Cinder is in prison and that's where she's going to stay. There'll be more details in the paper, but I thought I should let all of you know since the only people who knew about the mission were the people directly involved in it.

Mercury seems to want to cut himself off from her entirely- he didn't even want to know when visitation was. He's also working a deal with David Haller for access to Genessia City contingent upon his participation in supervised community service and pro-bono bounty work. Torchwick and Neo won't be a problem beyond a pain in my.. well, I'm sure you can guess. That said? I'd appreciate it if those of you who have been stalking them take a step back. Emerald is the only one who isn't turning out to be an asset of sorts, but as far as I can tell she's just playing around at an arcade. If anyone has other information, be sure to let me know.

Professor Ozpin, Professor Goodwitch, General Ironwood, Winter? Please spare me the yelling. There were no casualties except for Beacon itself. The archway is closed. Vale itself is still open through Fayren, so all of our Dust should still function. Considering what we all know about Beacon now though, I'd.. recommend against trying to re-open it. Where she is isn't a prison Cinder can get out of no matter whose powers she has and it's a far cry more humane than what she deserves.

Are you still not talking to me? I know you're upset and I'm happy that you showed up to help, but this is getting ridiculous. I am sorry that you're hurt and I know why, so tell me what I need to do to make things right. I thought giving you space and time was what you needed, but you've had both and this is dumb. I want my friend back. I know things aren't that simple- that I don't just get what I want because I say it's so, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to try.

...Kinda wish I had known about this whole dealing with Cinder thing, but I guess since I lost my arm, it's kinda hard to deal with someone who can take out Pyrrha handicapped like this.

...I still don't trust any of the others though. I know, I know, you don't either and shouldn't be expected to. Just wanted to throw that out there.

Ruby and Jaune would've done something themselves if they didn't know something was going to happen. Flynt and Sun lost a lot, but they weren't.. as close to this as everyone else was. That's why I picked them- not because of your arm. No one else who helped was even from our world.

[ A beat. ] Also, we didn't fight her. I collapsed an archway on her, then had everyone stationed at the hospitals to find her and sedate her before she woke up. Torchwick's.. assistance threw me for a loop, but we got it taken care of. That's what that power outage the other day was.

[ Somehow, there's an audible eyeroll. ] And that's my fishbowl, Yang. Just because I haven't used any in a while doesn't mean I forgot about it.

[She's not even going to comment on the stalking, because technically just because she was in the same area as them doesn't mean it can be proved stalking, and that incident with Torchwick would have happened even if she didn't agree with Jaune - like she was going to let him do that alone.

Besides, it's not her fault she has to live in the same city with them now. She'd be tempted to move if she didn't have some semblance of a conscience about leaving the others again.]

[ Normally? She might have gotten a little irritated that Weiss was doing such huge, reckless things on her own but Winter HAD learnt from her whole last post to the network to put more trust in her sister since she did seem like she knew what she was doing and seemingly taking charge of things all on her own. ]

[ Her tone is calm, light and she actually almost seems amused, instead of mad. ]

You seem like you handled yourself well, and the lack of casualties is enough to speak of in itself. I understand when conducting missions you do need the utmost discretion to keep the knowledge close-knit so it would make sense as to why you did not inform any of us, seeing as i'm sure one of them would have stepped in to stop you.

[ See? She had learned her lesson and her tune's changed a bit, supporting her sister until she seemed like she truly did need it and she was doing fine on her own. ]

Which reminds me. Whenever it is you are not busy, would you perhaps be willing to meet with me and demonstrate your skill with your sword? Surely you have improved vastly beyond what I remember and it would be nice to witness this first-hand.

Thank you, Winter. I didn't think you would stop me, but I thought it might put you in an unfortunate position with General Ironwood. Considering what happened back home, I.. have my doubts that he or any of our instructors would find letting one of their students as an acceptable lead against a woman who took an entire kingdom down.

[ He is her boss after all. Weiss didn't want her to have to do that, otherwise she would've asked for her assistance. ]

[Spare me the yelling. She's sure that was directed at her, and it smarts, but... well, Weiss has managed to lock up Cinder somehow and the city is still standing. She's done far more than Glynda has-- not that this is a contest.

Her reply comes with an ounce of hesitation, but mostly relief.]

You know what I'm about to say. I'm glad there were no casualties and you did very well. However, if it had not gone as you had planned, none of us would have been able to help you. Your safety-- and the safety of all students-- matters more than some line-marking contest with a wanted criminal. I would have rather done this with the help of Professor Ozpin and General Ironwood.

But... I understand that you know this place better and you have more resources than we do. I suspect the reason you kept us in the dark was not only to evade our 'yelling' as you put it, but to ensure the success of your mission. Your foresight would earn you very high marks if this were a test.

That does not mean you are completely forgiven, however. We are all on the same team and I do not like being kept in the dark. If Cinder escapes-- and I suspect she will-- are you willing to cooperate? How secure is this prison?

