Okay, so, I'm sure I won't have to tell Vegeta because like me, he probably felt this but... I have something of a public service announcement. There is an alien here that I have... personal experience with. I would love to say he's exaggerating on his claims, but he's mostly not. Okay, story time...

[He clears his throat and all.]

So, I crossed paths with him on the Planet Namek, looking for a way to restore the Dragon Balls of my world with their Dragon Balls - it's a long story, but whoever assembles the balls gets a wish. Anyway, Frieza and his army were looking for the balls so Frieza could wish for immortality. My buddy Goku was able to beat him... but only after he killed me with a single gesture. Oh, and Planet Namek? Didn't survive the fight.

Goku and Frieza's battle blew up an entire planet. And that wasn't Frieza's first. Or third. Frieza is a ruthless, bloodthirsty, power-hungry psychopath that won't hesitate to kill if you get in his way. Heck, look at him wrong and you might get vaporized. Or he may do it for fun. Just... steer clear of him.

Let Vegeta, 18, and I handle him. We're... probably the best equipped to do that.

I live with her. She's sort of like my daughter here. And she's already scared to death from his threats. She won't go anywhere near him, and if we have to evacuate her, she'll be the first one I get out. In fact making sure she gets to safety might be the only way to get Portgas not to go off recklessly.

So he uses Haki then. Damn. I was hoping it wasn't that.

Just what exactly is it that Vegeta can do that surpass him?

Vegeta is what's called a Saiyan. Saiyans are already far stronger than humans, and have a natural affinity for ki-based combat. They were one of the strongest races in the universe, which is why Frieza wiped most of them out.

However, a few survived, including Vegeta. Since then, Vegeta has been able to tap into a power called "Super Saiyan", which transforms his body and increases his abilities exponentially. I don't know exactly how it works, but it works. And honestly, Saiyans don't really have limits like humans do. They get stronger after every fight and in the 30 years I've known my best friend, Goku - who is another Saiyan - I've not seen any sign of his power stopping.

If anyone can beat Frieza, Vegeta can.
