02: Wandering [ Open Action]
Who: Adela & OPEN
Where: Genessia or Nova City
When: March 13th, all day
Notes: Getting lost sucks, but it at least gives the opportunity to meet some interesting characters along the way.
Warnings: None for the moment.
A little backstory...
[ She couldn't stop thinking about it.
Adela sighed to herself as she stared at the ceiling early that morning. Normally she was up and at it almost as soon as she woke, but now... Ever since she had seen it for the first time, she wanted to know more. It wasn't something she'd experienced before, but if she had to guess at it... She'd probably say it was feeling rather inspired by it. She had to make something representing it. Originally, she had no idea what she'd do with herself on her day off. At last, however, she did figure something out.
She needed to see it again. And, in order to do that, she needed to find the man who showed the world that dragon. Seto Kaiba. With a small slab of iron in her pocket she began to head out, locking up her room and beginning to head north, into Genessia and towards Nova City. ]
Genessia, all times of the day
[ Searching for someone was probably foolish without a plan.
Adela found herself lost more than a few times, and although she did stop in nice places like the park (even if it was raining), or at a stall to get a drink and some food, it was still quite tiring and frustrating to try and find one person that most didn't even know by name. None of the locals were particularly helpful with the search, and she was starting to feel more and more disoriented.
More than once she ended up walking down the same streets, and she was beginning to wonder if she was just terrible with directions or if it really was because it was unfamiliar. She didn't have any problems with Fayren once she got used to the town area, after all.
Perhaps she was sitting on a bench in the park in Genessia, keeping relatively dry thanks to an umbrella purchased earlier. Maybe she was drinking some strange beverage while she walked and looked around. There was a lot to see, so of course it was overwhelming, and she had to wonder if she would ever have any luck with finding that person and seeing that dragon again. It was the whole reason for her outing, so she had to keep going. ]
Nova City, evening
[ It was getting dark...
Adela didn't bring much money with her for the outing, having expected it to end far sooner than it had. Still, it was getting late and the day was almost over, and she still had no luck in finding the man. On top of being tired with her fruitless search, she was starting to get really hungry as well. It really was foolish of her to just assume she could without any kind of lead, and maybe she should have just tried to contact him over the communicator... Why hadn't such a thought occurred to her sooner? Because she wasn't used to it, perhaps?
It might have been time to give up for the time being, if she really couldn't find him. She had a long walk to get back to Fayren, so she should have been staring to head back shouldn't she... That, and being out and about the cities at night wasn't exactly an idea she was comfortable with, even if Fayren at night would likely be the most dangerous. Best to hurry back to her temporary home.
She was tired, done with her search for that day as she finally got to her aching feet and began to head where she thought was south once more. At least, for the moment, the city was still well lit. ]

Nova City
Hey look. She didn't find the guy with the dragons, but she DID find a familiar face.
Nova City
She turned to face the other girl, staring at her before sighing and and glancing away. Damn, she knew she was blushing a little with that too.
"I suppose so... It would be best to head back for the night, for now. It has gotten pretty late, has it not?"
Nova City
It was when he was heading to one of his regular places he noticed the girl wandering around. She looked very young to be stuck in a city this late at night, he thinks. It's not like he cares for others that much but... she's a kid. Like he could just leave her be.]
Are you alright? You seem tired.
Nova City
I will be. I should begin returning to Fayren though, it is quite a ways away and the night is not getting any younger.
[ Oh Nehra she is hungry though... But it isn't this man's problem, and it would be better if she kept her troubles to herself. Even she knows not to be out and about at night, though at this point she can't really help it. ]
no subject
[Says the wanted criminal, not that he makes it seem like he is. Sure, he's tall and muscular but so were many others.]
no subject
[ Admittedly, the thought of wanted criminals roaming at night is unnerving, but... She looks around, considering thoughtfully. Even as hungry as she is, she still has a little power... Probably enough. ]
I should take my leave.

You know what, I could borrow you enough to stay for one night. No strings attached. I just don't want you to endanger yourself.
[Who's soft around humans. Not Reiner. Never.]

She's clearly surprised at the offer though, shaking her head after a moment while holding up both of her hands in refusal. ]
You really do not need to, I will be fine. I could not ask for you to do this for a complete stranger, sir. You surely need your redbills for yourself, do you not?

[ She's still trying to deny it, even if she's almost sick from how hungry she feels now. She doesn't need pity from strangers, she might have been poor but she's no beggar!
... Nehra she hopes her stomach doesn't growl, or that if it does he won't be able to hear it. She can handle it until she gets home. ]
It is kind of you to offer... Truly... But it is not needed. I can simply go home, and rest there.
Genessia, all times of the day
In all reality she needs a job but that’s still on the to do list.
Adela is very easy to notice. To start, she has very bright hair which pulls Airy’s attention away from her book as she passes by the window. She also happens to pass the window three times before Airy realizes that the girl might be lost. She hasn’t spent time in other archways yet but she knows Genessia fairly well.
She closes her book and places it next to her coffee on the counter. Standing she runs over to the window, sort of hoping the girl passed by again. She spots her at the end of the street and waves a hand to get her attention.]
Hey! I mean, excuse me!
[She likes to be polite.]

Ah... yeah. Are you lost? I have a map... I mean you can't have it but I can at least tell you where you are.
[Or give directions, if you know where you're going.]
Genessia, all times of the day
A map will not help. I am seeking a specific person, not a place.
Genessia, all times of the day
Why not just call them?
[Airy leans forward with her chin on her palm. Usually she's the awkward one, this is very surreal. Her elbow slips and she almost falls through the window.]
Genessia, all times of the day
[ She's confused over that, though when Airy almost falls she reaches out, a little panicked before the metal of the bottom part of the window frame pushes up, shoving Airy backwards and back inside. ]
H-Hey! Are you all right!?
Genessia, all times of the day
I'm fine... this is why I don't try and be cool. [She mumbles the last part softly though Adela might be able to hear her.]
What was I saying?
Genessia, all times of the day
Nevermind. I will take my leave.

Nova City-Evening
In her reverie, she at least managed to notice another redhead in her path and stopped just short of bumping into her. The girl looked as if she wasn't paying attention, either.]
Please watch where you're going. [Yep, placing all the blame on the other.]
Nova City-Evening
My apologies.
[ She took a step back then, waiting for Grell to cross. She wasn't exactly in a hurry after all, even if she probably should have been. Still, it wasn't as if her home was going anywhere, and the less energy she used on the way the better. ]

Are you drunk?

[ She frowned at the person in front of her then, though she couldn't stop the slight indignant flush at the assumption. ]
I am tired from the day's wanderings, nothing more. I am merely returning home now.
[ Nehra she was hoping her stomach wouldn't growl though, because not only was she tired but she was hungry as well. She didn't need anything else embarrassing her then and there!
Tiny 4'11" girl didn't appreciate the unwarranted judgemental look there lady. ]
I misread the comment! sorry!
[And why was this girl talking so...formally? That made her even more curious.]
Don't worry about it, made it happen anyway :P
[ She was about to leave it at that, but unfortunately the unmistakable growl and complaint her body was making just seemed deafeningly loud to her. Her eyes widened almost comically in reaction, and with no control over it her face went beet red in response. Of all the things to happen -- ]
I really should go. Excuse me.
[ The words were short and curt as she hurriedly made to walk away, mortified and not wanting to embarrass herself further. ]

[That stomach rumble was one for the ages. While Grell was trying to contain a laugh, she spoke up before the girl could get very far.]
You should do something about that before heading home. [She crossed her arms casually, smiling lightly.] Running on empty is a terrible choice.
