[ As her face appears on screen, Winter's expression is stern; if not a touch annoyed with her pale blue eyes piercing and cold. Like they could freeze anyone they fixed themselves on. By the look of it, arms crossed over her chest and visible from where the device was recording her from. ]

It has come to my attention that a lot of people have things to say regarding Weiss Schnee and how she has been doing things in this world.

[ There's a bite of harshness in her voice then. ]

I have looked through that anonymous 'chat' and see a lot of you cannot put your true feelings out there without wearing a face of anonymity. How cowardly. So with that said, I will put this out there without hiding.

[ Winter clears her throat, eyes narrowing a touch and completely unafraid. She can be a little reckless - as most Schnees tend to be - and as such does not exclude her from this and may likely regret it but for now she can't let this slide. ]

ANYONE who has an issue with my sister or anything that she's involved in will take it up with me before choosing to engage with her in any way or form. This is non-negotiable so if any of you are not weak-kneed and cowardly enough to shy away then come forwards and I will deal with you without fear.

[ Come at her. Really. She's sick of the people talking smack about her baby sis, and even if the younger Schnee can take care of herself, it didn't mean she was going to sit by and let people do whatever they wanted. ~~This was necessary, Weiss.~~ ]

It's a use of power, not an abuse. I'm not using my power to pardon someone because I like them or because they're paying me off. I'm using it because this is going to result in fewer deaths and significant crimes, which in turn is going to result in a safer Nova City. My personal feelings about the criminals I've pardoned have nothing to do with that and if I wanted to abuse it, I'd have put warrants out for the arrest of a whole handful of people who haven't actually committed crimes in this world yet.

[ Weiss doesn't seem to be flinching, even if she normally would shrink away from any criticism from Winter. It's breaking her heart that she's having to stand up to her own sister, but being in Genessia for so long, having seen what it's like to have a sister far more controlling than Winter could ever be and being a part of helping Zuko deal with Azula? She's learned a lot about not taking every word as gospel. ]

I understand the consequences and what I'm doing, Winter.

[ Mercury was a stall for time- it was obvious by the way he was acting publicly that he thought this was a joke. There was no way that would last, but it's giving her time to figure out how to deal with him when he was saying weeks ago he was ready to start painting the streets red. Torchwick was a much more delicate matter, and none of it was something she was willing to talk about in public. Not yet, at least. Weiss was all about trying to keep things above board, keeping information open and free and showing she wasn't their father. But for now, she needed some things kept quiet. Mercury's deal played out well as a precedent for Torchwick's. If Mercury can joke around like this and make it clear she really did just do it for nothing in return besides a promise, then Torchwick has the same precedent and Torchwick's not going to get murdered before they can catch Cinder. ]

I'd also like to remind you that you're an employee of Schnee Company right now and you need to have a sense of professional decorum and understanding of the company's mission, which centers around the free access of information. That includes the peoples' right to form their own opinions and ability to speak freely without being chastised for speaking about me unfavorably. Not all disagreement results in people like the White Fang, Winter. If I didn't have people who disagreed with me and told me about it, I would be alone, miserable, and filled with hatred and ignorance. I may not be happy about being told things I don't want to hear all the time, but silencing people who say anything but what I want to hear is what Father does. I won't be like him.

[ Well. Damn. All of that was probably the most maturity she's EVER seen from her younger sister and it's kind of impressive in itself to say the least. She not only made fair points but expressed her opinions, but used facts, examples and logic to back them all up. If she were the more 'emotional' type of person, she may have even laughed because there was no way she could form a proper rebuttal to any of that now.

Good job, Weiss. ]

Hm. You really have come a long way from the little sister I had spoken to last back home.

[ This was the biggest show of a backbone she's ever seen as well, earning what looked to be a smile as her expression softened a touch. In a way this was not only commendable but somewhat painful as a part of her wished she could have been here these past few years to support Weiss in her endeavors to become the young woman she'd grown into now.

If only their father could see how far she's come. ]

I understand and acknowledge my mistake here, and from now on I will act more accordingly under the name of the Schnee Company. You have made yourself inherently clear and you have my support in your future decisions.

[ Winter meant every word that she spoke, letting the younger Schnee know she had gotten through to her and she, in turn, approved of how she'd went about it. ]

[ When Winter compliments her, tells her that she's right and that she supports her, it honestly makes Weiss's day. The tenseness in her shoulders releases a little and Weiss smiles again. Actually having to admit that Winter was both wrong and argue with her about it was frankly one of the less comfortable things Weiss had to do lately, despite all of the highly uncomfortable things she'd been doing. Seeing Winter accept that she's come so far and support her feels like a heavy weight was lifted off of her. Elation only barely covered what she felt right then. ]

Thank you, Winter. I promise I won't disappoint you.

[ There's a brief pause, and then.. ]

If you'd like, I've got a reservation for Nakiba tonight. It's supposed to be pretty good.

[ She was going to ask Ruby to come with her, but she's pretty sure Ruby wouldn't know what to do in a fancy restaurant anyway. ]

[ They had been only words and in themselves, didn't appear to hold a physical weight to them at first glance, unless they were looking closely at the person they were being directed at. Such was seen in their case, as she had taken note of the tension leaving her sister's shoulders a bit, which said more than her words alone had.

She gave a curt nod of her head in acknowledgment of Weiss' thanks and promise; one that she was going to keep close. If a legitimate threat popped up, she would assist her sister properly but for now was content with just lending her the correct support that she needed in her life. ]

Is that so?

[ It feels so easy - and natural - to nod her assent, that smile from before not quite having left her features yet. ]

I'd be more than happy to join you this evening, Weiss.
