We're Going to Disney!

Who: Yukiko, Levy, Balthier, David, Porrim and Liv
What: Going to the Tokyo Sub Archway for a day of fun~
When: February 28th
Where: Tokyo Sub Archway
Warnings: So far, nothing.

[Yukiko had made sure that someone was taking good care of her inn before she finally headed off toward the Tokyo Subarchway. She had hoped to be the first one there at least and she knew they had to be there early so they could have breakfast before having fun.

With her bag at her side it was over an hour before she found herself standing right by it. All she had to do now was wait for the others to arrive.]

[OOC: The first thread (The one Levy-mun started) will be the meeting and breakfast thread. After that anyone can add a tag for something new since not everyone will want to do the same thing.]

[Levy shows up in a bright orange dress with a warm smile on her lips. She's more than just a little bit excited. She has a small bag strapped to her back and for once the mage seems devoid of books.]

Yukiko!

[She calls with a smile noting that she doesn't see the others.]

[ Porrim arrives in a semi-timely fashion in a lovely yellow number with matching handbag. ]

[Balthier arrives, dressed smartly as usual, though in a style of dress not like his norm. He really didn't know anything about this "Tokyo", but he loved seeing new places, which is why he showed up, quite happily to the company of beautiful women.]

Good morning, all.

[ Liv is definitely nowhere near as peppily dressed as the others. When she sees the others, she raises her eyebrows. ]

Sorry I couldn't dress nicer, my roommate might've figured it out.

[ She's kidding, mostly. Her outfit consists of a blue shirt and pants with a slightly darker gray open sweater. ...But her roommate not coming is very much not a joke. ]

So are we all ready to go?

[Show of hands, who is used to David popping in via telporting? Because he seems like he just appeared out of nowhere. He thought he was pretty nicely dressed for the out. Not that there was any dress code memo sent out or anything.]

Oh!

[Yukiko just wore what she normally did. Red casual dress for the most part. But never the less everyone was here, which time it was time to go.]

Alright, everyone is here so lets go.

[She even knew where they were going for the most part as she started to walk though the subarchway.]

[Levy almost starts laughing when David shows up. She's gotten very used to him doing that but that doesn't mean he can't surprise her. She's growing more excited with each addition to their group and once Yukiko says they're all here she almost skips with excitement.]

Yes! Where to first?

[She smiles at Balthier, Porrim and Liv. Everyone here is someone she knows and considers a very good friend which means that this trip is going to be awesome.]

I think you look lovely, Liv. I'd love to know where you got that shirt, actually.

[ Porrim really should be used to people popping in and out, but it does get a surprised step back. ]

Hello, David, right? We've talked a few times but I don't think we've ever officially met. I'm Porrim.

[ Porrim also greets Yukiko warmly, she remembers her from Levy's christmas party. Balthier gets a smile and a wave too. ]

[Balthier certainly has no issue being surrounded by such beautiful women, but he finds himself glad to see there's another man along for the ride.

He nods to each of the ladies in turn.]

It is, indeed, a pleasure to see all of you, and meet those I have not.

[He extends a hand to David Haller.] And you must be David Haller, Guardian of Genessia City I believe. I'm Balthier.

My shirt- oh, thanks. It was some little shop in Attleton, I'll show you sometime.

[ Liv already knew literally everyone here so she just sort of stood aside and waited for everyone to get used to each other, checking her device before responding to Levy. ]

First breakfast because Disney prices are ridiculous so we'll starve all day if we have to buy anything there.

I remember you, Porrim. It's a pleasure to actually meet you in person. [He shifts his focus to Balthier.]

That would be me. It's a pleasure go meet you, Balthier. [He reaches out and takes his hand and shakes it.]

[Clapping her hands together Yukiko turned on her heels. She was going to make sure she would lead the way as best as she physically could. At least to get food first she was, only they got to the park after she knew it would be anyone can go anywhere.]

Alrighty, introductions done. Time to get food, so follow me.

[She was already walking for the moment,hoping that the others would be following. The place wasn't far so she knew it wouldn't take very long.]

[Levy smiles at everyone and the follows behind Yukiko. She's happy to finally eat something considering she had skipped breakfast.

She moves next to Porrim and Liv.] How are you guys doing?

[She pauses in her question and looks over at David quickly.] Sorry about leaving before you this morning. [She assumed he was going to teleport and she wanted to swing by the bookshop before arriving.]

And you. [Balthier nods to the man before turning his attention to the group. This sort of outing was far outside his realm of experience, but he was good at rolling with the punches.]

Are prices at this carnival really so spectacular?

Prices at Troll Disneyland were always on the steep side. They kind of bank on the idea that people will be looser with their allowances when going on vacation.

[ Yes, that is just Disneyland but with Troll slapped in the front. It was invented by Troll Walt Disney. His first movie was Troll Snow White and the Seven Lowbloods. Porrim has fond memories of the movie, but is critical of their castist overtones.

She turns to Levy. ]

Well! The inn is coming along. [ She leans in and lowers her voice. ] I've actually been meaning to ask... Are you and David...?

Established theme parks are a little bigger than carnivals too, and Disney parks are easily the most popular ones.

[ At least the restaurant they were eating at wouldn't be too far. A diner-style restaurant meant there were lots of different options too. Liv looks over at Yukiko. ]

Just around this corner, right?

I'm going to need you to elaborate on Troll Disneyland at some point, Porrim. [That was just too strange and interesting of a subject to just toss away. Was there a Troll Mickey Mouse? Troll Donald Duck? There was so many unanswered questions right now.]

This will be my first time going to any sort of Disney park. With as long as this Sub Archway has been here, I should've come sooner.

It should be, yes.

[Just as she said that, they were pretty much at the corner, turning around it.]