My plan was contingent on zero confrontation and involved excluding a number of people from our world who would be too emotionally compromised to actually listen to orders from someone they don't accept as a leader. My priority was the safety of everyone here, not just the safety of people from our world or to prove a point. With all due respect, Ozpin and Ironwood's methods both already failed and none of you have the right to argue that you're upset about me keeping secrets from you. Between that and understanding how this world works is how I came up with a plan that made me the only one responsible for taking a life and the only one at risk. Ozpin may have said to leave things be, but he wasn't here when she committed crimes here that I was able to gather evidence for now that I knew to look. People didn't feel safe to the point that I tried to take a night off and was told that our world was a threat to this one, that I got to deal with Fayren's telepaths after I told Ozpin I didn't trust them because they thought we were so much a threat that they were considering placing guards at our archway to prevent access to Dust.

[ She takes a deep breath. She knows Glynda's mad and she doesn't want her to be, but she knows that if she explains her plan, she's.. probably going to be a little more lax about safety. Hopefully. Safety was definitely Weiss's number one priority since she knows they couldn't have won an actual fight against Cinder. ] Cinder's confidence in overtaking General Ironwood's army gave me the idea to utilize Nova City's robotic police force to eliminate casualties in laying a trap. I used the information the we received from Ozpin about the Fall Maiden and operated on the assumption that Cinder would want to either gain or prevent others from gaining a replica of that power created when I had the Beacon subarchway open, as there are replicas of people that are added to the archways as well. Cinder has been here long enough to know this, so when I put up guards and announced that "after speaking to Ozpin" I would be doing that to protect the archway from her, it essentially said 'come get me' to Cinder. I utilized Roman Torchwick and Neopolitan to grant authenticity to the claim rather than it being an obvious trap, and Mercury Black's clemency made it possible to offer all of them deals with the claim that they were getting it for free to cover up Roman's involvement as per the safety agreement in our contract. If Mercury and Neopolitan's deals were free, there's no reason to assume Torchwick's wasn't. She came and destroyed a significant portion of non-sentient robots, and since I'm the one who opened the subarchway, once she was in far enough I closed it on her. Past experience with the subarchways closing for maintenance at the beginning of the year before all of you got here gave me the information to know that if she didn't get out, it would kill her. Whenever someone dies, they wake up in a hospital after they've given up something important, same as opening and closing a subarchway. It was just a matter of forming teams and providing them with the correct dosages of a sedative to keep Cinder asleep during transport. It may not have been the bravest way to solve the problem, or even the most faithful to being a huntress, but Cinder Fall is currently in a prison that I have faith will be able to hold her and I would be happy to set up a meeting between Guardian Haller and yourself if you'd like to inspect it.

You may not forgive me, but I think my team- the team I made and trusted here- did exceptionally.

[ glynda will certainly not be happy. ironwood and winter, equally so. and ozpin isn't necessarily happy either -- mostly because he doubts cinder remaining in prison will last. this is temporary at best, but weiss saw an opportunity and took it. that is all he can ask of any huntress, particularly against an enemy such as cinder. and with no casualties? certainly better than what ozpin managed against her.

he's not even sure if he's dead yet, so. positive results, really.

he could lecture. he could scold weiss on not using her resources properly. but doing so seems pointless, especially at such a result, so weiss instead receives a dry tone: ]

Well, I mostly expected it from Glynda [ Yes, Weiss absolutely just called her by her first name and sounds like she's positively stoked about having the allowance to do so ] and General Ironwood. I'm probably going to end up with a head-lump from Winter later [ She promptly asked to test Weiss's skills after speaking with her, Weiss is 100% sure she's gonna get her ass whooped even with her improvements. ] but overall I've had much more.. positive responses to not involving all of you than I'd hoped. At least from Winter and Glynda. I'm still not sure what I should expect from you.

Mercury already has a deal from me and has for a while now. This is just expanding him to Nova City if he meets David's conditions, and David's discussing his conditions with me.

[There's an audio feed, though there is no sound other than the sounds of his surroundings as he tries to think of what exactly to say. After like ten seconds, it shuts off. The connection is still live, as in he didn't close it, but he didn't say anything either.]

[ Well it's not an answer, but it's better than she had been getting. Weiss waits to see if there's a response, but after a while she gets annoyed again. Leaving it open just to make a point about not talking to her was just... immature and hurtful. Moreso than actually ignoring her, even if it was a relief to know that he was at least okay. ]

If you don't at least talk to me now, I'm going to march over there and find you myself and follow you around until I'm needed in Nova City. Even if it means yelling at me or calling me stupid or rude or a horrible person or comparing me to my father or whatever other things you end up saying, it's fine. I may not be your official "teammate" but I think we've been through enough together that you can at least talk to me, Sun.
