Visiting hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM
Who: Luke and any visitors
Where: Genessia Hospital
When: Late March 22 until the end of the month
What: Luke survived the shadow world, but barely--he’ll be staying in the hospital recovering from some severe injuries and, seeing as he’s more than a bit freaked out, wanting some visitors.
Warnings: Blood/Healthcare stuff, mentions of violence probably.
Notes: Once Koishi finds out Luke is in the hospital she is going to be a constant presence. She may not be visible the entire time but she'll be there!
A sign of how badly injured Luke had been was that he willingly consented to every treatment the doctors have subjected him to. Another intravenous line? All right. More fluids or blood? Okay. Vital signs as frequently as the nurses’ pleased, being woken up often though he struggled to sleep—he allowed the staff in the hospital to do whatever they wanted.
When staff wasn’t at the bedside poking and prodding, changing dressings, giving him medicine or doing tests, Luke found himself buried beneath the blankets, hidden. Every sound in the hospital had him on edge. Beeping monitors, the squeaky wheels of carts down the hall, the nurses’ shoes as the make their rounds, knocks on doors, quiet murmuring voices in the room next door: it didn’t matter how familiar the sound became, it was all the same.
Any visitors will find Luke the same way: burrowed beneath every blanket he could get the nurse to give him (his current record is five), eyes squeezed tightly shut. It might be wise to knock and declare yourself—clearly—when coming in. The person you’re visiting is a little bit on edge.

"I'm not sure I can do it on my own either. But once I find a trail I wont need help anymore." As for knowledge Luke had gotten other visitors... Koishi just inclined her head "I don't think I'm composed enough to request information like that."
She shifted her weight, letting her third eye go It drifted down, bumping into and sliding down the wall, smearing blood along it. Satsuki was catching glimpses of Koishi under the mask.
"This is going to be fun, I think. I've not indulged myself in so long. I think it's about time. And I'm sure Sis would appreciate me bringing her home a little treat."

And yet she makes no effort to try to reason with the youkai. Why should she? "Then I will take a look. Stay by Luke's side; I will see what information I can gather in ten minutes, then return with the news. I will then switch watch with you." she proposes.
Fun, huh. Her brows furrow, but decides not to comment on it.

The yelp from his room sounds nothing like the apprentice. Only partially awake, sitting bolt upright, pulling on his IV. The panic and confusion on his face is obvious, his breathing erratic and labored.
When he woke more fully, a few seconds later, he realized what was happening--his arm bleeding from where he'd pull at his IV. Panicked, he looked around the room, wrapping his hand around his arm and covering his eyes. He started to sob, sinking under the blankets. If he was alone, that was all right--he'd just hide here by himself.

Koishi perked up the moment Luke's distress reached a certain point, her features shimmering. She turned a little too quickly, claws caught and gouging out a bit of the door's wooden frame. Her features dissolved, aura drawing back into herself, vanishing into nothing but lingering wisps as she crossed the threshold.
"Luke! Luke I'm still here." She half flew, half ran to his bedside, the faintest reminants of claws taking his bleeding arm gently be the wrist, holding it gently but firmly, coaxing him to raise it. "I'm here okay?" She was struggling to get her aura sorted, already reaching up above the hole in his arm and applying some pressure to slow the bleeding.
"Don't be scared, okay? You're safe..." Despite this several inhuman traits still lingered. Her left eye was quite dark, the glow flickering, nerve damage faintly visible. It would take some time for it to clear up entirely.

... Right?
Satsuki doesn't waste any time getting on her part of the plan and heads off to the nurses desk to do a little investigating.
I'm sorry Koishi ;_;
Willing himself to look up from his covered eyes, he catches sight of the dark left eye. The clawed hand around his arm, holding it up and away from him. The flickering glow of nerve damage. At the door he sees the crack from her hands as she'd come back in.
Instead of settling down, Luke stiffens, eyes wide and panicked. "N-n-n--"
Unfortunately for both of them and completely out of Koishi's control, she is just reminiscent enough of a shadow. Of the creatures in the shadow world that had followed and attacked him. Shrinking away from her, he sobbed, shaking his head weakly. Gallade was valiantly trying to calm him, patting Luke's head.
"P-please d-don' 'urt m-me--'m s-sorry--"
If it is any consolation to Koishi, her young human friend is clearly confused.
;A; Luuuuke!
"Luke. Luke it's me. Please calm down. Please. I'm not going to hurt you!"
She sounded distressed, but her face was a mix of slightly off-key emotions. She was confused and distressed, putting less thought into her emotional facade. It undoubtedly wouldn't last long, but she was too distracted with Luke's state to put any effort into it at the moment.
Gallade was trying to Luke to relax, encouraging him not to curl up with gentle pas and shoulder rubs. 'Luke, it's okay. Don't be frightened.'
;____;
As if to prove Gallade's point, a panicked yelp came from Luke's room. As Koishi released his arm it began to bleed more, only causing him to panic more. "N-no n-no n-no--"

