So... Let me get this clear. The guardians are people who nominate themselves and are elected into the position of power to do whatever they want?

So if one were to want to take over, would that mean they would have to take them out in order to do so?

Absolutely not. The Guardians are people who are in charge of protecting their respective city, and all of Genessia when the situation calls for it. They don't get to "do whatever they want." It's a position of responsibility, not a position of power.

Yes, but in that logic they 'do whatever they want' in terms of protection. Think outside the box instead of what they spoon feed you. If they thought it was for 'protection' they would be able to do it no questions asked.

Face it, it is a form of power they have over everyone here.

Didn't say I would nominate myself.

But the word guardian is probably just a pretty word for something else. Like dictator. They decide if your protected or not after all. They could decide one day that they don't want to help and it would be considered okay.

I really haven't been here long enough to know. I don't think dictators have elections though I could be wrong - and wouldn't people just kick them out of office if they did a bad job?

Unfortunately, it is not that simple. If it were, I'm sure this place would have frequent battles for the Guardian's position. Which would certainly make this place more interesting.

It was my understanding that the guardians could either nominate themselves or be nominated by other people. I fail to see how this is an issue; it's how many other governments elect their leaders. Nominees often campaign for a good year or so in order to prove that they are the best candidate available after expressing interest in running for office.

Wanting to lead people isn't always synonymous with a hostile take over.

Someone pointed out the fact that dictators are a thing, which is not actually something that was what people would call a 'thing' back home. We had royality and that was it.

But if you pay attention it seems like what you are explaining is actually not what seems to happen here.

It would be easier to just wait until the next election and run for guardian.

The pay-off would be better too. Even if you weren't popular if someone tried challenging you the way you're planning, you would have more people on your side than if you just took over.

Basically, there are too many people here so it won't work.