Alright, this is where we will eat. I best go check to see if the table is actually ready, so talk amongst yourselves for the moment.

[And off she goes to talk to the waiter.]

[Levy just stares at Porrim with an expression that suggested that she isn't answering Porrim's question.]

I'm more interested about Troll Disneyland too. [She smiles and then looks ahead to where they will be eating. It looks like a nice place and upon smelling food her stomach grumbles angrily.]

[Looking around at the collected faces, most curiously looking to Porrim, the sky pirate nodded in agreement to Levy's statement.]

Indeed, I believe we all are. [Not that Disneyland meant anything to him in it's own right, Troll Disneyland didn't either. Both were equally intriguing as it were.

He did take note of the building they approached, and of the scents emanating from it, making him realize he was, in fact, every hungry.]

[ The place looks charming, but Porrim isn't gonna let Levy dodge her so fast.

She makes a point of guiding Levy to take a seat right next to David, and taking the seat on the other side, and watching how Levy reacts. ]

Let me find out more about this Disneyland so I can properly contrast!

[ Liv raises an eyebrow at Porrim's maneuvering, but doesn't speak up. On the other side of the table, Liv sits down at the end of the table, leaving Balthier and Yukiko to choose who wants to sit to in the middle. ]

We're always surrounded by all of these things beyond our imagination and we still decide to stick around what's familiar to us. Sounds like all of us need to visit more places like Disneyland. Or Troll Disneyland if that place ever pops up once Porrim's verdict is out.

[ Liv smiles and folds her napkin onto her lap as she settles in. ]

[David doesn't seem to notice any maneuvering after he's taken his seat. Not that he would say anything even if he did notice.]

That doesn't sound like that bad of an idea. If this outing does go well, I say we should try to make a habit of it. [Even if it was just going to the movies. Or return trips to Disney.]

[Yukiko took the seat in the middle for the time being while everyone else had been taking there places before she started to pass out the menus of what they had to offer, looking at her own for the moment.]

I would quite like that. More outings if they work out, I mean.

[Levy flashes Porrim an expression that begs she stop. They're all here to have fun which is what Levy hopes to do. Like Live she places her napkin on her lap, taking care to unfold it before glancing at the menu.]

Agreed, we all need to take a break sometime. [This comment is mostly for David and Yukiko because it always seems like the pair is constantly working. Everyone should have fun from time to time.]

So what's Disneyland like?

[She actually doesn't know.]

[So far, Balthier was enjoying himself, and he had to admit, he was in agreement of the general consensus as well. It certainly wasn't high-flying adventure, but it was nice.]

I agree with the sentiment, and Levy's question. What is Disneyland, precisely?

[ How could this result in anything less than fun Levy??

Porrim also reads over the menu. Human food was so complicated! So many combined ingredients. ]

What are you getting, Levy?

I've never been to the Tokyo one, but there are a couple in America. Fun rides, fun food, lots of shows to see and things to do. The last time I went was a little kid.

[ Before she turned into a hyper-intensive student who believed hobbies were for children and old people. Which thankfully stopped after she died but Disneyland wasn't on her priorities list. ]

What Liv said. Minus the going when I was a kid. My mom was the Ambassador to the UK when I was young, so I never had much time to go to places like that. [Even before all the unpleasantness in his life.]

But people are always saying you have to go at least once in your life. They make it sound like the most magical place in the world.

I've not been to Tokyo's one either, but I have heard of it being really fun.

[She was actually looking forward to it as she glanced at the menu for a moment. She was trying to see what the healthiest breakfast option would be personally.]

If people are ready to order now will be the best time since I'm calling the waitress over.

[Levy turns to Porrim with a smile.] I'm just getting a sandwich.

[She then listens to Liv's, David's and Yukiko's account of Disneyland. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't excited. Levy looks over at Balther and smiles.]

Sounds exciting doesn't it.

[The most magical place in the world.]

[Coming from a world of magic, he wonders precisely how "magical" they're talking, but he listens nonetheless. It also sounds like a place for children.]

I've decided, yes. I wonder what we should expect.

[ Once they've all ordered- ]

So! Is there a plan of attack? Or will we be wandering aimlessly and following whatever catches our fancy?

[ Liv orders a chile rellenos strata with a special request for extra peppers chopped up and thrown in, just whatever they have, and an extra bottle of hot sauce and do they have sriracha? Yes, then that too. And leave the seeds in the peppers, don't rinse them out. ]

I think the "magical place" is actually one of the taglines. Whatever we end up doing, just no one let me near the gift shop because I will absolutely spend all my money.

[ That's.. not entirely her fault though. Shop-o-holic brain was the safest one she had around and she ate it this morning to make sure that she didn't get hungry for more than normal food at any point through the day. There was a pointed look in David's direction since he was the only one who would know that she genuinely wouldn't be able to control herself, but she was hoping the general warning would help. ]

[He orders whatever the house special happens to be today. He wasn't picky.]

I think we can keep you are from a gift shop if you feel like being a shopaholic today. Though we should all probably leave with one thing.

[When the waitress came on over, Yukiko smiled slightly as she ordered her meal, keeping it light but simple at least..]

Yeah if your worried about buying too much, I'm sure we can help so that doesn't happen.

[Levy laughs softly, her hazel gaze looking over at Liv.]

I'll probably have a similar problem.

[Though she doesn't know what sort of things they might have.]

It's exciting though. I can't wait to see everything that they have. [Besides books because those are difficult to carry around when you're at a park all day.]

[The idea of an amusement park centered around magic was strange to Balthier, probably because of how common magic was in his own world. There was simply no novelty in it.]

Very well, then. I believe we're all agreed, we should guard Liv's pockets.
