Remnant House
Who:Blake and Remnant House Residents
Where: Remnant House
What:Blake waking up in the morning and having to show her face to people(read that as trying to be spotted right away and failing.)
When: After
this.
Warnings: People might yell at Blake?
Blake's eyes fluttered. It took her brain a few minutes to process where she was. And she almost didn't want to wake up because she was curled against something that was radiating warmth and feeling very comfortable and safe for the first time in the longest time that she could remember. She had not even dreamed. Her eyes slowly opened at focused on Yang's face. She blinked and then colored a little realizing that not only had she crawled closer to her team mate in her sleep but Yang's arm was wound tightly around her.
After several minutes of struggling to disentangle herself from the blond without waking her, she tumbled out of the bed. She was still kind of nervous about showing her face. But she couldn't just hide behind Yang forever. She needed to get to the kitchen and probably to the bathroom too. She planned to get some tea if there was one and then grab and mug of water or juice for Yang. She might be dehydrated from drinking last night.
[ooc: Because there's so many people in Remnant House I kind of scratched my head for a while trying to figure this one out. Basically, feel free to run into Blake anywhere in the house. Or, if you just want to tag with your character's name and have me tag you we can do that. Action and prose are allowed, whatever you want to go with. Might be slow tagger tonight because I'm going out with a friend.]

Took you long enough to show up.

Ah...hi, Jaune. [She was never eloquent in the morning even when she didn't feel awkward.]
no subject
Hi Blake.
[Personally, he didn't blame her to begin with so the only thing that was awkward was that he hadn't seen her in a while. Being at the Dream Docks made it feel even longer. But there was one question he needed to ask.]
Which room did you come out of?
no subject
But seeing as Jaune wasn't asking her why she took off and left them all, she followed his lead and went with the normal topic. It almost felt like she had never left.]
She found me last night. I think she might be a bit hung over.
[Unless Yang was one of those people that could drink and roll right back to their feet. Blake wasn't sure.]
no subject
So you both...made up? Yang must have had a lot to drink. She doesn't strike me as the type to get drunk that easily.
no subject
[Made up? Considering they had fallen asleep wrapped around one another...she colored a little at the memory. She was just glad that Yang didn't hate her. It had been one of the things that had frightened her the most about running into the blond again.]
She talked me into coming back. I'm still not sure that it's right. But I couldn't leave her like that. [She crossed her arms, her brows furrowing slightly as she seems to be weighing the risks.] I can at least make sure that everyone's safe in case...[Well in case Adam showed up and thought it would be a great idea to go on a killing spree with her friends all conveniently in one place, in a world that was much smaller than Remnant.]...any other enemies decide to show up here.
no subject
Are you hot, Blake? Your face is red.
[He didn't speak, allowing her to get her thoughts out before he said anything.] ...Ruby told me a little. About why she thought you...you know. I won't ask you to tell me if you don't want to, but they need you here. Not out trying to take it on alone. I'm glad you're back. It makes things seem more normal.

Good morning, Blake.

She peered over at the stove to see what was being made.]
no subject
Would you like some?
no subject
It wasn't one of Ren's infamous green drinks Blake had heard about at least.]
Sure. [She sat down and looked around a bit timidly. So far she'd only run into Jaune which hadn't been bad. For JNPR's part, they seemed to just accept that she was back. She wasn't sure what Ruby and Weiss's reactions would be.]
no subject
It is good to see you here.
no subject
[ What do you mean it's morning and Weiss should probably shut up and not.. stand on the back of the couch with her arms crossed... ]
no subject
Is that Weiss staring menacingly down at her from a piece of furniture? Um...it would seem so.
She should probably say something.]
Weiss.
[Well it was a start.]
no subject
[ She hops down off of the couch, eyes narrowed intensely. ]
no subject
She approached Weiss hesitantly. Her eyes darted towards the hallway. She was pretty sure even if she did make a dash for Yang's room it would be fruitless. It was not like she could hide from people in their own home.
She could stammer out some excuses, but she decided to let the shorter girl go first this time and just get whatever was in her system out.]
no subject
You think you're the only one the White Fang wants to hurt? Torchwick has a personal vendetta against Ruby at this point and I've been hunted by the White Fang since I was a little girl. I know Yang got hurt, but you shouldn't have run. It's not your responsibility to take that on yourself, and it's definitely ignoring what we agreed on about relying on your teammates.
I'm not going to tell you I'm mad about it or scold you and say you made the wrong decision. I am going to point out that if you died while claiming it was to protect us, it would hurt all of us much more than that man that got Yang's sword could. And I assume that's what it's about- otherwise there's no excuse.
Now sit. [ She pointed at the couch she'd previously been standing on. ]
no subject
[The frustration and guilt show clearly on Blake's face. She gets the place that Weiss is coming from and that it's from a good place, but did they not see the aftermath? Adam had meant to kill them both and it was only because of her semblance that they were alive.]
So you're damn right. That's exactly what it was about. [She didn't expect them to be happy about it. She had agonized over it. But for the first time ever, she had ran away and it wasn't to protect herself. So she wasn't completely sorry for it either. Any alternative that would ensure they stayed off of Adam's radar she couldn't apologize for.
Reluctantly she sat.]
no subject
[ She takes a deep breath and sits down next to Blake. ]
This is our line of work. Someone is always going to pay a price. Everyone who got seriously hurt that day was hurt when someone went off alone.
[ Weiss reaches over to steal a piece of the muffin off of Blake's plate. Clearly she's spent too much time with Sun. ]
You also didn't say hi when you came home or let me know you were okay. That I do expect an apology for.

