[So Ace got wopped in the mouth by a newspaper crashing through the window. He has to find that news coo so he can tip him because what great service! He gets to be the first one to read it even around the damp sections.

But he also found something that could not be borne.

A Puppy Prison.

Who would do such a horrible thing?

Well whoever would do it, Ace wouldn't tolerate it.

He takes some time to strategize, and then around 1pm, sends this video out to everyone]

Puppies were meant to be free! I won't let anyone hold them hostage under my watch! No matter what they've done!

[and he throws back his head and howls, a few of the dogs howling with him, before the jail break commences.

And after?]

[And he can go tentacle smoke mode.]

[And picks them all up at once to get a good look at them and make sure they won't pee on things or bang their heads on engine parts.]

She has to take a moment to keep from doing more before reaching to take one so she can put it down gently beside her chair. ]

Why are there even so many running around?

I don't know. I don't see any tags, but my dog never wore a collar either. We were both street punks though. I only got my tags as a marine.

[Looks them over, trying to find tags, but nope!]

Maybe there's something in the papers.

The only thing I saw in the newspaper about dogs was the opening of a new dog shelter. I sincerely doubt this was intentional on their part though.

[ She'll absently rub the goose-egg the damn thing gave her before reaching into her chair's back pocket to pull out the copy she still has. At least Smoker can read it now?

She might have also yelped earlier when it hit her, if Smoker is still wondering what that was about. ]

Huh. How do they know it was the robber who murdered her? Maybe he was running to get help. The employee is way more suspicious if you ask me.

I would not know. Whether they are from there or not, it may be best to return them. If nothing else, then their owners will know where to look if there is an announcement about it and these happen to be some peoples' pets.

She does smile down at one particular little fluffball who hasn't left her side for whatever reason, leaning down to scratch behind its ears gently. ]

We probably do have enough room for one or two, if they do not already have owners. But we should still return them all first to make sure, right?

[ She sighs as she picks up the surprisingly heavy puppy to put onto her lap -- and laughs when it starts licking her face. ]

Noo~ Stop that! Come on, let us take you back~

Well... we should get them breakfast at least.

[He might!!! Okay maybe not. But he'll fob off the rest on Ace.]

Dogs can eat omelets without onions or peppers.

[BRB GOING TO MAKE A GIANT OMELETTE BREAKFAST DOOM.]

[And then he'll have to go shopping later, but worth it.]

[Besides, it's not a good idea to keep food in their fridge. Portgas will eat it all.]

[ Eventually she does wheel in, closing the shop door and locking it before flipping the sign to closed.

The squirming (and very heavy) puppy is still trying to get at Adela's face even as she's trying to hold it still. By this point she's figured out that the dog is male, at any rate. ]

You are certain all of that is good for the dogs?

Yup.

The marines are known as two things in my world. Dogs and seagulls.

[And justice. But that goes without saying. Like Whitebeards and vengeance.]
