Who: Bartolomeo and YOU
What: Bartolomeo has decided to rebuild his East Blue criminal empire and is looking for a few good men, women, fishmen, pokemon, etc. And by good he means bad because good men will stop him. At least, they can try.
Where: primarily Genessia and Fayren
When: July 20-28 pick a day any day
Warnings: Bartolomeo is vulgar and violent and even if he doesn't do anything he'll certainly talk about it.
[For a couple of days Bartolomeo roamed around checking out each of the cities through the archways, and he learned two important things rather quickly. One, he needed to get Namur back for telling him to go to Everglade. Two, it was clear that he could do quite well for himself by revisiting his former occupation. Before he became a pirate. It's only been two years, he's still got the knack. There did seem to be enough petty thugs and hoodlums running around that really could benefit from a boss, but the trouble was getting them to sit still and listen to a stranger who didn't necessarily know all the ins and outs of their world yet. Not that it would stop Barty from attempting to recruit, but he had to go about this some other, better way.
In Genessia he mostly skulks around looking for interesting things. Alleys where delinquents gather. Seedy hotels. Blind spots where police and guardians aren't paying attention. Or are they? Despite his 7 feet of flamboyant appearance, Bartolomeo doesn't necessarily appear to be up to anything suspicious, but once in a while he'll do something obnoxious like press his nose up against a restaurant window and make faces at the people trying to eat, smear a booger on a lamppost, or casually take an unattended purse and rifle through it.
Okay, maybe that last one is more than a little suspicious, even though he doesn't seem bothered by the woman beating on his arms to get him to let go and give it back.]
What? I'm just lookin' for a hankie. Ooh, the money here is super-pretty, look at all of that...
[Meanwhile, in Fayren, there is the sea. Ooh, Barty could get to like it here. It's a little less sophisticated than even Loguetown or Dressrosa, but not by much. It feels a little more like home, and he finds the small-fry criminals a lot more to his liking. Crueler, quicker to act, less likely to whine about it. Here, he's less wary of law enforcement and has a good time approaching anyone who looks like they'd provide him with a good time.]
Oi, you. Yeah, you. What would you think of runnin' with a guy like me for a bit, huh? I'm sure the money's gotta be good if we'd just stick together. What do you think?
[In both places, he can be approached for confrontations or negotiations. Should he be stopped before he offends again, or is it more fun to egg him on? Should he be taken in before he can actually start stealing and threatening, or does that kind of racket sound right up your alley? Or, hey, is this some new wannabe crime boss horning in on your turf? As far as Bartolomeo is concerned, there are five towns ripe for the picking. He's narrowed it down to two for a headquarters for his gang. Now, to recruit some like-minded ruffians!
It can be any day between July 20 and 28, whenever and wherever.]

Excuse me. You would do well to return the lady's purse to her.
no subject
[oh look at the adorable girl coming to tell him what to do. Bartolomeo grins, but it's less dangerous than usual]
Aw, c'mon, I was just looking to see if she had a handkerchief to borrow.
[he doesn't quite give it back, but he does drop his hands to his sides. The woman can reach her purse now, but his grip is more firm than it looks and she's left just yanking on it, trying to get it free. Barty squares his shoulders and studies the girl with the sword, showing now the tanto stuck in his belt]
What's the matter, gonna make me?
no subject
I could lend you a handkerchief if you give the purse back. Otherwise, I will make you.
no subject
Ehhhhh...
Barty loosens his grip just enough to let the woman snatch her purse back and beat feet out of there]
Good, because I really gotta blow my nose.
no subject
Here you go.
no subject
Snot. Everywhere.
But at least Barty was sincere, he really did have to blow it.]
Ahhhhh much better. Thanks, shortie. [here, want it back?]
no subject
You can keep it. You might want to take that thing out of your nose, however. It might be a little cleaner that way.

Genessia: Sycamore
[He's also got some Jazz blasting, and occasionally whistling along.]
[Best worst cop.]
[His ears perk at the skulking punk and he lowers the sunglasses (hey he has a migraine, shut up) to glare over at Barty.]
Still keeping your nose clean?
[HE HAS HIS DOUBTS.]
no subject
'Sup Smoker. His hair's probably a lot bigger than you remember.]
Oh, you know. More or less.
[a lot less, handkerchief incident excepted]
This what's keeping you busy these days? Man. How the mighty have fallen.
no subject
[He just snorts, rolls his eyes, and goes back to work.]
I've always enjoyed this, idiot. Just as a hobby before. I thought working on this shit instead of trying to keep morons like you out of robot police's hair might be good for my health, and their upkeep.
[Something like that. He was also testing fate.]
[But don't think he'll just let anything go under his watch.]
no subject
Guess things aren't so cut and dried when you don't have any authority around here, eh? Heheh! Don't you worry, I haven't gotten in anyone's hair yet. [yet] Just takin' a nice little stroll on a nice day.
[sure, it's damn hot, but looking cool is all about not caring about the sweat running down your back under that long coat]
no subject
So far.
[STARES AT AGAIN.]
[YEAH HE MEANS SEEING HOW THEY HANDLE YOU.]
[SINCE HE MISTAKENLY ASSUMED OTHERS WOULD STOP YOU IN YOUR TRACKS FOREVER AGO...]
[And clearly no.]
no subject
[no, really, he hasn't done anything besides being a nuisance, but he'll let Smoker contemplate that]

Was.. that a booger he was smearing over the glass? Joseph felt a little ill]
no subject
So he ups the ante, and pulls one eyelid down, waggling his tongue at the guy who regretfully made eye contact with him]
no subject
Full body shudder]
I'm uh...trying to eat...
no subject
[he heard something through the glass but this is Bartolomeo, he has to be a shit]
Whatcha eatin'?
no subject
Why him?]
Stew... [he holds up a spoonful. And then... trying to be diplomatic]
Could...you stand somewhere else?

[Barty instantly drops the purse, whose owner scoops it up and gets the hell out of there. He cringes for a second, covering the lump on his head, and turns to snarl at whoever dared to get the drop on him...
...OH SHIT ACE-SAMA]
Uh. Hi.
no subject
We better catch up.
[niisama has got to teach you manners. You'd better run alongside unless you want manners the hard way]
no subject
[but but Ace-sama...okay. Although, the poor girl seems to be even more flustered now that it looks like these two brigands are chasing her. Oops.]
no subject
Oi! Oi lady wait!
[but she doesn't seem to want to wait. Damnit. How is he going to teach manners if she gets away]
Barty! Take that alley and go cut her off!
no subject
[internally: KYAAAAAAAAAA
But he still mans himself long enough to jog to the side and dart down an alley. If she turns a corner, any corner, she'll run smack into him]
