FIGHT CLUB
WHO: Anyone who's there for Fight Club and knows the first rule. :)
WHAT: Fight Club.
WHEN: 1:30am on 5/22.
WHERE: An empty warehouse on 1428 Vibernum, Genessia.
WARNINGS: Violence. Probably language, but mostly violence.

If your character goes to the warehouse and finds the door, they'll be asked what the first rule is. If they get it right (you do not talk about fight club) then they'll get let in and the first thing they'll see is a banner with the following rules (slightly modified from the original):
Tagging: Do what you want, but respect any noted OOC preferences. This is a fight club thing, so people will be injured, but if you have a specific injury you definitely don't want your character to suffer NOTE IT. No one can read your mind.
If your character breaks the rules:
:( Don't do that. Seriously, they won't be allowed back in and any location announcements will automatically be blocked from that character.

senji had already stripped off his tank top, ready to fight shirtless in the ring. if he was going to participate in a fight like this, he definitely wanted to go all out with the tradition. in order for others to get a good feel of what they would be up against when it came to him, he had already sliced his forearms, the swirls of blood forming around his body as he waited for an opponent to approach him. the tendrils squirmed, itching to slice into someone already. his branch of sin would definitely be categorized as a weapon.]
Oi oi- I don't want no fuckin' cowards fightin' me. You wanna go, then we're gonna go all out 'till one of us has to go to the hospital- buahaha! [he was saying that to anyone who passed by, basically advertising what he wanted to them.]
I only got one rule- I'm Crow here, got it?

[ Hey, he kept saying how he wanted to fight Weiss, right? Well, she's definitely not taken her shirt off. Or even her jacket. She carefully chose not to wear a white jacket in case of blood, given what she remembered about these meetings. ]
I told you you'd be glad you came.
no subject
[he is definitely trained and ready to go. senji doesn't care what she's wearing, he just wants to hurry up and fight.]
Hell yeah, glad I trusted ya and showed up. So... [senji's blood continued to swirl around him.] We're gonna fight, right?

[ It'll be in Nova City, so she has a feeling at least one former member she knows about might show. Which may be emotional for some new members, but that's why she chose not to have the first meeting in a long while in Nova City.
Weiss draws Myrtenaster, her eyes on his blood for a brief second before returning to his face. ]
May the best fighter win.

[senji takes several steps back from her, now forming his blades. they become long and sharp, angled at his forearms and he already felt the thrill of the fight. he knew about her own abilities, and he knew this was going to be a fight to remember.]
Don't disappoint me.
[senji grinned at her and then he was the first to take off. he knew that she would deflect many of his advances, but he needed to get a feel for how she fought before knowing how this fight was going to go. he knew she fought gracefully, elegant and practiced, but he could also tell she didn't have as much experience as him when it came to fighting in a ring. he charged at her, staying low and slicing at her, his long blades craving the sensation of cutting into her skin.]
Open!
So. My first night. Who wants a piece of me?

"I will be your opponent."
no subject
"Very well. Let us do glorious and fabulous battle. But first may I have the name of my opponent?"
no subject
She straightened up, folding her hands over her apron. She seemed calm but her once blue eyes were smoldering red. "When you are ready we shall begin. I concede the first strike to you."

He mimics the bow, slipping the rose into his mouth. "Very well miss Izayoi. But I warn you. I've killed many devils, and I'm not about to lose to the hired help."
As he straightens up, the skeletal wings shift and two glowing swords slide into Dante's hands. He strikes a pose. "Enguarde!" He shifts his grip on the blades, throwing one at Sakuya's face, though half a second after it leaves his hand, the blade freezes in the air, an eerie flame engulfing it, quickly followed by a second, third, and fourth, all hanging in the air at various angles.

In the same instant two well-polished boots connected with Dante's lower back as the maid's entire weight connected with him just under Lucifer. She wasn't taking any chances either, catching herself on her hands and springing back, landing in a defensive posture.
"You should know I've killed my fair share of both devils and hunters alike. Dismiss my ability at your own risk."
no subject
He turns, swords sliding into his hands between each finger, and in a fluid motion, he tosses them into the air before clapping. The swords vanish and reappear, forming a barrier around him. "Care to try again?"
Another pair of swords slide from the wings into his hands, and from within the barrier of swords he starts throwing more, this time they travel a bit farther before stopping, making for a labyrinth of blades for Sakuya to traverse.

And she rushed toward him, eyes glowing red as time began to dilate. Each hand held a knife, using her thumb to brace the handle against her palm, using the flat of the blades, to turn away the hovering swords.
She flicked her wrists at the last moment, drawing the knives up into her hands to strike.
no subject
"You're not the only one with a fancy trick like that, miss maid."
no subject
The rose was concerning... but she barely had time to process it, shying reflexively away from it. The explosions singed her dress, but nothing else, the maid weaving through the swords with an almost inhuman agility.
Time dilated between her movements, whatever power she had was tearing at quicksilver, though it seemed less fluid than it had been before Dante activated it. She still managed to throw knives between her dodges, the weapons traveling a good ways before time caught and slowed them.
"Good! I've not had a challenge in too long!" She was smiling.

