[Action/Video] Arrival at the Bay
[Action]
[This can't be happening! Lost in some foreign land and no way to call her friends or family. There must be a payphone or something around to call home. Before she got far, she encountered the hologram calling itself 'Weiss Schnee.' While Weiss was very pretty, all of that was completely forgotten when she said they were now in a entirely different world from her own and with no way to go home.
Sakura was doing her best not to panic, telling herself everything is going to be all right. She puts her shoes back on checks the contents of the box. First the brochures were read, very unsettling, then followed the instructions to work this videophone.]
[Video]

"Hello? Is this working? I'm Sakura Kinomoto, and I think I'm lost. I'm from Tomoeda, Japan. I listened to Miss Weiss Schnee, about being in another world... T-This isn't some sort of joke, is it?"

As to whether this is a comic place, I can only say definitively: "sometimes". If it is a joke, it is very elaborate, for the punchline has been a long time coming. If it means to be funny, then it has a complex and ingenious sense of humor.

"The last thing I remember was being in class, and then I'm here... ...if this really is a joke, it's not funny."
no subject
Mm, but is that because it's a poor joke, or because you've no taste for it? It's funny--in a queer, not humorous, way--how out of all the reactions to arrival, none that I've seen express humor. Shock, bewilderment, wonder, even sorrow, but not so much as a chuckle. Perhaps you're right: it isn't funny.
But it might prove a relief. From what I hear, Japanese schools are very strict. You may as well enjoy the sudden holiday. Anything you want to know or do with this fresh and startling liberty?

"I would like to know a way home so I can be with my friends and family."
[It doesn't hurt to ask.]

[Sakura, he is disappoint]
Ted may have been too cheery in responding. "Nothing so far! I believe this world, Genessia, needs something of us; indeed, we may need something from it. Let us not leave the field trip till we've seen, learned, and done all we need."

What could I have that Genessia wants?"

[And already saying that was so. Really. Weird when it was not Sakura he knew.]
This isn't Tokyo anymore. You're a long way from home.
Re: video;
"...But is there a way to get back home? A bus? Anything?"
video;
[As much as he didn't like saying it when people wanted to go home, he knew he had no.]
As much as I hate saying it to people who do want to go home... it's a thing.

[She pretty much knows the answer at this point, but she wanted to at least ask since it hadn't come up elsewhere yet while talking to others.]
video;
[He wondered if he should explain about other worlds in more detail.]
But at the same time you can learn about said others worlds through the people who come here.

[ Konoka's face is at first a picture of sympathetic understanding. Though once she sees Sakura, she blinked. Hadn't she seen this girl before... albeit older? She does look even more adorable now. ]
The best thing to do is find a good place to live, as we're stuck here.
Re: [video]
Everything will be all right. Before long, Kero and Tomoyo will realize she's gone and figure some way to bring her home,]
"...I don't know where to go. I'm afraid I don't have any money, except for what I found in this box."
Re: [video]
Please hang in there! Life here isn't that bad at all!
[ Konoka couldn't stand to see someone feel that miserable. She'd have to do everything in her power to help her out! ]
Have you met a Yukiko Amagi-han? She has a very nice inn you can stay at while you figure out where to go.
Re: [video]
[the camera can see the corner of a map, she is mumbling the inn's name while she looks for it.]
"Ah, here! And it doesn't look to be too far either."
[video]
[ Konoka calms her voice, talking in a slightly more soothing manner. ]
Once you're feeling better, I think there's a school for kids you can attend!

[though he looks and sound mild as he says this. Also his face is streaked with fingerpaint. Don't mind him]
What grade would you happen to be in?
Re: [video]
"I'm in the 4th grade."
[video]
Then you won't be under my care. Unless you happen to be in the same school...
Re: [video]
"Phwee?
"I don't understand what you mean."
[video]
[the 'pwhee' makes him smirk a bit.]
Do you happen to have a loose seam? [some of the air is escaping, he means]

[Serious grumpy face, but he's trying not to be grumpy, honest!]
Sorry, it's not a joke.
Are you all right? Want help getting anywhere other than back home? Like for food or something?
video;
[ At least Sakura seems to be told that by someone who's rather close to her age? That might be a bit of a relief. ]
video;
"I don't even know what to think about all this. Have you been here long?"
video;
[ Although time, honestly, is rather relative. ]
I think you'll get used to it after a while...
