Out and about
Who: Asui Tsuyu and you
What: Tsuyu explores her new home
Where: Every gosh darn city in this game
When: Shortly after her arrival to the RP
Warnings: None as of yet.
Tsuyu explored Genessia and all it's surrounding suburbs. If she was going to be stuck here (and that seemed to be the case), she might as well be stuck in a place she knew.
In Nova city, she got confused for an alien. She looked human enough, but something about her eyes and her over all body proportions was slightly off. The combination of her slightly hunched posture, pale skin, and bulging eyes made it impossible to look at her and not think of a giant frog. Also there was something seriously weird about her tongue, which frequently ended up poking out of the corner of her mouth when she wasn't paying attention and was FAR longer than any normal person's had any right to be. But despite the flying cars and strange people, this weirdly reminded her of home. Perhaps BECAUSE of the strange people. She had never met an alien, but some people's quirks back home made them look even stranger.
In Genessia, she bought some clothes. All she had on her was her superhero suit, which was basically a sturdy but skintight, black and green wetsuit, and that was hardly appropriate for a casual, day-to-day look. When she moved on, she was wearing a button up shirt, knee length skirt, cheap tennis shoes, and a backpack containing her super suit and a few miscellaneous extras.
In Attleton, she was mainly bored. She had grown up in a sleepy suburb like this, and moving to the city for school had been much much better. She did not dawdle long here.
In Everglade, she stood out merely from not looking as nervous as the locals. The damp appealed to her, and she wasn't terribly afraid of these so called ghouls and ghosts everyone was nervous about. She eventually ended up in The Rabbit's Foot, where she looked extremely dubiously at the sacred salt and holy water. Giving how weird things had been since she had arrived here, she was prepared to accept that maybe there were such a thing as vampires, but it still was hard to treat them as a real and credible threat. On top of that she was pretty confident in her ability to at least escape from any serious threat. She politely but firmly declined to buy anything and left just as the sun was getting low.
In Fayren she seriously looked like like a lost and confused tourist. This whole town was like a giant renaissance fair! She half expected that she would turn a corner and catch people not being in character but it all looked like this was actually how they lived here. Eventually, she had to see about getting a meal, and the Drunken Monkey had delicious smells coming out of it.
Armed with some chewy flatbread, a bowl of soup, and a mug of something that was PROBABLY mildly alcoholic, Tsuyu felt much more able to deal with the world. As she ate, she went over the information in the pamphlet in more detail, then counted out her initial stipend. That would probably last her a bit over a week. Maybe a bit past two weeks if she was careful, but any longer and she'd have to figure out how to make some money on her own. That meant getting a job. More pressing was probably finding a place to live, unless she wanted to live in a hotel for a week. Maybe she could find someone who wasn't super creepy to be her roommate...
As the long day ends, Tsuyu can be found lost in thought and munching on her meal in a relatively secluded corner of the Drunken Monkey.

As the long day ends, Tsuyu can be found lost in thought and munching on her meal in a relatively secluded corner of the Drunken Monkey.

Fayren
In fact, a rather cheerful red-headed teen was carrying a cloth bag filled with fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, and cheese, as well as a fish wrapped in paper when she stopped in the Drunken Monkey for a drink. Maybe it would have been smarter to drop her things off at her room first, but she didn't care. There was something missing, of course, but she could at least make the most of this for the time being.
The girl in the corner caught Adela's attention, if only because she looked different than most other patrons. She wasn't used to doing so if it wasn't a customer and without her uncle there... But she could try to talk to more of the locals, right? How else would she get better established?
"Hello," She greeted softly (and almost hesitantly), only spotting the pamphlets when she got close. Was this person new too? Maybe she could help with that too.
no subject
Ah, just someone saying hello. She looked friendly enough. Tsuyu nodded to her.
"Hello."
no subject
She took a seat at the next table over, close enough to talk but not enough to invade Tsuyu's space. Maybe striking up a conversation would be easier than she thought, if only because before it had felt like everyone else was more experienced than her and she was completely in the dark.