"Hit me with your best shot mon amie~! I promise you I can take anything you dish out."
Open
He can't turn off his healing abilities but if he stays in his human form he'll bleed. Toby removes his shirt, it seems to be the thing to do, and tosses it to the side. He waits for his turn, his muscles tensing and flexing as he rolls his shoulders. Fighting is something he's familiar with, it's a comfort and the animalistic part of him is happy for the chance to envelop himself in that joy.
He only hopes that the people here are made of tougher stuff than the human's he's met. Like a good boy, he waits his turn.]

Still, she's never seen this guy here before so she walks up in all her 5'3" with heels at least 3-4" on glory. ]
You know it's a rule that you have to fight on your first night.
no subject
He nods his head, his arms falling to his sides.]
Are you volunteering?
[He really wants to punch something.]

I didn't send out the address because I wanted to stand around and watch all night.

Open!
Upon finding just what kind of place she was brought to, Weiss is definitely receiving a one armed Yang-style hug. Bone-breaking and everything before she's dashing onto the floor, gauntlet unfolding from her bangle as she goes into a boxing stance, though painfully altered through her missing right arm.]
ALright, who wants a piece of me? And don't think I'll be easy just because I'm a girl.
OTA
It was probably obvious that he was clueless with the way he was standing around doing nothing but watching people go in and not come back out, but he wasn't so sure of what else to do. There was a rule, sure, but he'd yet to figure it out. Maybe he'd get lucky and someone would take pity on him if he stood there a few hours longer. ]
i herd u liek CR
Ted was there, actually out of his usual flamboyant clothes, trying
in vainto look discrete. He was hopelessly interested in the conversations that went on in the network. Being private is one thing. But this operation didn't steadfastly deny being legal, as any righteous thing totally would. Suspicious! There's a chance these people might be up to no good. That and, well, Ted's a sucker for secrets.Much like this man. Ted didn't know his name, but he did know him for the one who'd asked enough questions to make this underbelly look sufficiently seedy. He felt a curiosity brother to his own. Being an avid consumer of almost every network post, Ted did the usual internet sleuthing to come up with what this guy looked like based on the text post. Ted whispered his greeting.
"Psst. Hello. Do you, like me, want to see what's inside that den of darkness?"
ya herd right buddy my pal
When an unfamiliar face finally approached, he squinted slightly. He was probably being too hopeful in wanting someone he at least knew of to show up, but it wasn't as though he knew too many people yet anyway. There was also the fact that he'd scold most of those people for being there.
He studied the younger man for a moment, his eyebrow peaking in interest. ]
... is this a trick question or can I actually trust that we have the same intentions?
[ Not that he gave out trust like candy, but it was worth asking. ]

[ Okay. Telling the guy that his idea of a trick was that he could be out scouting human sacrifices for the cult behind the door was probably not a good move.
He let his words drop off and instead stared at the headset, his expression showing he didn't quite know how to respond. There were only so many things you could do with that kind of equipment and he wasn't so sure he liked the conclusions he was coming to. He didn't take the headset and but continued to look at it instead of making eye contact. ]
What is this for?
[ A stupid question, maybe, but he wanted to know if they were on the same page or if he should flip right ahead to the next chapter. ]

"Ah, excuse me. You must be one of those medieval types." He thought about how he could get the concept across to Fred Flintstone. "This thing allows you to listen to a certain spot from far away; as though you were really there! It's the same principle behind these things." Ted rattled his network device.
"Only, I've worked it out so that we've got the ears of a fly on the wall, so to speak, right beside that mysterious portal we're both so eager to investigate. Want to try?"
no subject
I know what it is.
[ He held out his palm, pretty clearly not interested. ]
Listen, I have an obligation to stay out of trouble. That includes not breaking the law. So unless you've got a legal idea or a plan B I'm going to have to need at least three rapid fire reasons within the next 30 seconds as to why I shouldn't report you to the guards personally.
[ It wasn't that he wanted to make an enemy out of Ted, but he couldn't afford to be the kind of person that took weighty risks either. Not anymore. ]

Eavesdropping, as a crime, was tricky depending on the definition of public spaces, reasonable expectations of privacy, and the approach Genessia City took to the whole thing. Throw in the how obviously suspicious the whole operation looked, and a fine was the probably the worst one could expect.
Not that Ted especially cared. That 'crime' seemed small potatoes compared to whatever was going on in there. That Jefferson got cold feet left him profoundly disappointed. He got up with a huffy air, speaking with a slight measure of contempt. "Apologies, I've misjudged you." Ted prepared to collect his things and exeunt. How one expected to avoid trouble when dealing with such a patently troublesome outfit was more than he could guess.
