[ Mercury, never content to just start the feed focused on his face like a normal human being, instead backflips into the frame shortly after the video begins. What might be most surprising to anyone who knows him is his change of attire - instead of the same outfit he wears pretty much every single freaking day, he's in what appears to be some kind of uniform. Blue buttondown shirt, darker blue slacks and a hat of matching color, a nice pair of shoes... he kind of looks like-- ]
Ta-da! Guess who works for the post office!
[ Yeah. That. ]
Well, the Nova City branch anyway. So anyone who lives around here can expect to be seeing a lot more of me soon. Right on your doorstep, even! I can hardly wait.
... I won't be the one delivering the paper, though, so don't whine to me about broken windows.
[ He winks at the camera, leaning in as if to turn it off... but pauses for just a moment. ]
Oh, uh. Right. If any of the other city's guardians could shoot me a line? There are things I'd like to discuss. Sooner rather than later, please and thank you!
[ Now he clicks the feed off. ]

PRIVATE TO: Emerald Sustrai
[ ... or at least clicks the feed to a private channel. ]
Tell me your jaw didn't just drop.

ACTION: Nova City
[ Mercury, on the job and dressed for it, is making his way to the addresses he's assigned to for the day with a sack full of letters and such slung over his back. Feel free to intercept him, or have him show up at your door with some stuff.
Or, perhaps, talk about delivering something outside the normal postal system. He's not opposed to some smuggling work on the side. ]

[ Is she joking? Is it in her to joke? Who knows. Still, Adela seems a bit more... Well, positive since the last time she's talked to Mercury, rather than just plain curious. ]
I am glad to see that you have gotten good work, however. I was honestly worried after seeing you last time, but it seems that worry was unfounded.
[ LIKE HE'S ONE TO TALK. ]
Worried about what? I could have gotten work as a mascot for sure, if nothing else panned out. I was adorable.
[ Or just choose not to work but details. ]
You have been well then? It has been some time, so it was not exactly easy to tell.

[ She's not videoing though. Because honestly guess who's waiting for Cinder to show up in a hospital and hasn't publicly announced that yet and is still going to throw shade while pretending that she's doing it for his sake. Stay away from her home, jackass. ]

He left his sculpting knife on the table as he made his way from the back work room to the shop. If he did well enough, he might need to order someone to watch the front. That way he could work without having to constantly watch the counter.]
We're open! Sorry, I was about to flip the sign - oh! [He recognized this face.] You're the guy that was in the heart costume. I didn't know you worked for the post office. [Which still didn't explain why he was sneaking around as a heart, but he had decided to just let that one go.]

He adjusts his hat briefly as the door opens, a lopsided grin on his face. ]
Yep! Gave up a life of spreading love for a life of spreading mail.
[ He unfolds his arms to reveal a clipboard, which he casually pushes towards Ryou along with a pen. ]
Signature.

I'm sure I don't need to waste time explaining the deal Schnee gave me. Unsurprisingly, none of the other guardians seem to be on board with it.
So. Hypothetically. What would I have to do to earn a second chance?

Wow, some people are bitter. I, for one, don't mind a mail man that's easy on the eyes.
Shame you can't replace the paper boy though. I'd love to see the little bastard lose his job.

I wonder if I'll pass him in the office one day. Maybe I can try to make him see... "reason".

[Just as Grell was getting out of the elevator of Heaven's Court Apartments, she runs into Mercury on the other side of the open doors. Not expecting to run into him like this, or him dressed like that, she looks honestly surprised. She blinks a few times before smiling lightly to him.]
Mister Mercury. What a pleasant surprise. I wasn't aware you were part of the postal system.
[Action]
Someone has to make these uniforms look good.
[ A pause, as he turns in place as if to show it off before looking at her expectantly. ]
Well? Give me something on a scale of 1 to 10.
