Heeeyy hey...!

[it seems as though battler finally decides to make his presence known in this place! it's been a bit hectic for him, but that was exactly why he was calling out to the wonderful people that reside here.]

Alright...! I get it, this is a place where we can't escape that easily. I was in a similar situation back home, it was nearly the same! The only difference there was that it was purgatory, the witches were relentless...!!

Long story short- she was in the afterlife but I was still alive. I... made a deal with a witch back in my world, she said she could bring her back to life again. Turned a little more complicated than I had hoped for.

She was brought back but her consciousness took over another girl's, destroying whoever was in that body before. So, she's back and with all previous memories in a body that's not even hers.

Eeh.. that's... awful. [ And he obviously still cared for her didn't he? ]

She.. witches where you're from... can do something like that? [ She brought a hand to her mouth in quiet horror. That's... awful is too tame a word to describe it. ]

I can't even begin to comprehend how she must feel - and that poor girl who's whole future was destroyed ... [ Gone before she could even live it. Ick. She shook her head. ]

I'm sorry. Is...there anything I can do? Even if it's to talk about something else? [ She'll be happy to talk about other things or distract him. ]

They can.... do more than that. Where I'm from, the witches control all sorts of magic. Endless, Finite, Certainty, Miracles...

Even I had been... a sorcerer at one point in time. I was granted powers, allowed to be a territory lord, but I couldn't exactly bring someone back from the dead unless I had their vessel. It was a tricky thing, so I went to the Witch of Miracles but.... she did something entirely different.

[battler sighs, running a hand through his hair.]

I don't have any powers anymore, I'm just a regular human again, and now... the woman I love wants nothing to do with me.

[he pauses, thinking about her suggestion.] Heh.... I'm insanely good at pretending nothing is wrong even when it's painful to me. Yeah, a distraction is just what I need.

... [ Also she grimaces - how does one respond to that? Loving someone and knowing they want nothing to do with you - that's something hard to move on from. She glances down silently. SHe knows plenty of people who pretend nothing is wrong when it's painful inside. She's done it herself, and has seen several of her friends go through that. ]

...A distraction, huh..? Okay, I'll do what I can to help. What kind of distraction do you want? [ Actually...that's a loaded question. Oh well! ]

[battler is just trying to figure out how to go back to being happy like before. he has to pretend like nothing is wrong.... right? okay, time to get into the right mindset here....!

[He's actually just about to enter through her window since Erza said something about forcing training on him if he was caught with even a toe in the girls wing of the dorms. So naturally this meant he had to walk along the roof, scale down the side and in through the window to Lucy's room.

Everything was fine until that final bit since just as he was about to swing in through the window he hears Lucy scream so rather than swinging through, he flat out BURSTS through the window]

Lucy! What's Wrong!?

[none of it was made up! but now she might understand why yuri and battler are always fighting.

[ That first comment was just embarrassing, but when Natsu bursts into the room through her window, she almost closes her video phone in a panic. ]

[ Actually that first impulse was probably the correct one, considering Battler keeps talking. About if she was promised to anyone and ... and... he... he... oh god her face. HER FACE CANNOT GET MORE RED THAN IT DOES. ]

N.. NO I'm NOT, and I'm Absolutely Positively NOT going to swear something like THAT. What is wrong with you!? [ You lech! Pervert! Masher! ...Lucy stop talking to him it's only going to get worse from here. D: But she doesn't, and when he hears Natsu, Lucy edges back a little so that he can see the Dragon Slayer too. ]

M-My friend, Natsu. [ Is this really the time for introductions? ]

[Covering it doesn't do any good. Dragon Slayer hearing is sharp ya know? So he hears everything Battler's saying.]

He walked into view of the phone and he has a very pointed glare on right now.]

I heard you yell pervert so I thought Gray must've shown up in your room again. But I see some other guy's bothering you.

[He leans in close. so that his face is all up in that phone.]

You bothering my partner, buddy?

Whoops! Looks like you do have a fella. Aw man, I missed my chance...! I was so close, so close to feeling up another beautiful woman-!

[battler dramatically slaps his forehead!!]

[ Lucy chokes on her embarrassment for a second. Feeling up another beautiful woman? CREEP. She didn't want him thinking he could keep saying things like that, and... She glances at Natsu, then back to the video phone. ]

[ She'll make it up to you later, Natsu, but right now she reaches up to put a hand against his arm, her blush impossibly getting worse. ]

Y.. Yes, that's right! Natsu is... he's.. my... [ She tightens her hand against his arm. ]

[ She'll make it up to you Natsu, she glances towards him, leaning over to whisper, with a free hand reaching over to mute the videophone quickly so Battler can't hear. ]

'Sorry, can you just.. go along with that? I .. don't want him thinking he can get away with being like that.'

[ ...and oddly she didn't think she'd mind if -- oh that's just silly. Or not. ]

[Erza walks in to return one of Lucy's book when she hears "Don't say such lecherous things to me." Based on Natsu's extreme proximity to Lucy it could only mean one thing- He was being a pervert again!]

Am I interrupting something?

[No, the voice didn't come from the doorway. In an instant the redhead is behind the pair, her hand grasping the collar Natsu's shirt and tipping him out of the open window. She doesn't sound angry at all but boy does she look it.]

My My Natsu, I thought we'd talked about how this sort of behavior would not be tolerated. Perhaps I didn't make myself clear enough.

[Natsu couldn't keep up with the chain of events. First the guy was upsetting Lucy then he told him to never let go of he then going on saying things he already knew.

Next thing Lucy asked him to go along with...it was her being his partner right? Why go along when it was true? It made no sense.

However confusion gave way to horror as he heard Erza's voice from behind all of a sudden. The color drained from his face immediately and before he knew it, he was flying out the window]

[.........what...... the hell was all that?

battler looked stunned on the video, he was just smiling nervously now as he simply watched all what was happening. okay so... scary lady, that guy is afraid of her? well, he's certainly interested in how they all know each other!

Ehehehe.... u-um....! I don't really know what's going on but.... listen up, it wasn't Natsu-san that was at fault here, okay? Lucy-san was just helping me out with something! She was offering to be a distraction for me, and I guess I took it too far!

Aah, I was just messing around, honest....! When dealing with a pervert, you need to deny them and give 'em a good hit if you ask me! The innocence of a lady is a sacred thing, you know!

[ Shortly after saying her piece, LUcy unmuted the videophone again, only to freeze at Erza's return. Eep. ]

[ Too late, She's already tipping poor Natsu out the window. ]

Erza... [ She smiled weakly, turning back to the videophone as Battler tried to clear up the situation. Just messing around huh? Typical Lucy, trolled again! ]

A-ah... yeah, of course I know that.. [ The weak smile became steadier, and she nodded. ]

Er... You're welcome, Battler. [ Eheh. ]

Never a dull moment.... I can see that now.