Once Gallade reaches her, her brows furrow, then wordlessly heads back far more quickly than she had left with her hand upon the handle of Bakuzan. Her arrival is telegraphed by quick clacking of heels, and thankfully it doesn't appear anything needs to be struck down though Luke is clearly awake and.. Not responding well to something. "Komeiji, what is the situation?" she hurriedly asks as she approaches the bed.

Koishi just... She didn't know what to do. Her expression was somewhere between her default smile and something more distressed. How was she supposed to look? What expression should she wear? Luke's fear was so complex she didn't have the slightest clue.
She had dealt with human nightmares before and dealt with panicking humans afraid of her, but never like this. As a creature that fed on fear and sorrow she didn't really know how to remedy fear that she herself caused. Especially in such a direct way. I mean... normally this sort of reaction would be a goal. Not an unintentional misunderstanding.
Her head snapped up as the door opened, still covering her left eye, her form wavering some, features lingering. Situation? What was there to say. "Miss White...!" Even if it wasn't ideal, this is how it was supposed to be, wasn't it. Humans comforting humans.

"M-M-Miss K-Kiry'uin?"
Slipping out from beneath the blanket enough that his face is visible, it's clear that he's still only partly awake--and still terrified. "There w-was--I s-saw th-the..." Luke rubbed his eyes, hands shaking. "Th-they were ch-chasin' 'gain an'...an'..."
Now able to give some voice to his fears, it's clear enough what happened. Asleep, Luke had dreamt of being trapped inside the shadow world again, chased by shadows. Koishi's sudden appearance, still with her more frightening features, was enough to convince Luke he hadn't quite escaped. He was still half caught in the panic of the nightmare, unable to think clearly.

"He is out of sorts.. Komeiji, stand behind me a moment."
At bedside, she leans in to make eye contact, and tries to keep as neutral a tone as possible. "Luke, it's going to be all right. I need you to exhale, then take a slow, deep breath through your nostrils. Can you do that for me?" she requests, though as she speaks she reaches for the nurse call button to activate it.

She didn't want to get in the way. And she certainly didn't want to scare Luke any more than she already had. She glanced at the doorway more than once, wringing her hands and chewing on the inside of her cheek. Luke didn't need her right now. As long as Satsuki stayed he would be safe.

All he can articulate are little bits of words. Quiet, hiccuping protests of his uncertainty as Satsuki attempts to talk him down from his fear.
But Luke canfollow instructions. He's at least good at that, and takes some very quick and shaking breaths as Satsuki instructs him to.
The nurse isn't too far behind the pressing of the bell, looking at the occupants of the room before settling on her patient. She'd heard the commotion when plucking up the phone to ask how she could help, and brought a few things worth her.
"Oh honey, don't cry again. Did you have another bad dream?" Glancing to Satsuki, she frowns--a frowning rival, even, for the perpetually stone-faced teen! "That's why we've given him so much medicine help him stay calm...seems like every times be nods off he wakes up like this. Maybe now that he's got some company he'll feel better!"
no subject
Satsuki doesn't really understand much about medicine, how much one should be taking or the like so there's no argument on her end. "Understood. If that is the case, I would like to volunteer to stay overnight." she murmurs.
no subject
She let herself dissolve more, pacing once around the room and then making sure her hat was secure. She wanted to apologize but... Well she should probably wait until he had calmed down. Satsuki's reassurance that she would stay the night was a comfort. It meant Koishi could start investigating sooner. Still... The little youkai took her seat by the window, watching Luke for the next several minutes, allowing her aura to fill the room. Once he was calm and groggy she had every intention of robbing his dreams once more so he could get at least a few hours of peaceful rest.
