So... Let me get this clear. The guardians are people who nominate themselves and are elected into the position of power to do whatever they want?

So if one were to want to take over, would that mean they would have to take them out in order to do so?

It was my understanding that the guardians could either nominate themselves or be nominated by other people. I fail to see how this is an issue; it's how many other governments elect their leaders. Nominees often campaign for a good year or so in order to prove that they are the best candidate available after expressing interest in running for office.

Wanting to lead people isn't always synonymous with a hostile take over.

I am paying attention. I understand what you are implying, and I'll say this: coups d'état rarely end well, especially for those doing the overthrowing.

You would be wise not overestimate yourself or underestimate the people here. There are no doubt a number of them who would step up to do just that.
