[With two accusations of murderers appearing, the public announcement of "Right vs Wrong" as far as those weird 'Remnant' people were concerned, all the Hands of Decay talk, some monster threatening fire and brimstone... Jesus, Pixy could make a drinking game out of this. When he appears on the feed, Pixy still looks bored, idling glancing through a book on military aircraft with an F-35 Lightning II prominently on the cover.]

Hasn't this place gotten exciting. I wonder what kind of bad news is gonna come up on the feed next? Maybe an organization bent on removing the city archways and removing the Guardians from power will come up to unite the place.

[Those words are just dripping with sarcasm. Honestly, he's not taking any of it seriously at all - especially given the fact that he was alluding to his former organization from home with that joke hypothetical scenario. Either way, what other people do is their business, and he's not about to get involved if he doesn't have to.]

Alright, so I've got a couple questions on my mind. I've seen that Nova City's got airports, but a distinct lack of aircraft. Is there even a way to get a jet here? Because hell, what's the point of even havin' air fields if there's nothing to land?

[He admits, he's missing the sky a little. He'd love to be in an F-15 again, especially without the idea of opening a subarchway. Hell, he wouldn't even know where to open one to. Valais Air Base was... not exactly a place he'd want to see again anytime soon.]

Hey, I've got a question for you if you're not busy.

[Balthier is languidly reclining on his sofa when he enables the video feed.]

I'm afraid not. The barriers are too low to make air travel viable.

[He looks a little thoughtful.]

It does beg the question, though: which came first? The airstrips or the barriers. I believe the answer is obvious.

The mystery continues, huh.

[He just says that dryly with a frown. At least he chalk up his chances to being airborne again to unlikely and busted.]

Guess hopin' to fly again without having to worry about a subarchway was too much. Can't say I'm too surprised.

[Annoyed? Yes. Surprised? Not in the slightest.]

Lamentable, but a pain we share, it would seem.

[He inclines his head as though in greeting.]

Balthier.

Another pilot, huh? Seems we're few and far between.

[He returns the nod.]

Pixy. I've seen you around Sunfire, haven't I?

[He never really mingled with the coworkers, but he does recognize him somewhat.]

Indeed, and you have. [As had he, but Balthier is much the same.] A shame, really. I miss my ship. [He admits it with a slight note of sadness in his voice.]

[It was almost weird how pretty much every employee at Sunfire didn't really associate with each other. But really, that probably just made their jobs easier. Pixy scoffs.]

I can relate. It almost doesn't feel right, leaving my Eagle behind.

[He brought it upon himself regardless, but the feeling was still mildly present.]

Too bad subarchways are really the only way to remedy it.

[In Balthier's case, it was more that he simply detested the idea of having a job, but that it was a necessary evil, given his preferred profession was out of the question.]

...the idea of the Strahl in anyone else's hands...

[He lets the rest of that statement hang in the air.]

...alas, the only chance would be to bring an entire world into an archway.

[That's the tone of a man protective of his ship. Not that Pixy can blame him. He had to leave his F-15 behind in favor of taking the ADFX-02 into battle... yeah probably the biggest mistake of his life right there.]

Hard to determine whether those archways are worth the asking price. I don't particularly care for being grounded, but I don't care to give up something to fly again.

[The man nods, his expression uncharacteristically serious.]

Indeed. I'd very much like to taste the sky again, but some things are more precious than flight.

[She decided to stick with her Aurora disguise for the time being. Play up the sweet and innocent self, even if she hated it most of the time. But it kept suspicion away from her if she ever were to do anything.]

I've seen what has been happening and it's scary. But how exactly is having the means of flight a good thing around here? I mean it's rare people can fly as far as I am aware and it's not like it can go anywhere either, s there isn't much of a point to it.

It's more just for the sake of bein' in the sky again than a way of travel. Plenty of pilots don't really like being grounded after a while.

[Really, given what happened the last time he flew, he probably shouldn't even be thinking about it... but given that his former flight lead wasn't here, he couldn't really stop the thoughts from getting into his head once in a while here.]

So I assume your a pilot that just wants to be in the sky but won't be able to unless, of course you make your own plane?

[She was pretty sure that pilots aren't engineers though.]

Nice goin', Sherlock. You able to figure that out all on your own?

[He had enough engineering knowledge to maintain his F-15, but he'd be the first to admit that he can't build one.]

For all I know there are actually really smart pilots who can. Just not staring at one.

Maybe there's one in some other reality, otherwise you need a team of engineers to build an aircraft. If I met a pilot who was capable of building his aircraft, I'd personally buy that guy a drink.

The hopefully well find someone like that in the future. After all we get all types here.

I'm actually enjoying all this excitement. Makes the place more fun.

Guess some people can get entertainment out of it. I'm just waiting for the inevitable straw that breaks the camel's back and everything goes to Hell.

[He's seen it before, and he sure as hell is expecting it now.]

I'm waiting for it to. I wonder what will happen for that. Maybe more death? That always sets people off.

Given that 'murder' seems to be the only threat getting thrown around by several parties, that seems to be the most likely. These guys need a new trick. That one's gettin' old.

[Sure, despite his whole thing of almost killing thousands of people himself, it doesn't really mean he wants it to happen here. He's still judging them all though.]

Old, but a classic. At least for those who enjoy that kind of thing.

But I guess for some they just don't know how to change it up.

[You'd have to remove his helmet without waking him, first. Be glad he never got around to installing motion trackers.]

[Troy was in the middle of the road in Nova City's underlevels when he got the ping from Pixy. His communicator was on the dashboard of his motorcycle, with the camera pointing at his armor-covered face. As soon as he stopped at the red light, his mask disassembles and slides back. After that, he answered]

I can multi-task. What's up?

[Look at him, hard at work being all Robocop]

[He can't help but quirk an eyebrow.]

Geez. Don't you ever sleep?

[He's starting to think you're married to your job there, Troy.]

Even I'll admit the situations coming up over the networks are a little concerning. I'm wonderin' if we can up the training exercises, maybe get some weaponry involved.

[He's not looking for weapon handouts certainly, but he does want to be a little more prepared about the whole mess going on in... just about everywhere. Probably to cover his own skin mostly.]

[Troy shrugged, flashing his teeth briefly in a proud grin at Pixy's comment. He is married to the job, that's true. Also the fact that he only gets 4 hours of sleep every night. But that's all his enhanced body really needs. To him, that's as good an amount as 9 hours to a normal person]

I can't say I blame ya for wanting to move up a notch too soon.

[Troy takes a few seconds to think of what he can offer]

Your empty-hands and weapon handling are getting better. So I guess there's not much harm if we speed things up just a tad. The recent goings-on had me a little concerned too. With these nerds from Remnant suddenly flooding the place and bringing their shit here. I'll get things set up and give you a shout when things are ready.

[He's still in the process of tidying up his "base" in Nova City with Athrun. While he can't build a holodeck of his own here without some serious help, he can probably take Pixy to the one in Dubai]

I obviously need to explore the non-Genessia cities more.

[ In fairness to her, she'd been trying to stay out of trouble. It seems like most of that happens in the archways. ]
