her friends.]

There doesn't seem to be a reason and they've pulled a lot of innocent people into it.

[And, cue frown and serious face. He does not like the sounds of that, and he seems especially upset at the mention of innocents being involved. He's had more than his share of knowing civilians were involved in conflicts they had no part in.]

And they don't have a motive? [He's gonna assume it's got roots in bigotry or so-called 'inequality'.]

Has anyone been hurt?

They are just cruel.

[Levy almost spits the words.]

Yes... we are trying to help with relief efforts.

[Cruel was likely the best way to put it. And needless to say, Blaze hated it.]

Is there any way I can help?

[He's no mage, but he hopes he'd be able to do something.]

[Levy nods.]

There are relief efforts, donating money or volunteering. Lu-chan.. um... Lucy, she's been in charge of it.

There isn't much I can do about donations right now, but I'll be happy to volunteer and aid in relief efforts.

[Once he has a job though, he'll be happy to donate too. He just has to get himself settled in first.]

Just head towards the Fairy Tail, that's the main center of the efforts.

[Levy smiles.]

It's a large building in Fayren, it's very hard to miss.

I'll be certain to head that way once I get my bearings. You said the woman in charge is named Lucy?

[He's just double checking so he can be respectful.]

I'll make sure to tell her you sent me that way. What's your name?

I'm Levy and yeah, you can tell her I sent you.

[Smile smile.]

[He manages a smile in return.]

It's nice to meet you, Levy.

[You know, regardless of the whole discussion of anti-mage jerkasses just a little bit ago.]

[She smiles brightly.]

And I'm always around to help. I can't wait to see you stop by my store.

[She has a store? Well, now he may make himself obligated to stop by.]

Is it in Fayren as well?

Yes.

[She beams.]
