Remnant House
Who:Blake and Remnant House Residents
Where: Remnant House
What:Blake waking up in the morning and having to show her face to people(read that as trying to be spotted right away and failing.)
When: After
this.
Warnings: People might yell at Blake?
Blake's eyes fluttered. It took her brain a few minutes to process where she was. And she almost didn't want to wake up because she was curled against something that was radiating warmth and feeling very comfortable and safe for the first time in the longest time that she could remember. She had not even dreamed. Her eyes slowly opened at focused on Yang's face. She blinked and then colored a little realizing that not only had she crawled closer to her team mate in her sleep but Yang's arm was wound tightly around her.
After several minutes of struggling to disentangle herself from the blond without waking her, she tumbled out of the bed. She was still kind of nervous about showing her face. But she couldn't just hide behind Yang forever. She needed to get to the kitchen and probably to the bathroom too. She planned to get some tea if there was one and then grab and mug of water or juice for Yang. She might be dehydrated from drinking last night.
[ooc: Because there's so many people in Remnant House I kind of scratched my head for a while trying to figure this one out. Basically, feel free to run into Blake anywhere in the house. Or, if you just want to tag with your character's name and have me tag you we can do that. Action and prose are allowed, whatever you want to go with. Might be slow tagger tonight because I'm going out with a friend.]

The blonde bolts upright as soon as she realizes that she's holding a pillow that she does not remember clutching last night. Wincing as the movements aggravated her headache, Yang looked around the room for a sign of her partner before she stumbled out of bed, hitting the ground with a dull thud in her haste.
Scrambling out of the room, at least she was dressed in her clothes from last night, minus her jacket as she made her way out through the living room, looking around for any sign of her faunus
crushfriend. Sliding into the kitchen, the blonde is brought to a halt once she found Blake, the blonde suddenly at a loss for words. After all what do you say to a girl you pretty much confessed in all but words to while you were drunk? Oh is that a red-faced Yang? Yes, Yes it is.

She thought she'd be ok until she caught sight of Yang's blush which made her color a bit as well. Blake had in fact spent the night curled around her as content as a cat sleeping in the sun. She wondered how much of last night the blonde girl remembered.
Ironically, it was Blake who broke the silence. "I um....thought you might be hungry." She awkwardly indicated the food and drink she had intended to carry back the room. "I wasn't sure when you were going to wake up."
She honestly wasn't sure how to address the issue either. She knew she cared about Yang and definitely loved her as a friend but now...she wasn't sure it was all that was. She hadn't hated being kissed by her partner and she certainly hadn't complained about being held while she slept - which was weird, Blake usually preferred to sleep alone. But she'd also been in a pretty vulnerable place last night. She tried not to look at the space where a strong, whole limb had been. She felt a sharp stab of guilt every time she was reminded how badly she had failed to protect her partner. It should not have been Yang that who had to comfort her.

Silently taking the food, Yang stood there kind of dumbfounded for the moment as she tried to process that the blush on Blake's face, or that Blake was actually here really did mean she did what she did last night.
"Um...w-well thanks, Blake."
Yang wasn't too sure what she should say either, but the wait was killing her. Though maybe she shouldn't, just in case. The indecision was clearly on her face as she looked up to Blake, then back at her mug of tea, then back up.
"Uh...so...a-about last night..."
no subject
The ground could open up and swallow Blake now. Any time.
But that moment never came, so the Faunus fidgeted a bit, her eyes sliding to the side. Then she scratched the back of her head and fidgeted some more.
"You were a bit tipsy?" Blake volunteered, giving Yang an out in case she didn't want to go there. People did a lot of things they wouldn't normally do when intoxicated. It wasn't as though Blake was innocent and had never seen it. Except...
I like you. Yang had definitely said that. As a rule drunks didn't lie.
no subject
"I meant...what I did. Y-you know." Why did it feel so hard to say? Perhaps because Yang was usually never the aggressor in such things, guys and girls always proposed to her first because she was always such an outgoing girl. She had the feel of one who wouldn't wait for people if they weren't ready.
The blonde clearly remembered all of last night, or at least was remembering more as she woke up, sipping on the tea in her hand as the words she said to Blake filtered through her hangover, and into the blush on her face.
no subject
"Ah," she said. Not exactly a brilliant response, but not an evasive one at least. Seriously, if no hole was going to swallow her then at least a wave or a gust of wind could have the decency to come by and sweep her away from this awkward situation. Or her body could not be traitor and let her face stay a normal color. She could hunt down enemies relentlessly and have arguments about Faunus/Human social issues until sundown but she was a complete moron when it came to dealing with this kind of thing. If it had happened gradually that would have been one thing but things had happened so quickly she felt kind of blindsided. Still, it wasn't fair to Yang not to acknowledge it.
"Um...that..yes..." She had always blamed it on her busy life in the White Fang, but with poetry like this, really, it was a mystery she didn't have more dates in her life.
(It was actually because she blew most of them off. That most people knew Adam liked her way before Blake even did probably had something to do with that too - even before he went wrong, he was kind of scary.)Now she was toying at the ribbon on her wrist with profound interest. "You said some things too."no subject
Yang's certainly not fairing much better in the wish her face would stay its normal color, but at least she's not wanting to run...okay she wants to run and hide under her blankets, but that won't help since Blake's now staying with her.
And, She did say that after all. Crap. "W-well...So yeah...Uh..." What did you say? Sorry I confessed that I have a crush on my partner? Does she just try to kiss her?
Diversion time to think! "Did you know you purr at night? It's really adorable..." And now its back to finding Blake adorable again. Her and her big mouth.

