First Melody : Video (he has no idea he's recording...
[On flips a screen of a young man listening pensively to the Weiss hologram before him with squinted eyes. It's easy to guess he's only getting more confused as his expression crosses over into annoyed.]
Whaaaaaaaaa?! Man that's a teal deer! Except in words, of course. Geez. They say I can't leave? Well watch this!
[And when he tries to go through the dark corridor he opens, it promptly spits him back out. He looks shocked for a moment. Then he lets out a nervous laugh.]
Well...ah haha...that is something new. At least they can't blame this one on me. Who am I kidding? Saix will probably try. But then, he has to find me first.
[He's silent for a moment. Is he going to panic? Rant? Rave?
Nope.
A grin spreads across his face.]
That's right....[He looks as though a light bulb is slowly going off behind that mulleted façade.] I can't leave and at least for now, no one can find me.
[Demyx kicks back, proceeds to get comfortable and begins to pluck out a few notes on his sitar. He's in no hurry to go anywhere.]
[ooc:Just jump in if you want action. Can play by ear the particulars of the location.]

Don't be ridiculous. Of course not. Are you?
no subject
Not a good place to live or visit and you never know what the food is going to do to you.
no subject
[ So much for hiding how he felt. ]
no subject
[He's still mad about what Saix did to him in Olympus, the jerk.]
So. I take it you've been there too then. That means you can also travel worlds. [His attention span may be short, but he did catch that, Jefferson.]
no subject
[ Might as well be blunt. They both knew what the other could do now. ]
I never have been good at hiding how much I hate Wonderland.
[ His now darkened expression clearly said as much. ]
And travelling realms? I could do that. Not anymore. If I was able I wouldn't be here at all.
no subject
Well. To be fair, my way of traveling quit working when I got here. Maybe it has something to do with this place. But I guess that goes for everyone? It's like a giant spider web...creepy. But who would want to do this?
[He starts shuffling through some papers that he pulls out of his coat like they're flash cards.] Nope. Nothing mentioned on what to do about that here. And I'm pretty sure it's not in any hand book.

You're not the only one confused, trust me. We're all trying to figure things out here.
[ There was a brief hesitation when he considered just how detailed he should be about his own "magic." Vague seemed most appropriate because calling it his own wasn't exactly truthful. ]
Everyone I've met insists the barrier can't be broken, but I'd been hoping our particular brand of magic would put up a bigger fight.
no subject
Maybe all the magic brought here has to be used together or something.
no subject
[ He was still determined that escape was possible, that it had to be possible, but Jefferson also knew that getting things to work was never anywhere close to easy. ]
I asked a guy about who has the powerful magic around this place but I didn't exactly get a useful answer. But I do know that a lot of people have it.
no subject
So is magic a typical thing here?
no subject
[ How he was going to make that happen was pretty up in the air, though. ]
There are a lot of different people who can do a lot of different things. Some of those things include magic, so yes.
no subject
[And there's the question.]
Hmm. Guess I won't be too out of place. [So people had saw him, big whoop. He'd tell Saix that everyone here was from a different world and it was expected - it was the truth.]
no subject
[ Not like he was trying to cover for not having a plan or anything. ]
In a world where everyone is out of place, wouldn't being in place make you the weird one?
no subject
[Blink. Did he accidentally get something right?] Yeah. I'll be it would....
no subject
You don't even know who you're purposing we drown. Are you even strong enough to down someone?
no subject
why did i spell proposing as purposing oh my gosh
[ Not like he had control over what the kid did or didn't try to do, but he hoped the sternness to his voice at least discouraged it. Despite his wariness, he did see the potential in the idea of two people with experience in similar kinds of magic working together. ]
Re:it happens//also awww, Demmy is making friends
[All childishness has fled him now and he seems much older.]
Might not care how we feel about it. Might accuse us of not feeling at all. [Oh, he's not BITTER about anything. Noooo.]
they have to be friends, they're portal pals
[ His expression turned grim at the admission. He wanted to believe that a solution could come about without violence, but he knew all too well that sometimes not everyone made it out alive.
The mood shift was immediately apparent, and it took him somewhat off guard. His story clearly went deeper than Jefferson had initially assumed. He didn't entirely understand, but he didn't really need to. He wasn't about to pry. Still, he felt the need to say something. ]
Listen, kid. The only person who gets to decide who you are is you.
Re: they have to be friends, they're portal pals
Thanks...[Said under his breath.]

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you have a name. Jefferson's mine.