"Yes, you could say that. Yesterday I was getting ready for a camping trip. Today I am in another dimension. I don't like it."
After a moment's consideration, she added on "The soup is pretty good, though."
no subject
A beat, and she added, "But you are right, the food is good. I admittedly am not used to buying food from market every day, but it is not exactly an unwelcome change of pace."
no subject
"Not the marketplace thing, though. No way I'm staying here; I'd miss electricity too much."
no subject
"I suppose it is not for everyone... I find myself most comfortable here, as it is the most familiar. It even has the ocean near, though I fear that may also make me quite homesick."
"Forgive me for not saying sooner. My name is Adela, and it is good to meet you."
no subject
"I'm Asui Tsuyu. I'm the kind of person who always says what's on her mind."
no subject
"So electricity is what lights the torches in the other cities, rather than fire? I had not known such a thing existed... Is that all it is used for?"

Genessia
Giving a small sigh, she had left her place of work and had started to make her way back before turning the corner, only to bump into some rather shady people. Looking around they had started to close in on her. Unsure as to if any not natives where around, she made sure to keep up the act.
"Is anyone here to help me?"
no subject
One of the unsavory types raised a hand, but found that he couldn't bring it back down, and that it was stuck to something gross. Some sort of sticky mass, which was attached by what looked unnervingly like a long tongue that stretched upwards at least ten feet where it...emerged from Tsuyu's mouth? It WAS her tongue! Also odd was that she was hanging from a flat wall ten feet up like she was Spider-Man.
"I feel like I'm supposed to have some kind of witty one-liner here, but I'm kinda new at this so I hope you're okay with skipping straight to the bit where I beat you all up."
How does she talk intelligibly with her tongue sticking out like that? Years of practice. That's how.
no subject
"Ah! Okay, I don't know who you are but, thanks." However as she spoke the other was trying to get the tongue off of him and instead of just pulling decided to try and swing them instead.
no subject
There was some violence. Thouugh Tsuyu's quirk didn't give her a lot of offensive power, her battle experience, jumping ability, and tongue attacks ultimately won out against the muggers' numbers.
no subject
"Uh... thank you. I guess." While she didn't appreciate it, she was in her supposed weaker form and thus had to act like it.
no subject
There was something vaguely off about this, but she couldn't put her finger on what so she just put it down to being keyed up from the fight.
no subject
She had just been on her way home from work and all, so it really had not been something she expected. For once there was some truth to her words.
Nova City
That, or... "Or a lizard, maybe?"
no subject
"No, I'm a human. Frogs are much smaller."
There, any POSSIBLE confusion was laid to rest.

"I don't have superpowers. Just some weird quirks."
no subject
That did raise some interesting inquiries though. From the way it sounded, it was a world that embodied the idea of 'everyone is special, meaning no one was'. Even the name 'quirk' seemed to trivialize the changes she had, normalizing them. Everyone had their quirks, so no one was special for them. At least, if the case was that everyone DID have quirks. If they were just calling them quirks well, to be... quirky, well, that'd be a whole different basket of eggs.
...Though, if everyone was super, it technically wasn't a superpower, huh?
"A-at any rate. Welcome to Genessia. It's... mostly peaceful here, but we just got a big influx of trouble-making newcomers, so you might find work here yet. The City Guardians often outsource and recruit capable fighters to defend the cities."
no subject
She would get to the rest of that just as soon as she figured out who this guy was and how he knew so much about her.
no subject
"If that was just jumping to conclusions, sorry. I usually trust my senses on these kinds of things though." He explained, feeling kind of rude now. He probably came off like he knew more about her world than he did- when really, he was just leaping to conclusions. "Like how I assumed you were a hero based onto your outfit- I'm super into cape-type heroes and the like, so between your body and the outfit I was like, 'hey, a superhero'? Sorry." He bowed his head a bit as he apologized.
no subject
She sighed. How was she supposed to maintain anything resembling a secret identity against that?
"No sense denying it after you've seen through me like that. I'm not a super hero, but I am a super hero in training."
no subject
"But in training is good too. It means you've got the heart to go in the right direction, and that'll take you places." He smiled, though he still a little bad. Way to go Allen, your hero idolizing just outed this girl. "Sorry for being so forward. I got over-excited. I thought it was pretty neat a proper superhero showed up here and I just started blurting things out."
