[ Genessia's Integrity is not a paper that has any; respectable outlets don't carry it- willingly, anyway. The paper has a mysterious tendency to show up in larger venues anyway, complete with inventory and sales history, although if you tried to track the order you'd have to dig through layers of complicated subcontractors and it would just dead-end with companies that either no longer, or never have, existed. ]

Schnee Family Threatens Critics with Violence

Winter Schnee went onto the network yesterday in an uncontrollable rage, threatening to attack anyone who so much as mispronounced the Schnee name. This comes on the heels of Nova City Guardian Weiss Schnee pardoning several high profile violent criminals, continuing the family's legacy of advocating violent crime.

Schnee's petulant tirade seems to have been sparked by an anonymous internet meme that was posted to the network, with topics ranging from 'best' and 'worst' person, to 'who has the nicest ass' and 'where is the best place in Genessia to eat.'

We can only hope that she doesn't discover the review section of the Genessia Tribune.

Fayren Officially the Creepiest City

Move over, Everglade!

Fayren's Guardian, Satori Komeji, announced a new magical-doll-based police force. The new 'Doll Corps' is capable and willing to enforce the guardian's will by any means necessary, and will do so without any input from residents, authorities or any kind of accountability or supervision. "The purpose of the Doll Corps is the...violent capture and holding of criminals," she explained. "More violent or resistant individuals, of course, will be subdued with...harm."

I guess you could say Fayren is going... to the dolls.

[Grell really loved how everything in the paper is either exaggerated or taken out of context by omitting a few words! She grins happily as she stands nearby where she got her paper, sipping tea from her personal, red tumbler. ]

Things are getting better and better~! [She really needs to find older releases of this paper.]

[Alice was out and about making sure her security dolls were functioning properly. She was using that as an excuse to admire her work, because she knows they're working. Normally, she ignored the newspapers, but the headline on this one caught her attention.

Reading it over, she doesn't care about the Schnee family, so she skipped ahead to the section regarding her security dolls.

And she not amused in the slightest.]

"...This reporter spins faster than that misfortune Goddess..."

[Blaze had finished up at Sand Gym early this morning and had decided to take a walk around the city before returning to his apartment. Of course, he'd be sidetracked by someone carrying this particular paper, and he went through it out of pure curiosity. He'd seen Winter's outburst, as well as Satori's announcement, but these articles? Talk about taking something and blowing it out of proportion.]

Some people just write what they want to believe.

It is creepy though.

[Airy chimed in behind Blaze, a smile on her lips and a grocery bag in her hand. She looked up at him happy to be out of the hospital. She'd been discharged about a week ago and still had bandages on her shoulder.]

I've never left Genessia.

[He looks over his shoulder when he hears Airy and smiles to her. It was good to see her out and about.]

I've only been to Fayren a few times. I'm still not sure that dolls make Fayren creepier than Everglade.

[The dolls were kind of cute, admittedly. In their own way.]

Everglade is like a bad horror movie right? So these dolls are like a Chucky movie?

[She doesn't really watch horror.]

[He doesn't really either, but that's probably because he's a bit more of a science fiction nerd.]

No, I wouldn't say that. Those dolls look a little too... cute to be the central figure of a horror movie.

[Airy gives Blaze a look that suggests she isn't convinced.]

Cute things are even creepier when they start moving because you'd never expected.

[She's now thinking about the bunny she got at the carnival and shivers. Yeah, it's creepy.]

[Well, thinking more about it, she kind of has a point. Going by horror movie logic, it would be the cute things you'd expect the least.

Hard to say. It might work in theory, but until we seem them in action, I don't think we can say one way or the other.

[Airy is aware that this isn't a horror movie but this also isn't home. Home isn't a horror movie and she couldn't really rule out that this place isn't. More so considering recent events.]

Yes. I've been meaning to go there for a while, actually.

[He won't drop the main reason why he'd go. That's something that likely needs to stay between him and Mewtwo if they go through with it. If they don't, then he'll want to get to aiding with relief efforts like he'd been meaning to from the start.]

Should I let you know if they're as creepy as this paper makes them sound?

[Airy won't press or assume that there is some deep dark spooky secret about why Blaze needs to go to Fayren. It's probably something reasonable or even just wanting to see these strange new dolls.]

If they are creepy I think I'l continue to stay out of Fayren.

[Besides the fact that they might classify the weird stuff she does as magic.]

[People making assumptions about Blaze isn't exactly new (coughHamiltoncough), but had she asked, he likely would have said he was meaning to help relief efforts there anyway. He returns a small smile.]