The blonde bolts upright as soon as she realizes that she's holding a pillow that she does not remember clutching last night. Wincing as the movements aggravated her headache, Yang looked around the room for a sign of her partner before she stumbled out of bed, hitting the ground with a dull thud in her haste.
Scrambling out of the room, at least she was dressed in her clothes from last night, minus her jacket as she made her way out through the living room, looking around for any sign of her faunus
crushfriend. Sliding into the kitchen, the blonde is brought to a halt once she found Blake, the blonde suddenly at a loss for words. After all what do you say to a girl you pretty much confessed in all but words to while you were drunk? Oh is that a red-faced Yang? Yes, Yes it is.
no subject
She thought she'd be ok until she caught sight of Yang's blush which made her color a bit as well. Blake had in fact spent the night curled around her as content as a cat sleeping in the sun. She wondered how much of last night the blonde girl remembered.
Ironically, it was Blake who broke the silence. "I um....thought you might be hungry." She awkwardly indicated the food and drink she had intended to carry back the room. "I wasn't sure when you were going to wake up."
She honestly wasn't sure how to address the issue either. She knew she cared about Yang and definitely loved her as a friend but now...she wasn't sure it was all that was. She hadn't hated being kissed by her partner and she certainly hadn't complained about being held while she slept - which was weird, Blake usually preferred to sleep alone. But she'd also been in a pretty vulnerable place last night. She tried not to look at the space where a strong, whole limb had been. She felt a sharp stab of guilt every time she was reminded how badly she had failed to protect her partner. It should not have been Yang that who had to comfort her.
no subject
Silently taking the food, Yang stood there kind of dumbfounded for the moment as she tried to process that the blush on Blake's face, or that Blake was actually here really did mean she did what she did last night.
"Um...w-well thanks, Blake."
Yang wasn't too sure what she should say either, but the wait was killing her. Though maybe she shouldn't, just in case. The indecision was clearly on her face as she looked up to Blake, then back at her mug of tea, then back up.
"Uh...so...a-about last night..."
no subject
The ground could open up and swallow Blake now. Any time.
But that moment never came, so the Faunus fidgeted a bit, her eyes sliding to the side. Then she scratched the back of her head and fidgeted some more.
"You were a bit tipsy?" Blake volunteered, giving Yang an out in case she didn't want to go there. People did a lot of things they wouldn't normally do when intoxicated. It wasn't as though Blake was innocent and had never seen it. Except...
I like you. Yang had definitely said that. As a rule drunks didn't lie.
no subject
"I meant...what I did. Y-you know." Why did it feel so hard to say? Perhaps because Yang was usually never the aggressor in such things, guys and girls always proposed to her first because she was always such an outgoing girl. She had the feel of one who wouldn't wait for people if they weren't ready.
The blonde clearly remembered all of last night, or at least was remembering more as she woke up, sipping on the tea in her hand as the words she said to Blake filtered through her hangover, and into the blush on her face.
no subject
"Ah," she said. Not exactly a brilliant response, but not an evasive one at least. Seriously, if no hole was going to swallow her then at least a wave or a gust of wind could have the decency to come by and sweep her away from this awkward situation. Or her body could not be traitor and let her face stay a normal color. She could hunt down enemies relentlessly and have arguments about Faunus/Human social issues until sundown but she was a complete moron when it came to dealing with this kind of thing. If it had happened gradually that would have been one thing but things had happened so quickly she felt kind of blindsided. Still, it wasn't fair to Yang not to acknowledge it.
"Um...that..yes..." She had always blamed it on her busy life in the White Fang, but with poetry like this, really, it was a mystery she didn't have more dates in her life.
(It was actually because she blew most of them off. That most people knew Adam liked her way before Blake even did probably had something to do with that too - even before he went wrong, he was kind of scary.)Now she was toying at the ribbon on her wrist with profound interest. "You said some things too."(no subject)