Blake looked mortified. Honestly, she hoped she had outgrown that since coming to Beacon. If the others had noticed when sharing a room with her they had never commented. Then again, she didn't usually sleep cuddling someone either.
"I thought I had stopped that," she said tersely, hoping that blushing like this wouldn't make it become permanent. She looked at the ground. And then back up. "Well...I must have felt safe then. I mean, I'm not usually a deep sleeper."
She was silent for a moment. Then she took a chance. She'd have to if she wanted thing to feel normal again. "Did you mean what you said?" she asked, quietly.
no subject
The blonde's quiet as she stares at Blake, gears whirling in her head. Setting down the tea and the uneaten muffin, the blonde moves forward to stand right in front of Blake, eyes showing how vulnerable she felt at that moment.
"..A-and what if I did?"
no subject
Yang might have been the first person in a long time...
"I don't know," Blake admitted. "It's just been a long time, Yang...since I let someone get that close." She bit her lip just slightly as she tried to work out feelings that she was used to shoving down. "I didn't not like it though. I mean when you..when..you kissed me."
And the heat in her face was back.

Pressing a little closer, the blonde looked right at her partner as she grimaced slightly. Blake didn't know...or was she trying to run again?
"Then...how about I try again?"
And so for the second time in less than 12 hours the blonde is kissing the faunus.
no subject
She looked up, her train of thought derailed at her partner's words. And before she could say or do anything a pair of warm lips silenced her. Blake's stomach fluttered pleasantly as the warmth spread down her body. It drowned out her thoughts and made her want to fall deeper into it.
The sun's on my lips. she thought hazily as she leaned in as though drawn unconsciously. Her arms brushed against the taller girl's hair as she found herself slowly, hesitantly, wrapping her arms around the other's waist, breathing in Yang's familiar scent wanting to take in more of that warm, pleasant feeling. Her teammates kisses were being returned hungrily.
no subject
The blonde was surprised as Blake got more aggressive. Yang had only intended for a soft kiss, though once her partner...lover?...picked up pace, the blonde slowly wrapped her own arm around Blake's back.
Who knew the shadows tasted so sweet?
no subject
She stopped and stepped back suddenly feeling mortified that she had reacted so zealously. "Sorry! I...I..."
She stepped back. Yang had initiated it, but even so Blake hadn't meant to show so much of that side of herself so soon.
Gonna zip off at top speed to hide in her room. Which, oops is your room too Yang, unless you grab her before she can.no subject
Sparing the other girl a playful smile, Yang stepped forward to keep Blake from bolting so soon. "Mmm...from the way you were kissing me, I don't think you're really sorry, Blake."
Yang's not about to let Blake run if she can help it, for all the blonde would know, Blake would end up running out of the house and not into their room.
no subject
She stuttered helplessly. Didn't mean to what? Give in so easily? Have no self-control? Bite her partner like an animal?
"I mean I did, but not like that!" she babbled.
Forget running off to somewhere in the house. Maybe the roof. To stay up there. Forever. Until she figured out what the hell had gotten into her. She tried to pull away again.
no subject
"Aww, are you sure? Seeing you get all rough like that was surprising. And hot."
Yang's hand is moving to try and tug Blake back against her by the hips so she could use that closeness to tease her pretty faunus partner more.
"I want to find out if you'll do that every time we kiss."
no subject
"Yang, we're in the middle of the kitchen!" She said that partly because it would never be lived down if someone came and saw them like that and because a distraction from her feeling like a fool would be welcome.
no subject
At the mention of their current room situation, Yang peers about briefly before shrugging and gaining a shit-eating grin on her face that spells trouble.
"Alright, we'll go ahead and fix that." And unless Blake does something, Yang's going to be wrapping her arm around the girl's waist and back and hefting her over the blonde's shoulder to carry her back to their bedroom.
no subject
"Wha - " And then suddenly she had a great view of the blond's backside. The girl is actually hauling her away. With one arm. Blake can hardly even sputter out an indignant remark for the disbelief.
But it looks like at least they're leaving the kitchen before Blake can do anything else embarrassing.
And we probably should talk about...this.
no subject
Plus she got a nice view of your backside too, so you know, balance of views and all that.
Once they're back in Yang's room, Blake's going to be set down on the bed while Yang sits on the edge, reaching over to her dresser to grab a brush and start taming her hair.
She's got curly hair, it's a long process and might as well do some of it while she waits for Blake to possibly recover from her embarrassment.

