Alright, listen up. Whatever chump tossed me in this place--and I got a goooood, long list o' suspects--I'm gonna find you.

[he pulls the phone back JUST to jab a metal finger at the screen]

An' then I'm gonna kick your ass!

To everyone else--[he shoots off a half-assed, two-fingered wave] Hey. I'm Edward Elric, an' I guess I'm stuck with you for now. Looks like I'll be lookin' for another group t' sell myself to, so if you need an alchemist, lemme know.

[he stares down the camera like he's got an entire raging rant coming...then wilts with a sigh. a hand goes to his head, and he mutters:] Dammit, this blows. Talk about shit timing.

[a 5"5' kid in black stomps through the streets, exploring like he owns the place. his clothes are covered in dirt, and his face is bleeding. he looks like he just scraped by a serious fight, and his right metal prosthetic is clear as day. he's serious, he's determined, he looks like a hobo, and he's READY TO GET STARTED on taking down this world!

Ed heads straight toward the library--only to be escorted away by a few very nice adult NPCs]

Oh, kid, you're so beat up! You must be famished. Come on. The Kusanagi and Haller Home for Children will take good care of you. They house lost kids all the time!

[Ed snaps. he flails at the crowd of fake adults and erupts] I'M NOT A LITTLE KID!!!!!

[Mikasa being around the Bay isn't exactly strange. She's patrols diligently through Genessia City after all and just makes it a point to check the Bay every so often just in case someone she knows comes by.]

[he lifts a curious brow at the gear, then lifts his eyes to hers]

Yeah, well. Maybe me bein' around will move things along. [he slips his flesh hand into a pocket] Any hints at all?

[Rikku may or may not be out fulfilling her pockets right now. Hearing the commotion, she couldn't help but check it out. She was all for taking advantage of the commotion, but the metal arm takes her interest away from that for the time being.]

[Interesting... How would that even work anyways? Sure Rikku makes robots and what have you from spare parts, but she's never thought about metal prosthetics.

Also, look who seems underdressed for the weather, even if it is warming up. She doesn't seem to mind otherwise.]

He huffs a breath and plants his hands on his hips, satisfied. Finally, he turns to the girl]

[Hearing a kid being beat up? Yeah, that definitely gets this girl's attention. ...Is that really a kid? ...Well, he is ... definitely not a little kid if that line from himself is true. Better rescue the poor locals instead by rushing there.]

[Or should she go with the "Oh, I'm so glad you found him, I've been looking everywhere for him!" and pretend like she knows him? Well, too late for that. But now when she can see him, she can also see that blood on his face.]

Wha? [the NPCs shuffle off, and Ed turns to this total stranger, taken aback. why...does she care? blink blink. as if a crowd of morons would scare him!!

{ A beat. He can't say that he can't relate to the frustration of being whisked off to a different world against his will, but this place has at least started to grow on him. }

None of us truly know how and why we were brought here. Efforts to find that out for ourselves have had mixed results.

[he scurries to prop the phone up against a mailbox. that done, Ed stands back and claps his hands. blue lightning zips along his automail as he slides his flesh palm over the top of his metal arm, forming a blade that stretches past his fist. when he's done, he poses all ~cool~ like a tool]

[Jaune saw his post and was going to ask him what an alchemist was but then he got distracted by who even knows what. But he was in Genessia and near the library when Ed...lost it on the NPCs and he withdraws his sword thinking someone died at first before he realizes oh it's just that guy.

You're the most frightening short person Jaune has met and that is taking Nora and Weiss on a bad day into account.]

You should probably just ignore them. They don't listen anyway.

[Ryou jumps a few feet as little blonde boy literally starts losing it. He relaxes a little once he sees it is meant in general and not for him in particular.]

Don't worry. I used to get that a lot too. [It's probably best to calm the boy down before something escalates.] And then when I turned 15, I hit this growth spurt. They'll still treat you like a kid, though. Even if you do grow. But, at least no one will try to send you to an orphanage, which at least is encouraging.

[ Sertoria is on her way home after taking care of something over at Schnee Company's Genessia branch, keeping an eye out for anything that might be wrong as she's propelled through the skies using her 3DMG. She stops, though, when she hears Ed's outburst a mile away, deciding to investigate to see what's up.

When she drops down, the grappling hooks are wound back into the gear and she politely excuses herself throughout the crowd, smiling a bit at them before clearing her throat. ]

Ah, do not worry, he is with me. [ See that completely trustworthy smile? It helps that she already looks like she's older than him, too. The fake adults apologize and soon clear out, happily continuing on their merry little way. ]

They did not give you too many problems, did they? [ Her eyes land on the cuts on his face and her smile lessens a bit. ] May I help you with that?

[Ed is like a disgruntled cat at this point, all his metaphorical fur on end. He glances away and lifts a curled hand to cover one of the cuts, smearing the blood across his cheek]

I'm fine. They prob'ly thought you were my big sister or something, with hair like that.

[It was just around the corner when Elize and Teepo find the source of the impressive yelling. Look, Ed, someone finally shorter than you! With Teepo settling back in Elize's arms, she cautiously approaches the boy.

Elize could see the cuts and blood on him, but she wanted to be sure before offering up her spirit arte healing.]

[Airy is an inch or so shorter than Ed though she supposed it made more sense for girls to be shorter than boys. She watches with quiet fascination before stepping forward.

She feels bad for the adults considering they were just trying to be nice. Though this boys apparent age must be a sensitive subject.]

[She smiles.]

This is just a miss understanding. I'm sorry for any trouble. [She looks over at Ed and smiles.] It's alright isn't it? They meant well.

[He just looks so adorable, they can't help but mistake him for a child.]

Ed will probably be happy he can look down at someone. Luke is nearly a foot shorter. He's thinking more about what he'd like to borrow next when he hears shouting, and turns to see someone with a bleeding face and metal leg and torn clothes and...

That looks rather painful. He cringes.]
