[Tashigi greets the world with a smile. She's had some time to get comfortable with the device, and an introduction just seems proper. Especially now that she has a better idea of what she'd like to say. From the looks of it, Sycamore Cycles is in the background.]
Hello! My name is Tashigi, and I'm a recent arrival here. First, I'd like to give a warm thanks to Miss Schnee and the others who've done their best to help me understand the situation we're all in. Thank you very much for the help!
I haven't decided just what I want to do here, but after some recent advice, I've decided I want to learn as much as I can about this place. So, if you're in need of temporary help in a position, please let me know! Until I make my decision, I'm willing to work my hardest on any job that may arise. If you need to reach me in person, I'll likely be staying with V- [Whoops, there's no reason to pull rank here, is there? And she doesn't want to invite trouble with the pirates.]
... with Smoker until I become more acclimated.

[True to her word, Tashigi's exploring Genessia City to learn as much as she can. She can be found just about anywhere, smiling as she just tries to take it all in. She's not sure if it's considered rude to walk around with a weapon, but unless someone tells her so she's keeping her katana on her, just in case.]
[And if she can find a new store to supply her with her favored... colorful shirts? That's just a bonus.]

Maa, well ask someone if you don't. The people here are quite helpful. [and frankly he doesn't feel like explaining it]
I should be fine to get there. Um... is there anything I should bring? I could stop and get some snacks on the way.
[in other words, no]
Until then...
[he nods and cuts the feed and can be found waiting-- well outside the tea shop honestly, in an ice chair and getting sour looks from others as their tea gets cold. But it's hardly his fault he has no where else to sit]
[Action]
[She takes her seat across from him with a smile.]
Thank you for inviting me out, Admiral.
[Action]
[he's definitely talking about her height and not any other part of her that could lead to Sengoku wanting to murder him in his sleep]
[Action]
Yes, he was one of the first people I saw. I was very lucky. I plan on staying with him and Adela while I get on my feet.
[Oh... right. The time thing.]
Yes... it's been far too long, sir. Have you been well here?
[Action]
And I am not sure of this place's ability to protect its citizens... perhaps only evacuate if needs be and that will only exacerbate the problem if there is no one to fight it head on.
Also we seem to be getting a curious flood of people from our world. Don't you find that strange?
[Action]
[The rest... is easier to deal with, and that scares her.]
I agree. I'd heard about the Battler incident. It's... [She simply shakes her head, unable to find the word.]
And I do find it strange. Without knowing much, I can only wonder if maybe it's somehow easier for this place to take people who are already connected to someone here?
[Action]
...he doesn't get it either.
And though he hadn't meant the Battler incident specifically, it does make him sigh]
And he is not the only. Not long ago someone threatened to blow everything up should we not obey his demands. So far nothing has happened to follow up but I wonder--
[it's a pain to have so few details]
Perhaps you are right... [the tea arrives and he pours her a cup] Let us hope that does not include Sakazuki. ... He will not be happy.
[Action]
[The smile's vanished from her face, and that hard look says she's trying to choose her next words carefully.]
[Very, very carefully. Because while she trusts Kuzan, there are still certain things she shouldn't say no matter whether he's a former Admiral or not. Based on what Smoker said, he's still very much an Admiral.]
[It takes her a long time to come up with a somewhat short response.]
I don't think his... skills are needed here, from what I've seen.
[Action]
[fleet admiral problems]
You may speak freely, Captain. I am on vacation after all. And though I do get to hear Smoker's opinion more often than I'd like to, it's rare that I hear it from others.
[Action]
[Because if she speaks freely, it'd be considered treason back home. But she steels her resolve. This is her Justice, after all.]
I will never agree with his ideas of Justice. Not ever. Marineford was a pointless loss of life for everyone, and he only made it worse.
[Action]
[sits back and sips his own tea. It's gone cold but it always does]
Supposing the operation had gone off without a hitch. What then?
[Action]
[It comes out forcefully, but she's too passionate to notice right now.]
Portgas was a pirate, yes! He committed crimes, yes! He deserved punishment! But Crocodile nearly ruined a country. He caused countless deaths and wreaked havoc, and for his trouble he was sent to Impel Down. He deserved it.
Portgas... he did none of those things, but just for being born, he skips straight to the execution platform? How can his birth be a worse crime than Crocodile's? How can I call that justice?!
[Action]
And that boy, despite any say he had in the matter of his birth, could have changed the course of history. Could have become a figurehead for an even greater Pirate King. As it was his survival showed the world we had a weakness and could that weakness really be tolerated?
I suppose the ultimate question is this-- is the life of one greater than the lives of countless others? Greater than stability? Than peace?
[he has his own thoughts about this-- but he is more explaining the thoughts of her superiors. Not even necessarily Sengoku, though who really knew what he thought about anything. More the Gorosei who saw the world when it came in the form of politics and jockeying for power. How much and far they saw the world was beyond Kuzan's understanding but he was fairly sure that anyone not themselves or sacred Tenryuubito were no more worth than pieces on a chessboard]
[Action]
[Thank goodness he gave her permission to speak freely, because even if she can find the courage to say this to an Admiral she still cant stop her hands from shaking.]
I'm sorry Aokiji, but I've had a lot longer to think about this than you have, and I can't accept that as right. If the Marines start persecuting crimes that haven't been committed yet, where do we stop?
Maybe if it had gone through it would have saved lives. Or maybe it would have driven more people into the arms of the Revolutionaries. Or maybe nothing would have happened. It's why I've stopped wondering about the maybes, when I know for sure that on that day, Marineford was littered with the bodies of good Marines who didn't have to die. Marines who could have saved lives with their actions.
[Action]
You are in the minority, I'm afraid. It's a long difficult fight to the top of the hill but I am sure you can make it. However I wonder if you will find things to be so simple once you're there.
[it's not that he doesn't agree. He does. It was a foolish thing to do. And yet was there good from it? Was there bad? And for who? he had let Nico Robin grow up to see what she would become and now she was working with Strawhat, and by all accounts continuing her dangerous line of discovery--merely because she could, he supposed.
Was he wrong to set her free? Was he right? It still annoys him that he doesn't truly know even now. And the truth was he had been for the execution. Even then, all those years ago, a small part of him had considered it a good thing that such a notorious line could be stopped in its tracks.
But in the end was it? What was right? What was wrong? He wishes he could see the bright future Smoker does but all he can see is a world racked with instability. Especially if what Coby told him was true as he is sure it is. Sengoku gone. Sakazuki being an idiot. Fujitora gone so far as to put out his own eyes. And always the one piece looming on the horizon, waiting to rock the world to its core.
It reminds him of a story he heard once as a child, where a Tenryuubito after some great battle fell like the shining streak of a star. If things happened as he thought they might, there would be a veritable meteor shower. And yet was that right? Was that wrong? Everywhere he looked seemed bleak....
But he had been silent for a long time and it was time to let the brave captain relax]
Still, I can see why you are Smoker's right hand. If the world does change for the better it will be because of officers like you.
[Action]
[She's so lost in her own thoughts that she's completely unprepared for his compliment. It certainly diffuses the tension, and she finds herself trying to ignore a blush.]
Thank you, sir! But I'm afraid I still have a long way to go. My haki is still too weak.
[Action]
[he's been tempted to test it out honestly]
In other words failure is not as critical as it would be otherwise.
[Action]
Not permanent? What kind of place has the power over death?
