[ Mercury, never content to just start the feed focused on his face like a normal human being, instead backflips into the frame shortly after the video begins. What might be most surprising to anyone who knows him is his change of attire - instead of the same outfit he wears pretty much every single freaking day, he's in what appears to be some kind of uniform. Blue buttondown shirt, darker blue slacks and a hat of matching color, a nice pair of shoes... he kind of looks like-- ]

[ Mercury, on the job and dressed for it, is making his way to the addresses he's assigned to for the day with a sack full of letters and such slung over his back. Feel free to intercept him, or have him show up at your door with some stuff.

Or, perhaps, talk about delivering something outside the normal postal system. He's not opposed to some smuggling work on the side. ]

And... why are they doing it, exactly?

From what I know, it is because they fear all magic, whether it can help them or not. They even fear those who would use it for nothing but to help their fellow man, rather than only those who would do them harm.

They seem to have no care for those who get in their way either, whether they possess magic of their own or not. I have seen such with my own eyes.

Only if it comes to that. Ideally I would be strong enough to do so but would never need to. Keeping people alive and safe is what matters to me.

Ever think that maybe they're under the same mindset? Maybe they think that getting rid of magic or whatever is what's best for everyone.

... I wish I could believe that, truly. But I cannot when, so far as I know, they believe all who possess magic to be evil, to the point where they would cause great harm if possible.

That aside, I do not wish to provoke them nor give them any reason to found their fear, only to stop what they intend to do.

But why do they think that? Opinions don't just spring out of nowhere. Something must've set them off in the first place.

Just wondering if anyone's actually asked them.

If they resort to hurting those who have nothing to do with their conflict, the reasons stop mattering. There is no justifying the murder of innocent people.