She had thought about Yang a lot when she'd been traversing Remnant alone. She thought she'd grown accustomed to the silence....but all it had done for her was remind her that there was a hole in her life that used to be filled with warmth and laughter and someone she had grown accustomed to being able to talk to. She had assumed a lot of it was her conscience. She blamed herself for what happened to Yang and still did. She wanted so many times to write a letter at least and send it. Explaining, apologizing, asking how the other was. But she had ended up balling it up every time. If she really was marked by the White Fang it was only a matter of time. She would have to run forever until the day she could actually handle Adam and some days the guilt of what her actions had led to left her so torn up that she just wished he'd come and finish her off. And besides, she was sure Yang hated her. They probably all did now. Those were what her thoughts were like. She wouldn't much blame them. She hated herself. All she could ever do was run.
She missed her friends and wondered about them constantly but she could contact none of them. In a way, he'd gotten what he wanted. She'd separated herself from all she loved.
Which brought her back to her current thoughts. Blake had always been fine alone. She got lonely sometimes, but she wasn't unhappy with her own company. But being kissed like that again, yes again, because she had had a good relationship once before, at least in the beginning and it reminded her that when it was someone who cared about you, someone who actually understood and accepted who you were , everything else you experienced felt cheapened without them. So then, the whole time, had she been feeling like that about the blond and just repressing it like so many other times in her life? She didn't have experience making out with a whole lot of people but she doubted that a reaction that strong happened with someone unless there was something else beneath the surface. Blake most certainly didn't show the side of herself she'd shown in the kitchen to everyone and she hadn't even noticed right away she was doing it.
She reached over and softly stroked at some stray locks of gold hair.

Stroke down, pull away, stroke down, pull away. Slowly undo the knots, try not to break any strands, stroke down, pull away.
And it wasn't really working. The blonde was still abuzz with thoughts. Then again, when was the last time she really let herself go like she did last night? Even when she was drunk in those clubs, she never openly flirted and pressed herself like that. Gods, could she have been any more stereotypical party blonde in that moment?
As her hair is gently stroked, Yang looks back at her partner, a slightly somber look on the girl's face as she stared back into those amber eyes. How did Blake really feel about it, now that she thought of it. Was she just going along simply to make Yang happy? Or did Blake really have feelings for her deep down that she was slowly drawing out of the girl?
Well she couldn't really just come out and ask, so instead the blonde turned the brush around, holding it out handle-first to Blake. "Want to help me brush my hair? I'll brush yours right after."
no subject
But first, she set the brush down and used her hands to gently pulled it all to the back then slowly trailing her hands through it, mindful of the knots. Then she took a section and started gingerly working through it. Blake had read a story once about someone that could spin draw into gold. This is what spun gold would look like.
Blonde is really almost to unpoetic a word for it, she thought.
Yang's hair was the stuff the probably based princess's hair off of.....except Yang would bust out the tower and imprison the dragon there instead. Or make bad puns at it until it flew away. She felt a grin coming on at the thought and stifled a laugh.
no subject
If Yang knew what Blake was thinking, the girl would have snorted softly in amusement. She was definitely no princess, that was closer to Weiss' domain. She'd still be really flattered though, especially from someone like Blake.
Yang could tell something was up as she tilted her head behind her, looking back to stare right into Blake's eyes again. "Hmm? Something up, Blake?"
