[A man glanced around and took shaky, shallow breaths, with eyes as wide as saucers. Behind him was some part of the forest in Fayren but, even in the coming evening gloom, it was apparent something had happened.
The trees were scorched, but there was no fire. They were drenched, but they weren't next to any apparent water. And, on top of that, something had ripped through some of them and torn a few in half.
Bracken was unscathed even if he looked alarmed. He clung to his staff like he needed it to live, and otherwise had some plain looking but clean robes. The only notable thing would be the necklace tied to his belt, rather than placed around his neck.]
H-Help! A, A little girl is after m-me!
[His voice was tense and manic with fear.]
[Action - Fayren]
[Bracken wasn't particularly hiding. Anyone could stumble up on him if they wanted.
They wouldn't find any little girls anywhere. She didn't exist. The damage done to that piece of the forest, however, was very real, and was only around the area that Bracken was standing.
Rather than introducing himself, he had managed to find an area that looked most familiar to him and wandered there. And there was no reason to stop him - he was quiet and wasn't causing any trouble. But after meandering into the forest for a while, well, somehow this had come about...]

If you could say anything without apologizing, what would you say?
Action
He was stuck on replying for a little bit. Mostly because he wanted to apologize for apologizing, and he made the start of the sound and caught himself. Second, he was terrible at coming up with stuff off the top of his head. It was when he looked at the boar that he finally came up with something, with a smile.]
Th-Thanks for the food. Is, is it done cooking yet?
[Yes, it had been about a minute, but he was expecting it to be done. That's how it worked where he was from.
At least the drink was simple enough. And the taste reminded him a bit of the type of things Thistle liked. Though... he didn't know that he could get drunk, so that would probably be a bad thing in his future.
...He still didn't know what a weenie was. Apparently it was someone who apologized for being a weenie. But then, how did one get called a weenie to begin with? This was going to take some serious puzzle-solving skills.]
Action
Not bad. And not yet. [fills him up like a pal and then leans back on his elbow]
So you're new here, right?
Action
He nodded, very tempted to leave it at that because it answered the question. But, he forced himself to say a little more.]
I-I came here to try and teleport home. But... But it's not working.
[He furrowed his brows, unsure what to think of that. It looked like an area where it should have been working. He'd keep trying, but it was a little scary having it just not work suddenly.]
Action
Hey you ever seen a Fishman dance? [because Namur has got some sick moves]
Action
I... I've never seen a Fishman.
Action
Ahh Fishmen are like... Okay so you have two...phe... phoen....phubble types... Namur is a bullshark fishman so he's blue-grey and has a lot of sharp teeth and looks like this a lot. [pulls the corner of his mouth down]
And then you have merpeople who look like humans above the waist and fishy below.
Re: Action
Phubble...
[He murmured. He wasn't positive what is looked like, but Namur sounded kind of scary.
He brightened at the other one, however. He could relate to that!]
I-I've seen merpeople... B-But how could they dance? They... They don't have legs.
Action
[comparatively speaking anyway
He gets up to turn the boar]
What's your place like?
Action
But he came back, glancing at him.]
M-My place? Well... I... I have a bedroom, and... and a sitting room...
["His place" was "his home", right? At least that was how he took it, instead of describing his world. He realized he actually didn't know the names for all the rooms. On top of which, many rooms that were unneeded in his world just didn't exist because they'd be pointless.]
Umm... It's really, really big. I guess, I guess I don't need it th-that big? U-Usually, just Thistle comes over.
[His mind meandered around but when it settled on a certain memory he lit up, looking at Ace with a big smile and his speech even quickened - although that certainly didn't help with his stuttering.]
B-But my favorite spot is the b... balcony. You, You can look down on the... the clouds.
Action
The boar looks to be done so he sticks his foot in the fire to bank it a bit so it'll be easier for this guy to reach without burning himself]
You must live pretty high up. [or] Is it some sky island?
Action
I-It's on a mountaintop.
[He looked at Ace to determine if it was all right to reach out before grabbing one of the legs to tug on it. It wasn't the first time he had something cooked over a fire, but a lot of details were different. Usually the meat didn't still look like the animal it came from, and it wasn't so... hot. Or difficult to take apart.
After the first tug he set down his staff and put his other hand on the side of the boar, pulling until it came off. He examined it for a moment before taking a bite. It was pretty juicy.]
Wh-When I find a way back, you... You could come see it, if you want.
Action
But I've been to a lot of mountaintops. What's interesting about it? What would you show someone whose never been there?
Action
[He wasn't sure if it was really better than any other mountaintop. He shrugged.]
I-I'm not sure... J-Just my home, I... I guess. I just... I just liked that it was quiet, and... And away from any cities.
