So, after a few hours of some private time in The Bay, it would appear that Kodachi Kuno has managed to, perhaps in record time, land herself a patsy to do her bidding- At least that's the impression she has thus far! Having some experience before in the whole 'dropped into another world' thing, she'd managed to both get him somewhat up to speed on his situation, as well as convinced him that she's very... Helpless, and in need of a strong, handsome man to take care of her.

Which brings us to now, in which she's convinced him to get a job so she'll have time to do more important things, like.. ... ....... .. Not work, for one. At current the duo are standing in line at the employment facility, and the plan (at least for now) is to get him hired as a chef.

Kodachi herself is adorn in her brown St Hebereke school uniform with the most innocent expression on her face, though she's really here to make sure he doesn't get cold feet and run away or something silly like that.

"Oh! I have a most brilliant idea, why don't we introduce ourselves to the network!" the Black Rose suggests with a brilliant smile, and before the man can respond, Kodachi is already holding Brock's arm and holding the rune out as if she were taking a selfie.

When the feed goes live, viewers are greeted with the face of a young schoolgirl adorn in a brown school uniform, holding the arm of a young man possibly a little older than herself.

"Good day everyone, how do you do?" beat "That's good; I'm Kodachi Kuno and I've arrived not too long ago with my very close, very cute friend Brock! Look at him, isn't he so handsome?" another pause, "Yes, of course he is, but anyway I just wanted to let you all know that this talented young man is a fantastic chef where he's from. Why, he's the best in the very world!"

"So if you're clever, and I know all of you chickadees are so very clever, you'll be certain to come to wherever he's going to work at and give him all of your money! Doesn't that sound lovely? Of course it does, I thought of the idea after all! But I digress, everyone don't hesitate to say hello to him, all right? Thank you~."

[Kodachi doesn't look like she was expecting that question. She glances upward, then just gives the sweetest smile.]

He's the most wonderful cook! Quite easily the greatest in all of Genessia! And he's also incredibly kind and brave..

He found me unconscious at the Bay and has taken care of me since~.

Wow, that's really kind of him! He must be a very nice man~

[Though... the greatest cook in all of Genessia? Well, she'll believe it when she gets a sample. Should be easy enough to convince her that he's really good, though--she's envious of anyone who actually can cook...]

He is! He's very polite and a little shy.. Oh, and most importantly he's quite manly!

[A bit of a jab there, but look at that sweet smile!]

Well, being polite and shy aren't entirely bad things...

[She does pick up on that jab a little, but it's more due to her personal opinion on the matter:]

But is manliness really that important? Personally, I don't particularly want some macho man who can protect me, y'know? Being able to protect each other is more important.

[Kodachi gives a thoughtful look for a moment; she did nod in agreement to the first part but.. Somehow something was... off.]

So.. What you are saying is that you prefer the relationship the other way around, correct? What time did you say you're from again? The apocalypse?

[Because surely.. surely she can't be suggesting that Jeb is capable of protecting anyone. She'd believe that when she sees it!]

My world's pretty modern, thank you. [A thoughtful pause.] The kind of support I'd prefer is emotional, that's all!

[Not that Jeb's completely helpless in the defending department otherwise--neither of them are, with their elemental magic. But Jeb... Jeb's always been good at calming Tori down, even at his worst.

That's his greatest power, in a way. It's certainly something she'd envy, if she didn't love it so much.]

Is it! That's so nice!

[She doesn't believe that, of course. but the bright smile twitches; she's not exactly sure why, but the sentence after that makes her want to gag. Instead she looks as if she feels sorry for her company-to-be.]

I.. I see.. Well that is... Nice. Sweetheart, did you have parents as you grew up?

Of course I did.

[It's not a lie, but the answer is hollow. Quick, as if holding back on snapping at Kodachi. It's no easier to discuss the story behind that, even if Exsilium had given her enough maturity to not rip someone apart just from mentioning such things.]

My father runs a large company, dealing with only the finest and up-to-date electronics. He made sure my needs were met, and the needs of my sisters. Same with my step-mother. Why wouldn't he, when they have the resources to do that? [Which doesn't make up for the fact that neither of them could have been bothered to give a damn, but her answer protects her from having to tell the full truth. Half-lies never hurt anyone when it came to this.]

[While it is amusing, giving people a hard time over a network isn't quite as satisfying as doing so in person. She'll have to save some of this for later!

That said, Kodachi has no room to talk smack about being not raised by a mother and father- but that's her secret~.]

I see, well then it would appear I was mistaken~. So tell me, what do you like to eat?

Me? Well, I'm a big fan of curry.

[No point in lying about that, at least.]

Curry? That is a rather simple dish but.. I am always up for the challenge~.

[She nods.]

Well then, I shall be certain to plan ahead and look about for some recipes to choose from before heading home today! Do let me know of your superiors approval as soon as possible, would you?

Excellent! Sounds like a plan. I'll have Solaris know, but... [A pause.] She's not mine and Jeb's guardian. She's just someone who insists on protecting us.

I wonder if she'll want to come along...

Of course, dear.

[Note to self: Solaris is their guardian. She heard the last part, but isn't really interested in encouraging it.]
